    Wiseman Home Improvements
This company has worked on 3 properties I own for about 20 years. Every job has been perfect and the prices very fair. The jobs at times revealed plumbing problems I was unaware of. Everything was repaired with perfection. All calls and texts are quickly responded to. The company has done work for many of my neighbors with excellent results. They have remodelled several bathrooms, kitchens and other projects.

    Archangel Remodeling
Our basement was a disastrous situation. We had contacted six different contractors who never ever solved the problem. We were left with 14 floods in our basement resulting in an extensive amount of mold. The owner of Archangel Remodeling, Stephen, as well as his crew assessed the situation, worked tirelessly to correct the issue, all the while expressing extreme concern for our new baby. They took every precaution necessary to ensure my families safety. As a new mom I cannot express how much I sincerely appreciated the dedication to the work of this company. They were extremely pleasant, hard working, and assessed as well as addressed every last detail of the issue. We are now three months without any floods and the mold is completely gone. They are incredible and I give them my MOST sincere and highest recommendation.

    OzCorp Fine Builders
Outstanding workmanship. Steven Huppaty, owner of OzCorp Fine Builders, runs a business that is very responsive and has very high quality standards. They may be a little more expensive than many other contractors but are well worth the additional expense.

    Bay Country Floors
Absolutely fantastic experience . David arrived right on time to measure our basement , and within two business days our carpet was installed . The price was very fair and the carpet was exactly what we wanted . The installers also arrived right on time , and were very clean and courteous . Once they were done , you would have never known they were there .
We had three estimates prior to contacting Bay Country Floors , and their price was the best . We will only use this flooring company for future purchases and recommend them highly .

    Deluxe Kitchen & Bath
I recently had my entire kitchen remodeled with Deluxe Kitchen and I felt like I was in good hands from the moment I first walked in the door. John was very patient with me during the initial design phase and provided me with a nice 3D image of what my kitchen would look like when completed. I was really picky with the colors of the cabinets, wood floor, and granite countertops and Velissa was very understanding. She even assisted me with choosing the right countertop and I absolutely love it! I would highly recommend Deluxe Kitchen and bath for anyone who wants the job done right the first time. Thank you John and Velissa!

We were looking to finish our basement and didn't have any solid ideas of what kind of layout we wanted.  I met with 5 different companies and got a variety of ideas and just 3 quotes.  GloRem was the lowest price quote for a layout that I liked best, so was an easy decision since we'd seen such good reviews about them.  Tthe final price of the project wound up being more than the quote because they were unaware that Anne Arundel county code requires an egress window for any finished space (we were not installing bedrooms).  But Eugene was very gracious in reducing the cost of an egress window, since it was not in the original plan.
This is the second major renovation I've done, and was a very different experience than the first.  For one thing, we were given complete freedom to choose the bathroom tile, vanity, toilet, and everything else wherever we wanted.  This was great, but made it very hard for us to make timely decisions.  We were so late choosing the bathroom vanity that it delayed the end of the project by 4 weeks.  But Eugene was always very patient with us and had no problem waiting until it came in.
When we signed the contract, we were given a choice of (1) wait to start the project until they could focus on us and do it quicker or (2) start the project sooner, work when they have time, and eventually end sooner than option 1.  We went with option 2, since we don't really use the basement and didn't expect much disruption.  But I think maybe option 1 would've been better because we would've had a better idea of when each decision was expected.  As it was, we often heard from Eugene just 3 or 4 days before they needed a decision from us (like floors or paint color).  We were also surprised by the hours spent here in the evenings and weekends (my first project was all done 9-5 Mon-Fri).  But they changed their plans without complaint the one time I requested that they not come on a Saturday.
This was a long and time-consuming process for us, but we are absolutely thrilled with the end result.  Everyone who worked on our basement was friendly, professional, and did amazing work.  I can't think of anything I want different than what I have.  Eugene was very easy to reach with random questions throughout the project.  I have his number stored in my cell and will probably keep it there for my next project.

    Glenn Construction LLC
I contacted multiple companies to get quotes on finishing my basement, and Glenn Construction was the first meeting I had.  When I met with Glenn, he was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the best way to do the project.  Although some of his ideas seemed like extra work and weren't mentioned by anyone else I met with.
Two weeks after I met with him, I received a phone call from someone in his company who was very apologetic about the delay in giving me a quote and asked if I was still interested in seeing the quote at all.  I informed her that I was still interested in getting the quote, and she said I'd have it within a week.  I never heard from anyone in the company again.
Obviously I did not hire them to finish my basement.

    A Class Renovations
The basement is great. We provided the plans (done ourselves on free software) and contractor obtained permits, and took off from there. We still use the plumber and HVAC guys he brought in for work in the rest of the house. We were not happy with the electrician, and A Plus no longer uses him. The only issues we had were from not putting specific product requests in writing (i.e., the specific door we had chosen). The price did not include flooring (we installed some click-lock flooring ourselves and paid for carpeting in the rest) so that stung a bit (we knew going in, though we didn't realize how much it would be separately). The price did include a new water main to the house, which was as good a deal as we were going to get. Very pleased with the work! Also, the skylights have been in for almost 5 years and weathered some major snow (remember Snowmaggedon, winter 2010-2011!?), a minor hurricane and other weather without any leaks. Work done at previous address in Baltimore city was excellent - wall and French door were added into a very small, crooked old row house and trimmed out beautifully to camouflage the faults of the aged building. Have trusted this contractor repeatedly with house keys. No problem, no worries.

    Southern Charm Remodeling
Let me first say, do you know how hard it is to get a reliable contractor to come out for a small job?  Well it is hard, and because I had a window to install there was absolutely no window company that would even consider doing the work because it was not a large enough job.  Southern Charm Renovations knew before calling that I had a small job, and still I received a prompt and courteous  response.  It was very important that I get the window installed before closing on a house.  I first saw that Southern Charm advertised in the Penny Saver so I looked him up on both Angie's List and BBB.  The Owner Ron has over 36 yrs in remodeling experience.  He came out on the date/time as scheduled and removed the old window, installed the new one that I had purchased at Home Depot, and caulked, and installed new window PVC trim.  All went well and the window looks great.

    James L Graves Construction
James L. Grave Construction were consummate professionals who delivered the highest quality on time and on budget.  Our growing family required growing living space and it was time to finish the basement.  We shopped around, but James L. Graves Construction were the only company that paid attention to all of the details of the project quote.  They gave us a great quote and stuck to it.  Since they've finished we have received nothing but compliments on our new basement.  As with any large project there were glitches here and there, but what matters is how they're handled.  The contractors handled them exceptionally well and were committed to our satisfaction.  They were always professional, respectful, and accommodating of our daily lives.  Such a great experience that I recommended them to my own mother.
