    A-BB is the only cable service in this area and it shows. We needed to contact A-BB twice. First time, we waited on hold 1.5 hours for customer service. Meanwhile, we started an online chat. We waited 20 min for it and then hung up on the phone. The chat session got us what we needed. The second time, we called to register the new modem (paid $80 for it). We were on hold 45+ minutes. Meanwhile, we started another chat and waited 35 min for a response. A person actually came on the phone while we were finishing the registration and closing the chat. The people were knowledgable, professional and solved the "problems". Meanwhile, my neighbors paid $1056 to rent a modem for 11 years. Yes, caveat emptor, but I think A-BB should have taken more initiative to provide customer service. My neighbors will ask for some kind of credit when they return the rented, obsolete modem, but I don't think they will get it.

    The phone and internet cost $120 per month, and then I go on vacation and it goes down to $15 a month. I have had my service interrupted twice this year. They sent me a form letter in Maryland, saying that my service will be turned on on such and such a date, and I got down here after that date, and my service was not turned on. That was just the internet. The TV and phone were working. The TV always works because it is on the building. The phone was working and I don't know why because it is with the internet. I called them over the phone, and they sent me a new signal.

    The service provided was very unsatisfactory; therefore in February 2015 I called 1-888-360-4335 to request the cancellation of this contract.  Ever since I have been calling the same number every month when I receive my credit card bill and the monthly billing still continued to appear.  Last month early June I was told that the contract has been cancelled but still the billing appeared again in June and July.  I was told today that they called me to confirm that I wanted the contract cancelled but never answered my phone.  My phones, both home and cell have the capacity of receiving a message, something I have never seen.  Today's conversation was especially exasperating since after inquiring for the cancellation I was told that it had been cancelled.  Since when does one need a return call in order to confirm ones request for cancellation?  In other experiences, one get a confirmation number and that settles it.


    I certainly cannot recommend their services for both reasons of lack of competence and certainly lack of people skills.  I was refused refund for the billings since my first call requesting cancellation.

    My computer was not completely debugged.  He did do some debugging, but not completely.  It was still acting up.  I, myself ran some debugging programs and got it back to where it needed to be.  When I texted the owner the problems I was still experiencing he was rude and obnoxious.  I have never been treated like this by a business owner.  He did refund my money for which I am grateful, but I don't want anyone to have to go through the kind of treatment (verbal abuse) I went through.

    Excellent service but a bit pricy. We get the full bundle (telephone/CATV/Internet). All work very well. 30 mbps internet speed is fantastic! TV service is great - no drops or delays. TiVo boxes (we have one for each TV) is great, although it could use more memory to store all those HDTV shows.

    We used to have trouble with the Grasonville head-end in dropping channels, but Atlantic Broadband has listened and upgraded the Grasonville facility, so that no longer happens. The same with pixellation - it used to happen, but no longer. I wish they would install a back-up generator in Grasonville though, because service is down when the power goes out in Grasonville.

    Customer service is good - with Premier service we can always get someone on the line instantly. the techs show up when they say they will. I only have to call infrequently. Generally it is for a line down due to a tree down or a lightning strike. They always repair it quickly and make a follow-up call to let me know service is back online.

    We like our Atlantic Broadband service. Expensive, but I guess you have to pay that much for reliable service.

    John was excellent. He knew the right questions to ask. We are marginally proficient in technology and he talked us through our needs to the point where he could solve our problems. He was able to commujnicate with us whereas in the past other providers were competent but could not explain how they solved issues and how we could avoid issues in the future.

    He was very good; we liked him and we have gone back to him a couple of times. He seems very honest and personable; he will take the time to talk to you and explain what he is doing but I think the pricing on my computer work was a little high. My husband had a problem with his after the guy left so he took it back in to him and they fixed it at no charge. I will use him again in the future.
