I found Dr. Naiman to be unusually personable and interested in my symptoms, history, goals and expectations.  He stood out as willing to spend as much time as necessary to understand and diagnose my problem and my concerns.  After explaining the history of my chronic knee problem, he asked me if I had time for an MRI, and was able to work me in to he MRI center don the hall that day.  I brought back the images and he examined them on the spot to confirm my worst fears were unfounded.  When the film images of the MRI were not quite clear enough to resolve a particular concern he went down the hall to speak directly with the radiologist who had reviewed my imagery, catching him in the parking lot as he was leaving for the day, to have a thorough conversation bout his concerns and the interpretation.   Having seen nearly 12 orthopedists over the years and around the country for my knee this was by far the most reassuring and thorough exam and diagnosis for treatment I have received.

On a follow up visit, I happened to mention the diagnosis of my back pain 9as compression fracture) and the subsequent scan diagnosing osteopenia.  Though it wasn't the reason I was there, Dr. namian asked me if I had the imagery - which was on my laptop! - and he took the time to review the images telling me this was NOT a compression fracture.  he also reviewed the Dexascan, AND the center doing the scan for it's calibration and accuracy.  The bone density values were low enough that he was quite alarmed (in contrast to my personal care physician who was happy to suggest a calcium supplement.  Dr. Namiman impressed on me the seriousness of the risk for a male my age, and, more importantly how anomalous these readings were for a male my age.  He felt strongly this requred and explanatin (not just over the counter supplements) and the referral to the Hopkins osteoporosis clinic confirmed this.

Working from a modest office, I found Dr. Naiman to be an exceptional practitioner with uncommon concern and insight.  I recommend him without hesitation.

I am fairly new to the area and needed a new orthopedic doctor for my shoulder. Found him in my health care provider's list and chose him because he's five minutes from my home. Went in because I fell on the ice and heard two 'popping' sounds in my shoulder, and felt excruciating pain. I went in at 8 a.m. and they had an immediate opening, which was a Godsend. The problem was that he was so consumed with discussing the previous issues with my shoulder that he didn't listen to my current complaints of pain or what happened to me and then told me that because I was injured that morning he couldn't help me. He shot my shoulder up with cortisone for my OLD injury and sent me on my way. While I was trying to redress my phone rang and I answered it to tell my husband that I was finishing up. Dr. Naiman walked in as I was hanging up and said, "Get off the phone. Didn't you see the sign in the hall?" Yes, I did see the sign in the hall (if you need to use the cell phone, please step out in the lobby) but 1) I was alone and trying to get dressed, 2) no matter what the circumstance, you don't speak to your patients - or anyone - that rudely. Dr. Naiman is arrogant and has HORRIBLE bedside manner. So much so that I canceled my follow up appointment with him and rescheduled with a doctor 30 mins from my home. I will NEVER go back to him.
