Obgyn Care reviews in Darnestown

I have found all the doctors, NPs. and PAs to be very good. I prefer to see Nidhi (PA) for my annual checkup). She has better availability than some of the doctors and is very personable. I rotated through most of the doctors for my prenatal care and ended up with Dr. Engel on the day of delivery and for post-natal check ups. I would recommend the practice. Only complaint is that sometimes afternoon appointments are running a bit behind schedule. I've never had any issue with morning appointments though,

The doctors are wonderful and take their time with their patients, however, this can cause really long wait times. My only concern with the practice is an experience I had with the genetic counselor who seemed to go outside of her professional boundaries in several instances. For this reason, I decided to leave the practice.

Dr. Klein definitely conducts a comprehensive well woman evaluation that goes beyond an annual gynecologic check-up.  She covers any updated information about womens' health and checks on currency of all age appropriate screenings.  I feel I have her full attention and concern and do not feel rushed.  Dr. Klein's thorough exam almost 18 years ago led to discovery of my serious gynecologic cancer.  I feel like I owe my life to her and her professional skills.

I was pretty pleased with their reviews which is why I chose them. My appointment was on time and I did not have to wait long. Their staff was really pleasant and helped me with the paper work. The doctors were also really nice and I was pleased with the group.

My visits have been perfect. Each time the staff has greeted me and treated me kindly. During my first visit I think Dr. Harrington spent two hours with me and reviews my medical records. At that point she ordered an MRI and started discussing my case with colleagues. I am still in the process of being diagnoised, but without Dr. Harrington's help I think I would give up.

I was taken back to the exam room within about three minutes of my appointment time. Dr. Harrington, who I have been seeing for years, promptly came in and did the exam. She is very professional, yet personable, and she takes the time to answer all my questions. I am very pleased with the care I have gotten from Dr. Harrington.

I took appointment same week i called, and i saw her on the scheduled time, there was no waiting time.
Dr. Harrington is so Modest, and patient. She was so professional and friendly, excellent bedside manners. she answered all my questions and explained different birth control options and addressed all my concerns. She gave me recommendations and reference for different specialists that i wanted to consult in other areas. She is a family doctor as well, i'll always go there for consultations and for reference to other doctors.

I was early for the appointment because traffic wasn't as bad as I had feared. I went in and signed in. The office personnel have never been friendly in their interactions with me, nor have I seen them be friendly to others who approach the window for service. They get their job done without ever cracking a smile. That's a shame because the office would have gotten much higher marks from me if they could be a little more cheery and welcoming. They handle the co-pay and any other business up front.

This appointment was made during the prior appointment with Dr. Dominy 3 months ago. But when I've needed to make an appointment with her, I've been able to get in to see her within a week of calling. Dr. Dominy also has a pager number that makes her a little more available to her patients than most physicians I have dealt with. She returns calls in a timely manner.

I was called back within 10 minutes of arriving (remember, I was early) so that was good. Dr. Dominy's assistant took my blood pressure and reviewed my reason for being there. Soon after she left, Dr. Dominy came in.

Dr. Dominy is extremely knowledgeable about women's health issues. And another thing that I like about her practice is that she's pretty much strictly gynecology so my appointment is less likely to get bumped or delayed because of an unexpected delivery at the hospital. Her breadth of experience spans a couple of decades or more so she can tell you about trends in women's health care but she also keeps up on cutting edge care. She listens to you, but once she gets on a roll with her diagnosis and possible solutions, you have to listen fast because she gives you a lot of information at once. I would recommend note-taking if you're not a fast listener.

Not during this particular appointment, but during my annual physical, she's the best I've ever experienced for the actual exam. What can be an awkward experience is a breeze. During the breast exam, she had me laughing at something that distracted me from the fact that she was kneading my breasts. The pelvic exam was just as easy. She narrated her examination in a comforting clinical way that was still personal to me. And she's quick. (When your legs are spread and in the air, you really want this part to be quick.)

The pelvic exam follow-up notification has been fairly quick. Within a couple of weeks, I received a copy of the lab report in the mail with Dr. Dominy's hand-written remarks, assuring me again that everything was okay.

The office environment is just ok. They renovated a year or so ago and the laminate flooring makes the rooms a little harsher when it comes to noise insulation. My health issues are nothing I'm ashamed of, but I do feel like anyone within 20 feet of the door could hear the conversations in the examination room.

Upon checkout, I exited past the woman at the front desk. A friendly goodbye or thank you would have been better, but she never even looked up from her desk. Dr. Dominy's bedside manner definitely makes up for the lack of office staff friendliness. When I go, I know to expect no frills customer service out front, but someone who will listen and respond once it comes to my health.

I went to her for a well woman exam. She was very thorough and comprehensive and spent a lot of time with me. The staff friendliness was fine but the one thing that caught me by surprise was that they charged me a $25 administrative fee on a yearly basis that was not disclosed at the time that I made the appointment. This fee is outside of your insurance coverage and it is to be paid out of the patient's pocket so I paid it since I was already there but I wish they had told me that fee would be due when I made the appointment because it may have changed my mind about using her.

I consulted Dr. Dominy for the first time. She is nice and a very good gynecologist. I also use the services of Dr. Herrington who is from the same practice for a surgery. Dr. Dominy does not perform any surgeries. It?s easy to consult her and schedule an appointment. My insurance covers her services, so never had any issues with billing. I liked her services and will use the same in future.
