    Aquaguard Waterproofing
Very well. They walked the exterior and interior to make the determination that the foundation is sound and that the cracks are natural settling. Cracks on the foundation exposed walls were deemed non concerns.

Job was done as scheduled with additional items repaired as they appeared while the work was being done. Found owner Gary Howard Sr to be very professional and his team led by his son Gary Jr. were efficient and thorough. I had hired them a few years ago for a roof repair I needed and the excellent job they did then prompted me to call them with the above laundry list of home repairs that needed done. Would certainly recommend and hire them again for future needs.

Stop Leak Foundation Restoration Specialists Inc
EXCELLENT. The people at Stop Leak (esp Rich, Mike, and Ann and others) were exceptionally pleasant to work with - knowing this was an emergency for me, they all pitched in and got the work done quite promptly. The job done - dig out the area around the leak, patch a crack in the wall below ground level, apply compound and re-load the soil and mulch around the problem. They were all quite professional and friendly and didn't waste a minute fixing the problem. Ann was quite helpful and timely in the scheduling and administrative tasks. Very pleasant to work with. They are a great team. My wife and I are very appreciative. Thanks again TEAM!

Fantastic. Estimator explained planned procedure thoroughly, coordinated day and time, and efforts went like clockwork. Workers showed up on time, with the right equipment, a double crew, and got the work done in a bit over half a day. Cleaned up everything.

I contacted them on 10/2. I spoke to Adrian and we talked about my problem. He agreed to come out on 10/5. He arrived on time and looked at my problems. Instead of a hard sell, he suggested that I wait and see if my emergency repair held up. If it didn't then call him back and he could install a drain system on only that part of the wall that leaked. I really appreciated his honesty.

    Armored Basement Waterproofing
Jay called me back within the hour after leaving a message requesting a quote. Was able to meet with me the next day and was quickly able to fully assess the issues, provide a solution and a fair, reasonable quote. He told me he would be able to get it done within the next 2 weeks (which was fine with me), but he got a crew out there just a couple days later and did all the work on Saturday and Sunday.
They arrived punctually both days. Derrick and his crewed very friendly and polite and worked hard, fast, and well together. Derrick checked often with me while they were working to see if I had any questions and explained everything they were doing. They did all the required demo work to be able to access all the areas they needed to get to, including emptying a disgusting, moldy "bomb shelter" type of room under the front porch (I just purchased the property). It was a big job and I am shocked they were able to complete it all in just 2 days.
An example of the amazing service: They originally trenched around an old disconnected heating oil tank, as he had discussed and agreed on. After speaking with a couple of the crew, I reconsidered and decided to remove the tank immediately. I hired another guy to take it away (free metal removal), but a couple of the guys jumped in to assist us with cutting it and carrying it out of the basement. This was way outside of their scope of work, but very much appreciated. They then went back and trenched against the wall where the tank had been removed from to be able to install the drain system around the perimeter, and then reconcreated the entire area. Also, I called Jay after they started working as asked how much to add an additional 80 feet or so of waterproofing liner beyond where we originally agreed. They did not charge me anything additional for all of these extra items. They really went above and beyond and it was very appearant that their main goal really was to make sure I was happy with the job they did.
I renovate houses so I know I will need their services again at some point. I would never even consider using anyone else for any waterproofing needs. Thanks Jay!2 Wagner Way

They dug a 4 to 5 inch trench with an electric jack hammer, put gravel in the trench along with a drain pipe and cemented the trench.  While they cleaned up most of the mess they created a lot of dust throughout my basement.  They should have set up a plastic curtain.

