    Cedarbrook Outdoor Design/Build
Very professional; timely completion of work; very high quality of craftsmanship; easy to work with. Excellent at producing detailed, understandable plans, with parameters of the bid clearly spelled out and fulfillment in every detail. After nearly 10 years of use the patio needed some cleaning and touch up work from erosion. They completed this work with the same degree of care and competence. I recommend Cedarbrook most highly and without reservation.

They?re pretty good! It was expensive, there was a bunch of them, it was probably about $200. We have used them for like 6 years now. Did a fine job! It is a very small operation and the fellow who runs it is Byron Hawkins.

We have a large outdoor screened-in porch, when we moved in it was covered in old worn out indoor/outdoor carpeting on top of a poured concrete slab. The total on the entire job was $10,700 and I would give him a score of ?A?!

The main guy, Byron Hawkins was very experienced and was able to provide some insight as far as how to go about the job and the best product would look like. He was very helpful that way!   We did get other estimates.

    Under the Sun Landscape, Inc.
The work started as scheduled in June (estimated 2 week job, contingent upon weather delays) with two people on the job.  After a few days of work, the two man crew was reduced by one.  The 2 week job became a 6 week-plus job that included a one week vacation that Fred took during the construction project.
The constructed sitting wall was constructed with two capped columns.  Upon seeing the completed columns, I immediately pointed out the Fred that one column had a noticeable hole in the middle of it.  One of the large bricks used to construct the column had a broken corner that was blatantly obvious, and detracted from the otherwise well constructed column, yet Fred stated that he never noticed glaring hole.  One week later the hole was filled with a color matching substance.  The substance used to fill the hole was applied without regard to the appearance of the column itself i.e. the pattern of lines formed by the bricks were thrown off by the blob of material that filled the hole.  Additionally, the sitting wall bricks were never cut to meet the contour of the columns, so the sitting wall and the columns don't provide a somewhat seamless appearance, but rather appear to be two separate projects that were constructed independent of one another.
The adjoining sidewalk that Fred installed is uneven and allows for the formation of a water puddle each time it rains.  PVC pipe was installed to direct water from roof downspouts and Pop-up devices were installed in the lawn to allow for the even distribution of water to flow into the lawn whenever it rained.  I liked the idea and applauded the use of those devices, but during the lawn repair process, Fred buried one of the pop-up devices with dirt, grass seed and straw.  At my insistence, one week later, Fred returned to do a much needed better job at grading my lawn and to locate then uncover the buried pop-up device.
Without notice, or an inquiry to find out my level of satisfaction with his work, Fred disappeared and my emails and telephone calls went unanswered.  On November 18th, Fred emailed me asking for the fourth and final installment of the agreed upon payments.  I replied to Fred's email to inform him of my disappointment with his work and poor customer service, then committed to mailing him the agreed upon final payment the following day so as to sever our contractual relationship.

    Hoffman Landscaping
Brian Hoffman and his staff are true professionals. Brian came as scheduled at our first appointment to provide an estimate for the maintenance and repair work on pavers on the front walk, the front porch, and the patio in the back yard. We agreed on a time to do the work. The price quoted was also very reasonable. The work was performed in an outstanding professional manner. When it became clear that the job could not be completed as planned because it would have created a problem of accessibility for the homeowner, they decided to stop working and to continue and finish the job on the following day making a second trip to the job site. The quality of the work was outstanding.

    Riggs Landscaping, Inc.
I can not recommend Riggs Landscaping highly enough! For this project, Jim and his crew removed an existing concrete slab, trees, plants and mulch, built a retaining wall, leveled a large area to fit playground manufacturer specifications, and added wood chips to the area pursuant to the install of the playset. This was a huge a job and, as usual, Jim was punctual, fairly priced, and did an excellent job. He also got the work done in a short time frame which enabled us to have the playset installed earlier than expected, much to the delight of our daughter (and her parents)! We weren't sure what exactly to expect with regard the guidelines the playground manufacturer needed, so Jim was kind enough to speak to the company directly to work out the details and specifications, and then do the job around those parameters. We are so thrilled with the finished project and have gotten so many compliments on how it looks. I was nervous at first given the large area we were digging up and dedicating to this project. (We had existing landscaping that was very nice.) But Jim's vision resulted in a beautiful finished product that looks very nice in the yard and is very polished. We also use Jim for our flower bed cleanups in the fall and spring, and he has done sod work for us as well. Work is always well done, and Jim is as kind and honest as the day is long. Highly recommend!!

    Cedarbrook Outdoor Design/Build
The Cedarbrook team did a great job from start to finish.  We really enjoyed the overall experience and the end product is fabulous.  We've had several professional craftsman and carpenters who have been amazed by the overall quality and detail to attention with our deck and patio.  The quality and experience truly makes Cedarbrook standout from their competitors.

I have and I would continue to recommend Cedarbrook Outdoor Design/Build services to everyone planning to create or expand their outdoor living area.

    OldeTowne Historic Landscape
We highly recommend Jared Herman and the team at Olde Towne Historic Landscape. From design to installation they proved themselves as truly skilled tradesmen. They worked hard and efficiently and completed a job that would have taken many other contractors three times as long.
The scope of work included a new cedar fence, which varies from 4 to 6 foot in places and includes curves and architectural details which are stunning. They also resurfaced our garden - taking it from one uneven level to three terraces which are beautifully paved and edged and include a stone fountain in the center.
The job also included the installation of several large trees including two magnolias and four crape myrtles, as well as hedging and perennials.
They were very professional and punctual and we did not have to worry our children would overhear bad language or see inappropriate behavior.
We LOVE our garden and are glad we made the investment to have skilled professionals install, we did not have any headaches or hiccups that many others we know have experienced with their landscape contractor.

I should start off with saying that this review is way overdue but decided to write it anyways because of their great work! . From the beginning, Don Franz was extremely helpful and maintained constant contact throughout the process. I probably was not the easiest customer because I was not really sure what I wanted to be built. Don provided great ideas and left books for my review. The crew came out and began the project as soon as I got approval from the HOA. Prior to breaking ground, Doug came out and went over everything with me and marked the yard accordingly. In total, the project took a little over a week but I did not need to be home. At the end of each day, I would inspect the progress and notify Doug of any problems. Doug was extremely quick to reply and bent over backwards to accommodate the necessary changes. At one point, Doug nearly doubled the size of the front rock garden wall simply to make it more appealing to the eye. Overall, I could not be more pleased with their communication, professionalism, and work! I apologize for the long delay in writing this review but I definitely wanted to let you know that I appreciate all of your work. I'll be looking forward to working with y'all again on the next project!

We need some regrading done to our yard to start the project.  The person who answered the phone said that they don't do that type of work.  I asked if they had a company that they could subcontract to do the regrading work so that we could hire them to do the building work, and she told me "no."
I kept having to be put on hold every time I asked a question so that the person on the phone could check with someone else.
Needless to say, we didn't have the work done.
