    ADVANCED AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR
We have always been satisfied with the excellent service and reasonable prices. Jim is skilled and knowledgeable and he doesnt upsell unnecessary repairs. The shop and waiting room are not fancy but thats okay because we appreciate the repair and maintenance costs being kept low.

    The Lube Center
I ended up taking it to a local repair shop. They said the problem was that I let the oil go out. I din't have it changed. Something was broken because I didn't have oil. Apparently it's a common problem with that car. Some of the electrical stuff was messing up, too. Another common problem with that car. So, I go there because its convenient, but the price is outrageous. $65 for an oil change when normally it's $25. They do a 21-point inspection, but it shouldn't cost more than $25. I wouldn't recommend people go there. I go there because it's convenient, to get it over with, but I don't recommend them. Oil costs like $5 for a quart, it's $10 for a filter. Why am I paying $65 for that? I'd go to the dealer if I wanted my car inspected. You could get a little pan and a ratchet set and you could do that yourself. $5 for a quart of oil, $10 for a filter. I guess the hard part is the hazardous disposal fee because they can't dump it in the grass. They have to dispose of it. It can be taken to the recycling center. They take hazardous material. Here, they have a take-it-free, I think once in May and again in November. Otherwise they charge you, for that, and batteries and mercury, and stuff like that. I believe in DIY. But, it's not easy. You can't do everything. Getting all the stuff done. I just don't have the time. So I look for deals, Try to find a handyman. I've called a handyman a couple of times. But there are things I don't do. I don't mess with plumbing and I don't' mess with electric. I don't plan on burning the house down and I don't plan on flooding the place. The Lube Center does excellent service. They give good information. They change the oil. They make you comfortable. They give you coffee or whatever. They clean the car. You can wait in a waiting room. They have excellent service. But, it's not cheap. And I don't want to pay $65 for it. They try to make me feel good about writing that $65 check, but they can forget about it. I don't like it.

They're communication is lagging. They did their job. I kind of felt like they were shooting themselves in the foot. For instance the first place  I would take it, if I take my car down to them and say "hey you know I'm experiencing this problem, could you take a look and see if you see anything". They would take a look and not charge me anything. It would be just complimentary, it would be like "hey we didn't find anything and they would not charge you". I took it to them they looked at it a for maybe a half hour and charged me $120 labor. I felt like they were not doing themselves any favors. It was a typical dealership mentality.

Bill runs a great shop. I bring all my cars here for oil changes or when I can't fix something myself. I could change the oil myself, but it gives me peace of mind to have Bill and his team look things over every few months. I can count on him to be honest about what needs to be fixed and to ensure his mechanics do a great job. He doesn't push unnecessary services. If they make a mistake, they own up to it and make it right. My family and I have been coming here for 20 years and am happy to find someone I can trust. Bill is also very friendly and knows his long time customers. Parts can be expensive, but Bill stands by his work and uses the correct OEM parts. So if you want piece of mind, for far cheaper than a dealer will charge you, come here!

My revitalization auto's experience was great. He was very professional, Showed up on time, and had all tools needed to perform the diagnostics and parts replacement. What better way to have someone come to you, then you going out of your way to find them. Job well Done.

    Superior Auto Service Center
The shop is excellent. The guys that work there are extremely friendly and very helpful. They always seem to go above and beyond what is required of them. Although some prices are slightly higher than larger stores, they are worth every penny. I would recommend this shop to anyone I know. They even offer a shuttle service.

    Bussard's Auto Repair
Took the car right in at the appointment time. Showed me each of the things that were wrong and not passing inspection. Gave me a thorough quote on the parts and labor needed. Schedule my return appointment and had me in and out without too much wait time.

I cannot say enought good things about the folks at Superior!  First, they are REAL mechanics.  They won't just read a computer code and tell you that you need a whole part installed if just part of that part is fixable. They actually fix the part, saving you money. They think repairs through and know what they're doing. And if something isn't broken, they tell you so!  An HONEST shop!  And they know that the bread and butter of a shop like theirs is customer service and they always go above and beyond for us.
In fact, let me tell a quick story.  I had plans to meet my husband in DC for a formal event (he was returning from a business trip) on a Friday evening. At 3 that afternoon, in windy 30 degree weather with snow, my driver's side electric window motor froze in the down position!  I called Superior and explained the situation and they managed to get me in and fix the window for me in time for me to make the event and not show up disheveled from driving with the window down.  In addition it was 5 o'clock rush hour in Frederick, the part got stuck in traffic.  They actually had one of their guys go meet the parts truck halfway to get the part there in time!
Now you probably won't get out in 30 minutes for an oil change, but I tell you what.  It is SO much nicer to trust that the person looking at your truck is not trying to scare you unnecessarily by telling you that various fluids are in ugent need of changing.
If you want a good, honest auto repair shop who believes in going the extra mile to keep their customers happy, please try Superior!

My 2002 Chrysler Sebring LX simply died while idling at a red light. It was made further awkward because I'm deaf, making it difficult to communicate or obtain assistance. I had to walk through traffic to a nearby gas station, then I asked them to call the police as I needed help getting the car out of traffic.
Soon, the police came, and they helped to push the car out of the way to the gas station. If I could leave a review for the police, I would! Once the car was out of the way, they called for a tow. The tow driver recommended Superior Auto services, whom was a competitor of theirs, and said they were honest, had good prices, definitely worth using. I was surprised that they'd recommend a competitor. The tow driver explained that they were currently filled to capacity and could not take on additional clients. The tow driver called them on my behalf to confirm they were able and willing to look at my car. They confirmed.
My car then was towed to Superior Auto. They didn't waste any time at all. A guy there named Jim Gray (assistant service manager) immediately got started on my car. He asked what happened. I explained to him that my car was in pretty bad shape, that I wanted to know if it was worth fixing. He then said he'd take a look at the car TODAY. I was surprised, as many mechanics usually wait a few days before even taking a look at a car. He was extremely friendly and courteous. He offered a shuttle home so I could wait at home while they checked out the car. There was no charge for the shuttle. Simply amazing. I of course accepted. They took me home. The shuttle driver was very friendly, and was a remarkably smooth driver; I suspect I could learn a few driving tips from him.
A few hours later, Jim sent me a text (due to my being deaf) and told me they had it up and running. They sent the shuttle to pick me up. As soon as I got there, Jim came out of the garage immediately and provided me with a detailed report of the issues my car had. It turns out it was due to a blown ignition fuse that my car failed to restart after it stalled. Jim informed me that my car was leaking transmission, oil, and coolant. Furthermore, he informed me that the leaks were major, that it had gotten on the belts, and so on. Pretty bad. Total estimated cost of repairs: $2,400.
Of course, I winced, but I wasn't surprised. I knew my car was pretty bad off. Jim told me that while he would love to do the sale, he couldn't recommend fixing the car, that the cost to fix the car exceeded the value of the car. I found this admirable-- this guy could be milking me for all I was worth, and here was he telling me it wasn't worth pouring money into.
The total cost for diagnosis, inspection, and replacement of the fuse was $104. They told me to not worry about the bill, and bid me a good day. I walked out of the garage having not paid a single cent in complete amazement. This was the first time in my life I met a honest, ethical mechanic who actually gave a d***.
I plan on using Superior Auto permanently. They won a loyal customer out of me. I plan on recommending them to everyone I know. In fact, they come with my highest recommendations. If they ever in the future tell me something is wrong and that it's pricey but worth fixing, I'm trusting them. They definitely have earned my trust today.
I've already said this, but once again, they come with my highest recommendations. If you're in need for auto repairs, they're the people to go to! You actually can trust them. That's rare nowadays.
