    ARDO Contracting Inc
They Were absolutely amazing. I know that having an addition added to your home is not an easy project but, working with Ardo made this go as smoothly as absolutely possible. When and if an issue arose they were right on the issue and correcting it right away until I was not only happy but thrilled with the project. I was so happy with the work that I am hoping to start another addition in October 2019 (it was only delayed from an August start date due to the Ellicott City Moratorium.)

    ARDO Contracting Inc
ARDO Contracting is absolutely amazing! After many varied experiences with many contractors over many years, ARDO has raised the bar to exceeding expectations. During last season's wind storm, an enormous old oak tree fell on our house puncturing the roof and and destroying our newly built screened in deck. Paul came out that day, promised to "button up" the roof early the next morning before the predicted rainfall. And he did!! On time, competent, and kind and friendly to boot!! What we learned over the extensive repairs was that EVERYONE at ARDO was spectacular. From Lisa, who answered the phone, to every man who showed up ON TIME AND WHEN EXPECTED(!!!) throughout the job, you couldn't ask for more. Not only did they do an exceptional job, but were generally a delight to have around. In the process of repairing the house and deck, we asked for additional work: adding insulation to the attic, replacing a water heater, electrical work, etc. Nothing, no job, was too large or too small. All were completed beautifully. There is no doubt that if we ever need ANYTHING, ARDO is the first call we'll make! Amy and Charles M

    NLT Construction
This past summer (2017) I was fortunate to have used the services of NLT Construction, specifically, the owner, Dave Cedrone who functioned as the head contractor overseeing the work of 3 sub-contractors (electrical, flooring, and painters). I contracted with NLT Construction for carpentry and coordination of the work of the sub-contractors. Dave had me contract individually with the subcontractors he recommended, which worked out well. I used the painter and flooring subcontractors Dave recommended but foolishly decided to go with a different electrician (who did not play well with others). Dave coordinated and checked the quality of everyones work. The entire job was finished within the expected timeframe and within the estimated cost. Here are some very specific reasons I recommend Dave without reservation: Responsiveness and excellent communication skills: (How many times have you heard those words used to describe a contractor?) Dave was ALWAYS reachable, frequently getting back to me within minutes of my placing a call or sending an e-mail. As I was disassembling my house, I experienced a shelf emergency involving shelves installed years ago by another contractor. I realized that most of the existing shelves throughout the basement and garage (onto which I planned to load a house-full of boxes) had been installed shoddily and were in danger of collapsing. I called Dave (before his work was even scheduled to begin) in a panic and he had his men come that same day (and the next) to rebuild and/or reinforce the shelves. Problem-solving and cost saving: One of Daves greatest strengths is the fact that he always came up with solutions for the inevitable and unpredictable problems that arose along the way. For example, he had warned me that a picture window with a rotting frame may need to be replaced, but that he wouldnt be able to tell until his men worked on it. It did need replacing, but he called one of his window contacts, got me an excellent price, which (including his crews labor) was $6,000 less than my husband and I had been quoted years previously when we first noticed the rot beginning to form. Along similar lines, I had been told by numerous contractors I interviewed that a (different) living room window would need to be replaced. When I asked Dave how much he would charge to replace it, he said he didnt the entire window needed replacing only a section of the wooden casement, which he thought Pella still made. He called his Pella contact and had him send me a replacement part that cost round $60 instead of several thousands for window replacement. He was the only contractor who did this. Insistence on quality work: Dave stopped by frequently to check on the work of the subcontractors. During his visits (inspections) I noticed that he would routinely ask them why they chose to do the work in a specific way. Afterwards the supervisor of the painting crew commented that Dave is always always open to learning new ways of doing things. He knows what quality work looks like and will ask them to redo something that is not done to his standards. Because they know this, they take special care to do things right the first time when working on his Jobs. [Worked for me!] In addition to doing excellent work and expecting (and getting) the same from his subcontractors, Dave was also very fair with his pricing and very clear in setting up and implementing the specs of his contracts (in order to minimize misunderstandings down the line.) I truly appreciated the care Dave took with my house. Once I fully recover from the trauma of having had to disassemble and then reassemble my entire house, I hope to renovate my kitchen and bathrooms. I wouldnt even think of calling anyone but Dave to do the work. You will not regret your decision if you hire him.

    Morris Remodeling Inc
This is the third time I've used Morris Remodeling for work in my home. This time we had a sunroom addition and we enlarged the existing deck. Cannot speak more highly of the workers and the staff that I dealt with at Morris Remodeling. Unlike many contractors Morris' crew shows up everyday. And even works on weekends if needed. When they come they don't leave until the job is done. Would recommend you give them a try!

