  • AP Matthews reviewed the system I had and made some recommendations for the new heat pump (Trane). They were on time, removed the old unit and rebuilt some of the duct work the installation was very organized and the attention to detail was outstanding. Additionally, they handled the warranty paper work and the power company rebate. I'm very satisfied with the work they performed. On the other hand my long term previous company (well rated on Angie's List) wanted 3k more for the same equipment and didn't try to match the offer. Pay's to get quotes. APM should be on top of everyone's list.

  • While I was extremely happy with my existing local HVAC company, I made the difficult decision to trust my gut and go with Grove. The Salesperson, Garrett, knew his material. He understood exactly what I wanted to do with the new unit and adding additional zones. He spent the time to explain the pros and cons of each unit and how the design and technology worked with the new features and designs. He even helped explain and clarify issues with other quotes I already had received. I was leaning towards a Carrier unit with another company, but after meeting with Garrett he gained my confidence. I decided to go with the Trane Heatpump unit for my upstairs replacement. I also had them re-configure the upstairs ducting into two zones. Garrett worked to beat the best quote I had. The Grove installation team was top-notch (very professional and hard working). Not once did I see them sitting or standing around. They worked non-stop from the time they arrived on site to the time they left. When the installation was completed, they cleaned, swept, and vacuumed the areas they were working. After the installation, I received two follow-up calls to check on how the unit was working and whether I had any questions. The zone installation and new unit has made a significant improvement to my upstairs rooms. Completely satisfied and would definitely recommend Grove to anyone needing a HVAC contractor.

  • Matt initially came out and diagnosed we were out of propane. Some self-investigation revealed we had about 150 gallons of propane available. About a week later Matt came back out and found that the gas regulator wasn't turned on. Once he turned on the regulator, the furnace (a hybrid heat pump/propane setup) came on as it's supposed to. Thanks to the A.P. Mathews crew for helping heat our house! I would definitely hire them again for any future HVAC issues.

  • First, it is extremely rare that I have worked with a company of any type that truly goes above and beyond and puts their customer's needs above their bottom line. They have unsurpassed customer service and their technician and office staff are knowledgeable, prompt, and very responsive! Over several weeks of problems and repairs, Bay Breeze could have "nickeled and dimed" us hundreds of dollars, as many HVAC repair companies would have, but they did not. They could have charged us for the cost of parts without fighting with the manufacturer over the warranty, but they did not. The extra effort and caring attitude saved us THOUSANDS of dollars and earned Bay Breeze a customer for LIFE! See below for details! Bay Breeze diagnosed a problem in our system and informed us that the original installer of the system had not bothered to register the unit with the manufacturer so it was not under warranty. Rather than stopping there and charging me for the part, Bay Breeze had me find proof of installation so they could successfully negotiate with the manufacturer to get them to cover the cost of the parts (saving us $3,000.00). While this was being worked out, the temperature soared and it was 93 degrees in our home. They came out and recharged the system so that we could live comfortably until our system could be repaired. They did this on short notice on a Saturday and did not charge me for the visit. During that visit I asked them to check the downstairs system (also flagging) which had the exact same problem. They diagnosed this problem and recharged the system and again, did not charge us for the visit or refrigerant to temporarily fix the downstairs system. They fixed the downstairs system as soon as they could get the part and didn't bill us for that repair until the following month so we could spread out the cost for the repairs. I have used other HVAC repair companies over the years for various problems with mixed results. I will never call anyone else ever again!

  • Top Notch!  From the personalized sales experience with Terry Bair all the way down to the fantastic technicians (Shane and Tyler) that did the installation.  Having to replace my entire system I went out to several contractors for pricing and options.  Without a doubt Terry Bair provided the best value, equipment and options of all the competition.  Being new to GeoThermal, Terry explained all of my options available, his recommendations (which were not an up-sale to a more expensive product but rather the "right" equipment for my needs).  After meeting with four (4) different contractors, there was no question in my mind; BAIR Necessities was the right choice along with the Waterfurnace Equipment.

    The great experience didn't stop with the sale; I was even more than pleased with the excellent technicians that did the installation.  Shane was prompt, delivered on the promised schedule, and exceeded my expectations when it came to the installation.  His workmanship was beyond professional and he took the time to explain the process throughout this major installation making sure I understood how the equipment worked and how it was being installed.  On the final day of installation, Shane was joined by Tyler; yet another pleasurable and professional technician.  Tyler assisted with the final startup of the system and took the extra time to walk me through some of the more advanced features of the system.  Upon departure both Shane and Tyler told me to call with any questions providing me with their mobile numbers.

    It's not often that my expectations are exceeded.  Terry Bair sold me a new GeoThermal System, and Shane/Tyler delivered everything and more than what was promised the day I signed my contract.  BAIR Necessities, hands down is TOP NOTCH.

  • We've been happy with them. They are fine. We have used them for a number of years. We've really had no problems. They are fine to deal with. We've switched to other company because we've consolidated and we've had propane needs as well as oil needs. I have nothing bad to say about them. They've been very good. If I didn't need the propane and oil, I would probably use them.

  • The guy showed up on time. He was professional and a nice guy. I had a list of things for him to do and thought it would take all day. The dude was done at 10:30am and I walked around the house looking for other stuff to give him. But he knocked that all out in no time as well. He even helped me lift a cabinet (totally non-electrically related). There were some fees associated with the supplies they required to do the work, but they didn't charge me for the stuff because they were done earlier than anticipated. I paid $300 for the whole day and didn't even mind that he was out of there by Noon. Highly recommend.

  • It went well.  They were thorough and identified several issues that were corrected on the spot with the service.  They also identified other potential issues that needed further work.  However, I didn't feel that they were "looking" to find problems, but rather were very thorough in their process.

  • It went fine. We have a contract with them. They cared all of our heating and air conditioning and they were well servicing it. They came out last fall but they are coming in June for the check up. The cost is around $200 a month. They are very professional and well mannered. They put plastic on their feet when they come in. They tell you what they are doing or what needs to be done to the unit. They vacuum out the air conditioner to make sure there is nothing in there to prevent it from working properly. We found out about them through the people that we bought the house from years then. We tried them and we’re very happy with them. We are stuck with them since.
