    DOGWOOD ACRES PET RETREAT
My wife and I tried hard to like this place because it is very conveniently located for us ... but we finally gave up. Here are a few good reasons to ditch Dogwood Acres and find somewhere else: 1. Their pricing structure is based on depriving your pet of basics like play time unless you book a higher-cost visit. 2. They'll rip you off on the back end. On our last two visits, we were charged a full additional night's boarding because he stayed a few hours longer than 24 hours. I understand charging extra, but double is ridiculous - especially when it is a minimum of $55 per night. 2. Oh, and picking up your dog within exactly 24 hours is no easy chore ... this place is only open when it is least convenient. Want to drop off before work? Sorry, they don't open until 8am. Want to swing by during lunch? Sorry, closed mid-day. Want to pick up after work? Nope - closed after 6pm. Weekends are even more restricted. 3. Don't be fooled by the photos of fancy "guest rooms." The kennels are basic, and the dogs have to use the restroom on a concrete slab. Our dog seems to hold it in until play time (which is limited) or until we pick him up. He always makes a hurried beeline to the nearest patch of grass and pees like he's been holding it all day. 4. You can get your dog bathed for an extra small fortune. But if you stay enough nights, they include a bath for free. Except when the bath is free, they forget to do it and blame "miscommunication." Even if you asked multiple times. I strongly recommend finding another option if you can.

    SOUTH ARUNDEL VETERINARY HOSPITAL
Vet showed up late for scheduled home visit to put down our 12 year dog. Was supposed to be here at 6, no show, we called at 6:15 and were told the 5:40 appt. had run over. How do you schedule an appt. at 5:40 and then expect to meet appt at home at 6 pm?? Manager Kimberly was rude, defensive, and uncompassionate that we were upset. Will never go there again.

    BEECHNUT KENNELS
My dogs are always happy and pulling to go inside when I drop them off here. They can hear the other dogs when we arrive. Not so much at other kennels. They pull to avoid being taken back. Also, unlike other kennels, no up charges for Group play, ball throwing or other extra fun and attention. Its all included, with tips appreciated, but not expected.

    HAPPY TAILS PET RESORT
The facilities and service are good. This place is my backup when the kennel we usually use is full. We prefer that one because it is very close to our house and our dog feels comfortable there as hes been there many times. Ive considered/visited a number of other area kennels. Ive talked with Happy Tails customers at my vets office and all gave positive reviews.

    Dirty Paws Dog Spa
They did the basic bath, trimming, nails and whatever.  She's going again Thursday.  Definitely an A for quality.  I will definitely use them again.  They treat the pet as if it were her pet.  They treat the pet wonderfully.  It's hard for her to go into a small kennel so he puts her in a huge kennel.  It's extremely clean.  Very neat.  Everything is organized.  It's like walking into a regular store.

    Best Buddy Dog Trainer, LLC
Jeff and I set up skype sessions due to distance. I am beyond ecstatic after only our first session! It was better than I could have ever imagined! If you are wanting to train with Jeff, but questions the Skype sessions, STOP and give him a call now! He is clear, concise, kind, patient, encouraging and so knowledgeable. I can not say enough about our session, but he gave me renewed hope that I didn't have to just succumb to my dog being a derelict. No one wants an ill behaved dog and now I believe mine doesn't have to be. In so many ways I'm glad we were on Skype versus in person because I was the one that had to do the work to train my dog. That's a good feeling too. Worth every penny! Thank you Jeff!

    DOGWOOD ACRES PET RETREAT
Very nice facility nestled in the woods. The staff was attentive and courteous. There was a lot off them too.   The prices are higher end, but so is the facility.  The cost for a bath was in line with mostly every where else.

They em were super accommodating for my last minute booking.

    GREAT !
Betty greeted me and directed me to the cricket purchase station !
Samantha expedited my purchase and offered addt'l assistance, she escorted me to the Doggie Treat section and suggested that I purchase the best products for my extended family members, she also provided me with three (discount coupons) which reduce my large revenue experience.
The store was neat, tidy and well stocked with an outstanding selection of QUALITY products.
Both Betty and Samantha pursued and provided 100% Customer Satisfaction !
The one area that did not meet the other high standards in personnel, products and selection was simply and predictably the Men's Restroom was neat and clean, but the TRASH can was over flowing and it was approx. 15:00 hrs on 28jul15-TU.

Quaid, my 100 lb. grand child of German origins, he is a German Sheppard has responded very effectively to the original surgery,
BUT a very bad decision was made to involve a local vendor to expedite recovery, using a aquatic treadmill.
The event should have been (4) four 10 minute periods of concentrated efforts, with break every ten minutes, BUT the vendor
who I am pursuing via legal channels made the event NON-STOP !
Quaid, has suffered major complications now to his hind legs !  Now requiring excessive therapy to minimize his situation and manage his rehab !
Fingers, Toes and prayers to God & Buddha are also being applied !
The bright side of this UNACCEPTABLE gross negligence, it is NOW managed by Kathy, a Professional Therapist
who is PROMPT, PLEASANT & PROFESSIONAL !
We are convinced that Vet Tech KATHY with her expertise dedication and TLC, (Tender Loving Concerns) will allow the work and Surgery of a Great Dr. Lotsikas and his Team Mebers Kara, Kristen & Shakern to make our 'dream come true' !
Kathy WILL be able to restore Mr. Quaid to FULL FUNCTIONALITY !