    ANDERSON HOME IMPROVEMENT LLC
We moved into a home but could not enjoy the screened in deck due to LITERALLY THOUSANDS of stinkbugs. We had a pest control company come in to do a special treatment which would allow them to die once they got in but they were still getting in by the hundreds. They recommended we call Anderson Home Improvement for "Barrier protection"- in other words to physically seal any possible gaps in the exterior structure. There were gaps between the wood deck and the siding on the house, there were also gaps at various joints in the wooden deck structure itself. He managed to caulk/seal every possible opening so that we now have a STINKBUG FREE deck. He was professional, fair, thorough and conscientious. I asked for references and spoke to a woman who said he also had a similar infestation and he managed to beautifully seal all the openings in the primarily glass sunroom in their home. She was thrilled and so are we. We have also used him for other handyman projects and he has done a wonderful job with those projects too. Strongly strongly recommend Douglas Anderson/ Andeson Home Improvement.

    ALC Contractors , LLC
The scope of our project was huge and it was very complex. From the planning and estimating stages all the way to completion ALC never disappointed. The work was done exactly as promised to impeccable standards. Every deadline was met and every expectation was exceeded. The crew was professional, thoughtful and courteous at all times. Whether building from scratch, renovating or remodeling I would very highly recommend ALC.

    Remodel USA
They were very organized. They sent few architects to figure out what could be done, and they had everything prefabricated and installed in couple of days. The gentleman in charge of the project, Dan Moore, was very nice and nice to work with.

    Prime Construction Corp
Augustin's crew worked tirelessly, even making up rain delays to complete the project within six weeks. They were very courteous, ensured minimum amount of noise and disturbance to the neighborhood, cleaned up well and left our house and the addition in great condition. While Augustin and we had a strong plan going into the project, some adjustments were made along the way, all of which were accommodated and executed professionally.
Overall, we are very pleased with the project and will consider hiring Prime Construction for future projects.

    Remodel USA
I WENT TO A HOME AND GARDEN SHOW, AND SIGNED UP FOR A FREE ESTIMATE FROM THESE FOLKS. THE FIRST SALESMAN WHO CAME OUT SMELLED STRONGLY OF CIGARETTES AND WAS VERY NERVOUS--GAVE ME A BAD IMPRESSION. THE MATERIAL LOOKED LIKE HIGH QUALITY THOUGH. THEN THEY CALLED AND SAID THE MANAGER WANTED TO COME OUT. HE DID AND WAS A PRETTY HARD SELL. HE STARTED OUT WITH A HIGH PRICE, THE PRICE FROM THE PREVIOUS SALESMAN, THEN STARTED CUTTING IT DOWN IN EXCHANGE FOR CERTAIN CONCESSIONS. HE SAID THAT HIS COMPANY WANTED TO MAKE SOME INROADS INTO COLUMBIA, AND IF I AGREED TO HAVE AN OPEN HOUSE ONCE THE WORK WAS DONE, I'D GET A DISCOUNT. THEN, IF I AGREED TO DO AN ADVERTISEMENT (A VIDEO SPOT) I WOULD GET A FURTHER DISCOUNT. IT ALL SOUNDED GOOD SO I SIGNED A CONTRACT. BUT WITHIN THE THREE DAY GRACE PERIOD, I CHANGED MY MIND, SO SUBMITTED THE CANCELLATION NOTICE PAPERWORK. I THEN GOT A FLURRY OF PHONE CALLS--THEY WANTED TO KNOW WHY I CHANGED MY MIND, THE MANAGER WANTED TO COME BACK, THE OWNER WANTED TO TALK TO ME. SOMEONE HAD TO COME OUT AND HAVE ME SIGN ANOTHER CANCELLATION, AND I HAD TO SIGN A CANCELLATION OF THE FINANCING PAPERS. THEY MADE A REALLY BIG DEAL OUT OF THE CANCELLATION, AND THEN IT TOOK OVER A MONTH TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. I HAD TO CALL THEIR FINANCE PERSON SEVERAL TIMES--SHE WAS OUT OF THE OFFICE, OUT TO LUNCH, WHATEVER. FINALLY DID GET MY MONEY BACK.
TOO HIGH PRESSURE, TOO MUCH LIKE USED CAR SALESMEN, ALL THAT ABOUT HAVING AN OPEN HOUSE AND DOING A VIDEO JUST SOUNDED STRANGE.

    ARDO Contracting Inc
I enjoyed watching the process and whenever you watch something being built there will be surprises and changes. Ardo workers dealt with the surprises and our changes as they worked. Watching the addition change daily and morph into our lovely finished room was not without curve balls, but turned out to be a wonderful experience.
