    Air Temp Solutions
Excellent response. Pipe disconnect found immediately. Just needed gluing. The technician quickly explained and stated cost would be $89.00. I was SO relieved and happy. This company (unlike last one used which Angie's List rated as #1) included dispatch fee in price since repair was done during 1st visit. No hidden costs. No lies @ discounts.

    H & B Plumbing Heating Inc
Repair was fine. I was very unhappy with the price, asked about a senior discount and was told twice it was already taken out. Called office next morning to get itemized bill. I was flat out refused any itemization. Finally got info to break down & dispatch fee was separate as was diagnostic fee. No senior discount applied.

The service was friendly and professional, but after doing some research on the price I think I taken advantage of because I was a woman who didn't know any better. Upon research this job should not have cost even over $200 next time I will definitely do some research before I say yes to the price.

    Boulden Brothers Heating & Air
Boulden has "gotten out of the water conditioner business," at least in the Cecil County, MD area. They did not let their long term customers know. We now have no choice but to immediately replace the system since no one else near by can service the system either. So, this review is a little difficult to write since it involves no service (which is the problem), and hence no money paid. Note: Boulden typically had good employees who did good work.

Sobieski Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning
Technician was on time and professional - our issue is with the company's approach and billing structure. The tech was onsite for a few hours to detect what was causing the blocked outdoor drain. He was unable to determine what was happening and recommended that they return with a camera to investigate further. The other option was to crack up our concrete and dig (without really knowing where the problem was). While on site he did replace a leaking pressure relief valve and took a quick look at a faucet we were having trouble with, so I'd say the tech intended to be helpful. However, after $600+ for that visit (including the $100 service call fee) we had no answers and no solution. The cost to return with a camera was $400. So, after $1,000 maybe we would know what the problem was? Of course, the repair would have been more. Today we had Roto-Rooter on site and they were able to flush the drain at half the price.

    Horizon Services
Was told ahead of time number of hours probably needed to complete job. Turned out that I had paid for more than double actual working hours; especially because of learner/assistant standing around and watching and occasionally fetching something from the truck. Ceiling panels were not replaced properly. Left over scraps not removed. We requested the copper pipes that were replaced not to be taken away and they were. I wrote a letter of complaint and asked for a partial refund. Negative response because I had postponed writing the letter for a couple of months until I had recovered from bladder cancer treatments. I realize now that you charge far more than "regular" competent plumbers because you spend a lot on t.v. and other advertising.

    Jones Septic Service
Arrived on time. It had been about 15 years since I had the tank pumped (won't do that again!) and it was a long uphill run for the pump-out. These factors combined to make this one of his hardest jobs ever. He didn't fuss at me, just stated the facts about amount of solids build up and difficulty getting it clean. After the first back-flush, the pumping became even more difficult because the mix gets even thicker. Wanting to do a thorough job, he was going to do another back flush and I suggested he stop so we didn't chance a third pump back becoming undoable. We agreed I would call him back next year, when he will be able to flush better. Even though it was my fault the job was so difficult (not pumping for so long and the site conditions), he left apologizing he couldn't get it cleaner. He did not ask for extra payment for the difficulties, but I happily paid him more for his efforts. An honest, nice businessman that I will certainly use again in the future.

    Jones Well Drilling
Price seemed awfully high although I did not get any other quotes. They were prompt and Mickey was great. However, nowhere in the line item estimate did they include a separate charge for dumping hydraulic oil on my driveway and then making a lame attempt at cleaning it up. I contacted Dave who acted as if they did all they could do and it was no big deal. What they did was try to scrub the area with Joy household detergent. Sorry, but it did not remove the stain. I have spent $50 on materials and about 4 hours labor trying to clean it, but will probably have to pay $500 to hide it with a driveway seal in the spring. Dave acted as if he could have cared less. Is this how you treat a paying customer?

    John -- The House Doctor
John came out and looked at my bathroom, he said that he could fix it and that he would email me with an estimate within the week. It's been over a month ago and I haven't heard anything from him! What a disappointment!

    ServiceMark Heating Cooling & Plumbing
Of the 3 companies that gave us estimates, ServiceMark's was right in the middle. But more importantly, their salesperson took the time to really explain what it was he was trying to sell us. He gave us 3 differently priced options. The day of the install went smoothly, the technicians worked efficiently, and everything was finished and cleaned up in about 6 hours. After they left, there was an issue with the aerator in our kitchen sink (clogged from when they were replacing the water heater). Quick call to ServiceMark and they had a tech come back in about an hour, on a Friday afternoon. Very pleased.
