ADon Kuestner's Hardwood FloorsDon was absolutely amazing! He did a FANTASTIC job with our floors. We originally hired him to refinish existing hardwood floors in a home we had just purchased and upon his arrival we were sad to discover the hardwood was only in 2 rooms of the house. He was very helpful in coming up with an alternative solution to lay laminate flooring and instructed us on the best quality products to purchase. His years of experience are clearly reflected in his excellent work which he takes pride in. He was prompt, completed the project on time and came in under the cost estimate. ABrock's General ContractingBrock and his father were very honest, professional contractors and priced fairly they worked tirelessly to get the job done and did a great job my shower came out wonderful the tile looked great couldn't be more pleased. AWright's CarpetMy mother was in rehab and since she was out of the house, we wanted to replace the carpet. Spoke to Randy and he sent Roger to north Buncombe County with samples since my mother couldn't come to them. They had to order the carpet but it arrived within several days. Installation occurred several days later and was finished by a nice (Mexican?) family the same day. Overall, we are extremely pleased and while it wasn't the cheapest quote we received, we would use Wright's Carpet again because they made it so easy.- Mike H.

BGornall Construction IncRick and Co. had to gut my entire kitchen after water damage occurred. They had to replace the flooring, bottom kitchen cabinets, wall cabinets, and countertop. It did take a considerable amount of time to complete the job (I think due to the damage occurring right before Thanksgiving and Christmas and the fact that we ordered custom everything) If there was something not completed to our liking, they were quick to make it right. All in all, it took from October 2011 - March 2012 to finish all the work. They are some of the nicest people I've met.- Sandy A.

CNext Day FloorsI went to Bill's Carpet Fair to look at flooring and the sales man was nice enough and he showed me around. I had done a lot of research online, so I knew what I wanted and what I was looking for, he asked me why I wanted this particular brand, he showed it to me and told me about it and he actually called the ware house and said that they had some from another. I actually chose a different color from what I wanted and I went there and the floor manager was there and he said that they didn't carry that stock and it would take a couple of weeks to order it. I told him that the other sales man had told me that they have it in this color and he told me that the sales man would do anything to get a sale and I couldn't believe he said that and then he showed me a different kind of flooring and told me that is what they have in stock. I told him that I wasn't interested in that one and I looked at what he had in stock and it wasn't rated and if a floor doesn't pass with all the tests, it doesn't get a rating. I think he was over charging me on it and he didn't want to sell me anything else if I wasn't buying that particular flooring. He got really hostile when I told him that I wasn't interested in what he had and I wanted the other one. He told me that I didn't know what I was talking about, he told me that water and laminate flooring do not mix and this is partially true because some are better than other. He got really mad and he treated me like I was a stupid person and I didn't know anything and when I told him that I knew about the ratings, he got off and walked away into his office. I had already given then a USD 100 which I still have to get back. My husband went to get it and they said they couldn't give it to him because I had paid it to them. It was a very discouraging situation there and I was not very impressed with the way the manager handled a customer. I was turned off by the whole situation.- gina j.

FHorrible Company!!! I hired Remodel USA to remodel my kitchen in December 2019. I was so excited about my new kitchen and the salesperson did a great job hooking me. Even the president of the company called and thanked me for choosing them. I thought I found the best company but unfortunately once they got my deposit I discovered that they are a nightmare. I called for months trying to figure out when they were going to start the work and the once they did show up they just tore everything up and left me with a huge mess that I now have to pay someone else to fix. Not one permit was pulled despite being told it was being done and that the city was asking for this or that to justify delay after delay. Then when confronted they tried to say that permits were not needed even though the city assured me that that was not correct. And confronting them was another issue all together. No one knows what is going on from the top on down. Poor communication and dishonest business practices are their staple. Don’t let these guys take advantage of another person.

AI couldn't be happier with the service and product. Steve gave me a quote for the entire job the day after first calling him, and his crew came out two weeks later to start the work. They were right on time, made quick work of the garage, from grinding and shot blasting to the first layer of epoxy and color chips. The final product is stunning, and my only regret is not doing it sooner.

AMy first encounter with United Structural Systems company ( USS) was last year, when I had to face the decision which company I go for foundation repair at my house in West Virginia. It was equal bids on my project from two companies USS and Alltek. Unfortunately for me, I made the decision to go with Alltek Environmental Services company at that time. Foundation repair was finished in August 2019 by Alltek (please read my review, that I placed separately for Alltek). 48,000 dollars payment later foundation been done. I finally be able to place my house for sale this year and come to realization, after inspection is done on the house, that it is a presence of water leak in the storage area. I could not believe, how it is possible, when the foundation repair was just done 8 months ago. I guess, things were not done properly after all. After numerous attempts to contact Alltek company, I finally be able to get the response with another promise to “fix it” in the amount of $9,200 or later for free…if I take off my review of their company from homeadvisor.com. Lack of professionalism, poor craftsmanship and PR was major disappointment for me. To be honest, after I been treating inferiorly by Alltek, I did not have any desire to go back to the same company. I was looking for second opinion how to resolve these issues. I decided to reach out again United Structural (who I was hoped to remember me from last year) and explain my dilemma. Bobby K. (Sales Manager for USS) come to the rescue! He was willing to give me his unbiased opinion on the situation. Bobby K, “commander in charge”, went to the house and informed me, that “downspout lines were never installed, the part on top of the ground went nowhere and tie back patch was poor quality”. Simply put it, Alltek did a mediocre job. I immediately made the decision go ahead and proceed with United Structural Systems company for repair of the mistakes. I cannot say enough praise for the USS company and manager Bobby K. This re-du project was done in timely matter, communication was superior ( needless to say I live out of state and it was never an issue), area after the job was clean up to perfection and…the garage/storage area now look dry bone and beautiful. Awhhhh... maybe I should not sell my house after all?! I have a buyer on the house, and I am closing in 2 weeks and can say with all honesty, I could not do that without United Structural help. It was exceedingly difficult situation for me, and it was resolved by USS company with flying colors. Thank you again USS. I recommend you without any hesitation!!! AFantastic! Devin and his team remodeled three of the four bedrooms in my townhouse in Clarendon: the first about four years ago and the other two bathrooms two years ago. He also built me a new closet in the master bedroom. The entire experience was amazing. The work is top quality - years later it still looks perfect and I have not had any problems - and his team is polite, professional, timely and they left my home spotless when they left. And since the work has been completed, Devin has helped me with little issues for free whenever I needed help. He is truly a talented professional and a stellar person. Can’t recommend highly enough!

AMy wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the way the floors turned out. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. Originally scheduled to take three days, the job ended up taking four days. Mr. Grix had advised during the quote process that a large area severely darkened by dog stains might not be able to be sanded out. He said boards might need to be replace. That turned out to be the case after the sanding was finished on Day 1. Most of Day 2 was then consumed by taking out boards and replacing them. This pushed the staining and polyurethane days back one day. The additional cost ($200) was very reasonable, I thought. We did the living room, dining room, stairs and long hallway. We had to leave the three bedroom floors for another time, as it is difficult to empty an entire house for a week. Kenny, the sanding/staining/poly guy, did an excellent job, especially matching the new stain with the old stain. The transition from hallway to bedrooms is practically unnoticeable. We most definitely plan to have Expert Hardwood back to do the bedroom floors when we are ready. I would most definitely recommend Expert Hardwood.
