  • It was a huge building with the cardiologist and endocrinologist. We saw the general radiologist the first time and he was wonderful. He spent a lot of time with us. He didn’t think the cat was going to make it through the weekend. But he was great. He explained everything. I thought it was extremely expensive. They took us pretty quickly. I had one problem with them. When we brought our cat in, the technician they were going to do and she said that they were going to do an echocardiogram and another procedure. I asked her how much it's going to be and she said it's going to be $600 and that wasn't including the visit. I'd rather have the one test done because I think they'll get the same reading for the one test by doing the second test. She said that the policy is I do both of them and I told her that's not right. She went and checked and the doctor came out and told me they will try to do the one test and if for some reason they can't get the reading, they will do the second. At least I questioned it. The amount is a lot when you're talking about a cat who had already been through x-rays and echo and the other tests that we already have done on him. I guess it's because you're paying for quality. They faxed all the reports to my daughter because she can review all the tests they did on him. Then they called her and talked to her about it and made sure she agreed with all that they were doing. That part of it was really good and made it worth everything because she's very opinionated. They called and e-mailed almost every week to find out how he was doing. The followed up on everything. They worked with the other vet to have her do the blood work and other stuff so that we didn't have to pay the higher price fee. They wrote prescriptions instead of us having to buy the medications from them. He was very willing to work with me as far as trying to find the best solutions to everything that we were doing. Everything we  did, even though it was so expensive, I'm glad i did it.

  • They did a really good job but it was expensive. We have a cat that has cardiac failure. He also had an immune disease and I had to bring him back and forth there for maybe two years. Dr. Bailey said that he don’t normally check a cat’s heartbeat or blood pressure when a cat comes in. So they never checked his. What happened was his blood pressure was high he ended up going blind on one eye and could barely see on the other eye and apparently, his heart condition had been going on for a month and a half before the crisis that  he had and I had him in there during that time but they never picked up on it. But she said that it’s not a routine thing. She said that she will talk to Dr. Schultz about incorporating that into the wellness check because it’s a simple thing to check. She was really good. When we brought our cat that had difficulty breathing to her, she didn’t think he was going to make it the next day but he ended up lasting like 3 more months. She gave me different things to try with him to see if we could get him to eat or at least make it through a couple of days. She gave me her home phone number and told me that if anything changes or if we have any questions, we can call her at home. She was willing to give up her time to help us through the bad times with him. He was supposed to have his blood pressure monitored so I brought him there and the machine wasn’t working. They tried to take it with the other machine and that wasn’t working, too. The failure of equipment was a problem. When I brought the dog in, I put a bandage on her tail and everything else and their technician was asking how our dog is doing and she said she doesn’t look too bad and when the dog wagged her tail and blood went flying all over the place. Then she was running all over the place.

  • Just switched vets in November. I have 3 dogs, 2 are older with arthritis. Love Dr. Goodman and Dr. Allison. They work with you on treating your dogs. They don't just say one option and they will discuss various treatments and they respect my opinion as the dog's owner.
My two older dogs are getting laser therapy on an ongoing basis and are doing well! They are very accommadating and everyone in the office is friendly and truly act like they love your pet!

  • I am very shocked and upset that I trusted him with the care of my 3 dogs for the past couple of years, including a couple surgeries and extensive dental work. How do I know that medications used in surgeries were not expired? I never will know. I have filed a formal complaint with the State of Maryland Board of Veterinary Examiners for unethical practices.

  • As our dog was under anesthesia for an extended period of time, Dr. Allison called three times during the day to keep us informed. We really appreciated all of Dr. Allison's time and attention. All of the staff really care about the animals and Dr. Allison does a great job explaining everything. We felt confident that our dog was receiving the best care possible.
As to the cost, when we rescued our dog, we were aware of the medical issues and knew treatment was going to be costly. When you look at the itemized bill, each item seems pretty reasonable, even though the total was high. We felt it was better for our dog to only have her under anesthesia once, rather than treating the teeth and cyst separately, which would have spread out the cost.
We have used this practice for routine care for our other dog for several years and we have always had a positive experience.
Thanks to all for the excellent care!

  • Four County has two vets. Dr. Allison is great, good with the animals and explains everything to the owners. I only use Dr. Allison. The other vet is Dr. Goodman. I find him to be very rough with my dogs and cats. I avoid him as my pets are already scared about going to the vets and don't need any added motivation. If this was just Dr. Allison's practice I would have given it high marks in all areas except price. They are a little high in my opinion but not the worst in the area.

  • Dr. Allison spoke to me on the phone, at length, after cleaning Eddie's teeth and performing tooth extractions. The entire staff at Four Corners is very helpful and caring. Eddie is a new patient at Four County, and I am looking forward to continuing to bring him to Dr. Allison for all his veterinary needs!

  • Overall, the experience has been great. They gave our dog excellent care. I always felt like I was at a small-town vet clinic; they give great personal care. I loved that Patrick Skipton, DVM, always gives to the community, which is so important outside of care for the animals. He supports high school kids for internships. and contributes to so many other things outside of the community. When I go to the clinic, I feel as though I'm going to a true part of Damascus.

  • My dog has had a lot of issues and I paid them probably about $200 for all the shots. I spent $45 for one shot in June. The vet I see there is probably the best vet I have ever met in my life. My parents have been with him since I was a kid. He has always been nice and he gave me his personal number for any emergencies. I went to school with his daughter as well. I would use his services in the future too.

  • Their staff is wonderfull, very friendly but professional, from the receptionist to the techs to the doctors. I rarely wait any longer than five minutes to be seen, their exams are thorough and they explain everything they do and treatments they suggest. I never feel rushed, they're always happy to answer questions. The first time I took a dog to them, they spotted a malignant liver tumor that the previous vet had not yet addressed, although she was aware of it. I trust these people; and because their prices are affordable, I can take my pets to them whenever I need to instead of saving up for procedures. They will also give you estimates for more expensive procedures, dental work and surgeries, and work out a payment plan with you if you need it.
