    We hired Guardian Security to install cc cameras in our home. We opted out of the traditional alarm system as I work exclusively from home and my wife works from home 2 days a week.

    After obtaining quotes from a few companies, we decided to go with Guardian based on their very competitive pricing, stellar Angie?s list reviews, and outstanding references. We were completely thrilled with the installation and equipment. The installers were clean professional and very unintrusive as we were working from home that day.  All work was completed by day?s end and I received a full ?training session? on the use of the system prior to their departure. They even provided a remote app for my iPhone where I can monitor our home anywhere in the world!

    We would definitely recommend Guardian Security to anyone considering cc cameras.

    The Guardian sales rep was very thorough in going over all their available services and answered all our questions when ordering.  Although there were a few minor changes they were willing to make those without question.  The alarm technician that came in to activate my system was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in setting up the system the way we wanted it and even helped move the cable modem to make it more efficient in working with the data package that we had installed.  They were happy to extend the trial period and made sure we were comfortable with the system before going live and offered to help in any way.  
    We have had the system in place for almost a year without any issues or false alarms.  We feel very secure with the Guardian protection system.

    A friend suggested we call Vintage.  We have an autistic child who had developed a new skill they call "eloping".  very scary when your own child can sneak out of the house while you are home, but distracted with house cleaning and laundry. Long story short, we met with Steve from Vintage and identified which system would be best. Our scenario was a bit involved because we needed to involve a third party for billing purposes.  Even this did not pose a problem at all. Vintage was fantastic!  Start to finish an A+.We are finally able to relax in our own home again.  And child did indeed test the limits. But Vintage sends a text to your I -phone letting you know the exact time and specific door that was opened. Thank you Vintage :).  One happy customer.

    I have lived in both  Montgomery and Frederick County over the last  20+ years.  I contracted Ultra Guard Security for all four of my homes. I truly appreciate that they have always taken the time to insure that the system I selected will not only provide my family the security features we would like to have but also suited our life styles as they had changed over the years.
    The technicians, as well as the office staff, have years of experience. In fact, the technician that installed my first system over 20 years ago,(Andy) installed our most recent.  
    This system was installed in all the windows and doors on the first two levels of my home and I have  2 keypads , and  24hr monitoring. With my system I am able to receive text messaging every time the system is programed, disarmed or when the  alarm been set off.  Each of the  family member has their own ID. The system can also be programed, features changed etc. on-line.
    Again as the past, the installers arrived on time, worked steady and every room is left as if no one had been in it. After the system was installed and tested, all the features were demonstrated and any questions I had were gone over again.
    Ultra Guard provides very fair pricing, latest technology and something that few others do, customer care !

    Agent recommended products for home alarm installation and agreed to give 2 of 7 products for free, but when we signed contract we both forgot to put in the contract. Of course we did not pay attention when signed the contract we're for sure that everything was in it. On the day to install alarm we realized items missing so we call agent again and agent said oops i forgot to put in but it's okay we just send another technician out on another day to install it. Well, after installation alarm didn't work right so we have to call again to get fixed. 3 days later another technician came and also came late, however, it was fixed. After that, we tried to call agent again and again and he kept saying either he needed his manager to approve and manager was out town, or he's very busy. He also promised to upgrade our business alarm system and install new cameras and again nothing has been done nor a telephone call to say I still remember you. Yes we also found out the branch manager was on vacation for real, but wouldn't you think now a day with all the technology in the world he cannot contact the manager at all! We are very upset!

    We were first time buyers of a security system. The salesman was very thorough with us and made us comfortable with how they worked. He was able to recommend a solution to our home security issue and after making our final decision the installation tech came out and installed our system. We have not had any problems and have been satisfied for the past four months.

    Like I said, when I started with Guardian Protection everything was fine. After two years of contracted service with them, however, I wanted to change my home protection solution. I wanted to get rid of my land phone line and wanted to look into wireless services. I was getting rid of my phone line immediately, however, and since I was out of contract I called Guardian customer service to cancel my service until I found the new solution I was looking for.
    When I called the number I had for them, I was informed some change of management had happened and their number was different. This change happened without notice to me, a paying customer.
    After finally reaching their customer service, I stated I wanted to cancel my service, but I was interested in their sales department coming out to show me a wireless alarm solution. I was even offered a free upgrade to a wireless system with an added cost of 10 dollars a month and a new contract, but wanted to shop around first to see what was out there and how technology had changed. After declining, I asked the customer service rep to cancel my service but send out a sales team to my house. I was informed that my service would end at the end of the month after they billed me one more time. As I was still under contract and that included free service for my system, I asked the rep to send a repair tech out to look at one of my window sensors that was running out of battery life every two weeks. This was costing me a small fortune in batteries, and causing me headaches as low batteries cause the system to beep loudly three times every five minutes without the ability to turn off the beeps permanently. I was told a tech would be on their way out and sales would call me shortly.
    I did receive a call from sales after this, and scheduled a time for them to come out. The day they were supposed to come out, I got a call to confirm an hour before, but they never showed up. The technician I asked for never came at all. This was around Christmas and I let the entire issue slide.
    In January, I received a notice that I was overdue for payments to Guardian. Before I called them, my payments were being deducted automatically. After the call they stopped so I assumed the service was canceled. Apparently their customer service rep didn't cancel my service and was waiting for their sales to conclude business with me. I called to confirm that I wanted to cancel my service and asked the charges be reversed as the mistake wasn't mine. I got a different service agent instead try to sell me the wireless solution again. I was told they would give me the wireless solution this time for 3 dollars more a month and a 2 year contract. I was also told that if I resigned up, the window unit that was broken could be fixed for free otherwise the tech would charge me 80 dollars an hour to come out and fix it. I didn't want to resign up, I was disappointed that I never got the tech while I was supposed to be covered and the issue was being used to resell me on a contract instead. I decided I didn't want to continue business with a company that employed these tactics and my other option was supposed to be that they cancel my service, they cancel the two months they claimed I owed them for service and we all walk away. Today I'm writing this after receiving a second notice of delinquent account and a possibility of the bill going to collections.
    Stay away from this company, at the end of the day its always best to do business with people that have the customers best interests at heart, not their own. I realize there are good reviews here and for the most part their customers are happy, but you can really tell the real quality of a company by how they handle a simple request to cancel services.

    After speaking with several other companies decided to just upgrade our current system.
    We upgraded our system to use cellular notifications rather than use a land line as we had gotten rid of our land line.
    We had thought about switching systems but it didn't make sense to switch as we would have had to buy all new sensors.

    ADT is not great but not terrible. They are adequate.
