Door Installation reviews in Edgewater

I first used Power to replace the gutters on my house in 2016; a year later, they replaced a sliding glass door, and last month they replaced 15 windows and a door. The Power reps and installers were all very professional, punctual, and did an excellent job. I might have paid slightly more than I would have had I known there were more discounts available had I continued to ask for them with the salesman, but overall I was very happy with all three jobs and the prices were okay. Because those three projects went well, I have just contracted with Power to have my house completely re-sided. I believe I got a very good price this time, and I fully expect the work to go as smoothly as the first three projects (if not, I will revise this review). I like the lifetime warranty on all their products and work, and their representatives are all very personable. I highly recommend Power Home Remodeling.

I was frustrated and disappointed with original contractor and was in need of someone to not only finish the project, but repair some of the work already done. Archangel was just as the name suggests in my dire need. The best part is that I could talk to the workers about the project, I could question the differing situations, and actually have my input heard.

Excellent! Super professional gentleman who was trustworthy and sharp; wordly. He is overqualified!!!More like a hobby for him that he loves. Takes pride in. Really glad we stumbled upon him. I will use him for anything i need done.

Disappointing. After seeing lots of great reviews this seemed like a company to call for an estimate, which I did. Gentleman on the phone was very friendly until it became apparent their policy was one of those "both homeowners must be present" type of deals, and I was only calling for an ESTIMATE. When I explained I am the decision-maker and wouldn't be signing anything on the day of estimate, suddenly Mr. Friendly became not-so-nice, and it was clear moving forward would be a hassle. His end to the call was "good luck" followed by a hang-up, which borders on offensive. As the individual who handles EVERY ONE of our home repairs and improvements, I am certain this is not the type of business I'd want to deal with.

very punctual, workmen were great. Price was a bit above some big corporate competitors, but the workmanship more than made up for it. All competitors just sent out a salesman, Chesapeake sent out an actual installer that could correctly diagnose some of our house's flaws/unique attributes.

He does great work! He put mine in, he did everything, trim work and everything for like $300. He even got rid of the old doors. Every company that I had called, they wanted anywhere between $1,000 & $3,000.

I would give him 110%, ?A?s? across the board! This guy, I mean he is polite, his work is impeccable. I have never seen anybody take such pride in what they do. He said, ?if you?re not satisfied, tell me and I will keep going or I?ll give you your money back!?

Actually, in the Spring, when the weather starts to warm up again, because we live on the Chesapeake Bay, he is going to repair some posts on our second floor deck.

Went very well.  The door itself was installed professionally with no problem.  The screen door took a little longer but the work did not require me to be at home.  The manufacturer  shipped an incorrect item or a part was missing( I don't remember exactly)   but the error was recognized  by the installer and the correct part was ordered.   Finishing the  screen door  took two extra trips. They contacted me as soon as they received the needed parts and scheduled a time to finish the job. I am very pleased with the door.

I wasn't too thrilled with this service in general, but you get what you pay for. I had hoped that they would arrive and spend an hour tweaking out my garage door so that it would make less noise and function a bit better. The house is new, less than 6 years old, and the garage door was a bit noisy. My hope was to silence it.
Well, they arrived on time and spent 5 minutes looking at the door and 5 minutes asking me if i wanted a quote on a new system, rails, etc. I said no, that i wanted to tune the current door up and not replace anything. The tech was not pushy at all, was in fact very nice, so i went inside to wait while they did the work. Not 10 minutes later they were done. They simply tightened a few bolts and that was it.
Not much changed, door still made lots of noise. I am convinced now that either the door has become progressively worse or the work that was done didnt really fix much. Its been several months and it make more noise than ever.

We bought the 2 painters for a day deal, which we thought was a very good value for 16 hours of painting labor.  Noonan contacted us and we set up a time for them to stop by to see if they could complete the work.  The painter contacted us a couple days ahead of time to confirm the appointment for a Saturday at 10 am.  Saturday comes, no show.  Around 12pm and again at 1 pm we attempted to contact the painter but there was no answer.  We then contacted the company later that day to inform them that the painter never showed (we left a voicemail).  The company contacted us 4 days later to ask us what happened and we explained that the painter never showed.  Long story short, Noonan apparently had the painter show up to the billing address and once he knocked on the door and did not get an answer, he left.  That somewhat concerned me because what if I was in the bathroom or on the third floor or just did not hear the door?  I also let them know I made two attempts to contact the painter but he never picked up his phone and asked them why he never called my phone if he did not get an answer at the door (past contact from the painter confirmed he had the number).  Noonan reassured me the painter "wasn't a flake" and they would find out what happened and get back to me.  Its been about a month and a half and Noonan has never called back.  Needless to say, I had to go through Angie's to get a credit and apply it to something else.  Due to the communication issues I can't recommend this company at all.

I purchased the deal for contractor for the week which is really about 35 hours of contracting labor.  Overall, the experience went well.  Myriad did a lot of work between two properties; one of which is a rental and the other a newly purchased home.  They did the below for me:

    Hung two ceiling fans

Replaced trim around exterior of sliding glass door (installer did use non paintable caulk which caused some issues trying to paint it)

Replaced trim around garage access door

    Planted a 4 foot tree

    Replaced gate hardware and rehung

    Sealed fence and deck

Installed ceiling mounted storage for garage (owner did cut himself pretty badly in the process and we had to call an ambulance)

    Cleaned gutters

Painted some of the trim in our dinning room

Overall, Myriad was very punctual and professional through all of the work.  Some of the work probably could have a little more attention as noted above.  If I had one gripe I would say they shorted me about 3 hours of work as one of the first days they were supposed to plant the tree and seal the fence/deck.  Unfortunately it had unexpectedly rain that morning allowing him to only plant the tree and he stated the rest of the time would be credited; however, the worker ended up leaving the company between that appointment and the next one and that was never passed along.  Probably more my fault for not being a stickler in terms of the overall amount of hours remaining.  Either way, I would still recommend Myriad as they did good work at a good price and I would consider them a trustworthy company.