    BASEMENT UNLIMITED
I called Cliff Cartwright at Basements Unlimited after doing a good deal of research on basement waterproofing companies  I was looking for a company that would send out a for real technical expert to properly assess my problem instead of a salesperson who's primary motivation is SELLING and UPSELLING as much as possible.  Cliff is the owner/operator of Basements Unlimited with the technical credentials I was looking for. He uses dedicated crews instead of temps or sub-contractors which I also like.  That tells me he's concerned about quality control and customer satisfaction.  Cliff came out the next day and after moving a bookcase and other items against the wall nearest the water leak, we discovered mold in the drywall, carpet and the bookcase. Our basement is finished drywall and my concern was how much drywall we are going to lose.  Cliff assured me he would take only the minimum needed to do the work. After completing his assessment, he then spent plenty of time explaining what failed and the proposed fix in layman?s terms.  After deciding to go with Basements Unlimited, Cliff met my expectations on a competitive price and we scheduled the work for later that week. Cliff estimated this to be a 3 day job.  The crew arrived on time on day 1.  His 3 man crew worked nonstop and by the end of the first day had the mold damaged drywall cut and removed, moldy carpet removed, the old drain tile system removed and the trench dug out all the way to the sump. They also moved our personal effects to a safe area.  Disinfectant was applied to kill the mold and those items not salvageable were tossed out.  To protect our upstairs and other areas of the basement, they closed off their work area with plastic sheeting.  I couldn't believe those guys got all than done in one day.  Day 2 they arrived on time and had completed the job by the end of the day way ahead of schedule.  They did a fantastic job on clean up and hauled away all debris and non-salvageable material leaving the basement and back yard nice and clean. The work included Schedule 60 PVC, a new containment for the sump and a high quality Zoeller pump.  He also rerouted my discharge line outside.  It had been above ground (freezing issues in the winter) and dug a trench in the yard routing it down the hill.  In order to dig the exterior trench for the discharge line, they had to remove some pavers from the walkway off my deck. They removed and replaced them as they were without issue.  I can't say enough about Cliff Cartwright and his crew.  Since the "proof is in the pudding" as they say, I plan to do a follow up review in the spring after his system has been put to the test.  Check out his video on You Tube.

    All Aspects Waterproofing
After searching and reviewing a number of companies that deal with basement water problems I decided to call All Aspects Waterproofing because of their positive reviews and high rating on Angie's List.  Called, explained the problem and made the appointment over the phone.  Technician, Zeke, arrived within the time promised and we spent a few minutes talking about the problem as he began his inspection.  He was pleasant, professional and prepared.  In short order, he concluded that the area I was concerned with was not a problem.  He then went on to explain why this was so, and continued to inspect the rest of the basement.  He evaluated the perimeter of the basement and showed me several areas that merited some attention.  He examined cracks in the block wall and inspected the sump pump well.  He also inspected the outside so he could see where the pump discharged, and how the gutter and downspouts were handling the run off.  Here he made some suggestions on how to better route the drain system to avoid affecting a block retaining wall.  Throughout the entire process, which took about an hour, he patiently answered my questions.  He suggested numerous things that I, the homeowner, could do to help prevent water intrusion.  I think he decided pretty quickly that there was nothing for him to fix, and spent the majority of the time showing me what to look for and how to improve what I already had.  Before he left, he asked if I had any other questions and left me a business card.  Although I didn't contract with the company, I was certainly impressed with their representative and I would be inclined to call and use them in the future.

    Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing
It was a terrible experience. The only good thing I can say is that the salesperson was very informative and told us a lot about the nature of wet basements and ways to correct the problem. The rest was torture that my husband related to suffering through a time-share presentation. The salesperson was 30 mins. late, and he took over 2 1/2 HOURS to do the presentation, much of which was trying over and over to convince us that we should spend over $14,000. When we said no, suddenly there was a special pricing because they were doing a large industrial project in the area with down time where they could use their workers to do residential jobs just like ours. We said no again. He wouldn't stop. My husband, my son, and myself all said we needed to get back to work (we are remodeling a recently-purchased house before moving in), and he STILL kept going! We had to be rude to end the ''visit.'' BEWARE! Don't get caught up in spending lots of money for what you probably don't need.
