    Patricia Williams MD
Since my last appointment, I had experienced a particularly traumatic death in my family. Dr. Williams listened to my experience and concerns. To my surprise, she recommended another health professional (not a psychiatrist) who could help me with assessing my own risk factors for the disease that took my relative's life, and who could advise what I could do if I was at risk. I was grateful for her insight and recommendation of a much-needed plan of action. At the end of the visit, Dr. Williams went to the secretary's office with me, looked up the recommended doctor's contact information, and personally wrote it down for me. She also provided me with prescriptions for the medications which enable me to feel as normal as I once did, before hormones and chronic depression set in. Dr. Williams is knowledgeable about medications, and has changed my medications and dosages, as needed. Through the years, I have seen other mental health professionals, before coming to Dr. Williams. She has been able to more accurately diagnose my condition and prescribe the exact medications that I need. I recommend Dr. Williams to anyone who is committed to finding long-term solutions to their mental health issues. '

    Amir, Dr. Murtaza
I liked his bedside manner. He can communicate to me what he thinks his wrong and I can understand him. His accent was not so thick. He ruled out everything that needed to be ruled out.

    Mir Neurology & Spine Center
Falsely and inaccurately misdiagnosed and put on medications unwarranted. Made condition worse. Was told had migraines failed to address and treat the migraines and put me on medications that for a condition that I did not have. No. the medications prescribed were not for off purpose treatment of migraines. In fact the medications prescribed triggered even more seizures.

    Lynn, Dr. Robert
As a note of caution: I have found, if  Dr. Lynn prescribes a medication for you, be sure to check with the Pharmacist to make sure there aren't any interactions.  I was happy with his treatment until my last visit.  He prescribed a medication that interacted with the other medications I was currently taking.  I ended up in the hospital, and almost died!  I would not recommend him, and I will never see him again.

    Mir Neurology & Spine Center
I had developed a constant dizziness that would not go away. It was to the point to where sitting in a chair or lying in my bed I would feel like I was going to fall out of it and I was getting to the point where I could barely function. Simple housework or trying to go to work became a struggle for me. My doctor sent me for many tests on my ears, a MRI, etc. and then he recommended that I go to Mir because he was a "dizziness specialist". I had heard horror stories about him but decided to go since he was supposedly specialized in the area and figured it could not hurt since I was at my wit's end. I was surprised that I was able to get in with him within two weeks. (Which I later realized was because he is so awful that no one else goes to him. Try going to another neurologist like Janjua - it's like a 5 month wait - there's a reason behind that.) The office staff were very friendly and efficient. Once I got in to see him and told him my symptoms he told me I was "stressed" before he even looked at my tests. Although I am not a doctor, we all know our bodies and I was not at a point where I was stressed in my life. Additionally, I have been under extreme stress before and had never had dizziness as a result. He then began to inform me that "some people believe it is the devil making me feel this way" and that I needed to "find God". I was not aware that I had went back to the dark ages and his assumption of my beliefs were also incorrect. He then proceeded to tell me that I should not "sit in front of the tv" and should get on Oprah.com to figure out ways to better my life. Once again, I'm not quite sure how he came to these conclusions with me just telling him what my symptoms are and nothing of my life; however, I don't see how don't sit in front of a tv but sit in front of a computer is going to make things better. I then became upset because I had a little glimmer of hope that going to him would get this problem squared away and then I realized that he was not going to help me whatsoever. He then asked why I was upset and I told him that there really was something wrong with me, to check my records because I've never had any serious complaints besides the common cold and flu and that I've been suffering with this constantly for months. He then said he would recommend me for a VNG test. Although I was not pleased with his service, I had not had this test and decided to have it done. The test was done by a specialist that came in from out of town. After it was completed I saw him for a follow-up. Of course, he informed me that the test results were negative and then suggested I write down ways that I need to change my life and come back in six months to discuss how I've changed my life with him. I'm not quite sure when he changed from a neurologist to a psychologist, but needless to say I did not go back to him. Luckily my dizziness subsided after 6 months before I had to pursue going to Morgantown, Winchester, Pittsburgh or Baltimore; however, I still live with the fear that it may come back since I still have no clue what caused it. Needless to say my family has strict orders that if anything should ever happen to me where I need a neurologist, he is not an option.
