  • Great! Dave Bowlin is a good communicator, which we really appreciate, and Reinaldo and his crew did a beautiful job. They were very flexible with things that came up on-the-fly, and alerted us to a vanity that was delivered damaged (by a big box store) in time that we could get it replaced so they could install it during the job's time period. In fact, they were able to get it done a day earlier than originally anticipated.

  • Dave and Dave (Father and Son) did most of the renovation of my bathroom. Abe did the plumbing. All 3 were excellent, very skilled, helpful, easy to work with and did a great job.   • After 23 years in our home we decided to have our kitchen remodeled. After getting 4 quotes we decided to go with VKB. They provided all the materials (cabinets, flooring, backsplash) at the best price. They offered a good selection of materials. Most companies estimated 4-6 weeks, but VKB finished in three! Our project manager, Jason Freeman, was great. Anything we had concerns about he addressed quickly and cheerfully. We had a few minor issues with our flooring, but those were fixed to our satisfaction. I would happily recommend VKB.

  • VKB did a fantastic job on our kitchen remodel. Joe was very attentive to our needs and created a design that we were very happy with. Jason maintained excellent communication throughout the job. Being able to text or call him with any questions or concerns was very convenient. Finally, Jose and his team did amazing work.   • Capital Remodeling replaced my windows about 4 years ago. The install was done in a day and we love the windows. We immediately noticed a change in how much warmer our house was in the winter and cooler in the summer. Then, just a month or so ago my husband accidentally broke off a security latch because he didn't realize I had it out when he pulled down the top part of the window. They offered to bring it out but said all I would need to do is take the old one out and pop it back in so I said I could do it but would call if I had any issues. I told them I would come and pick it up at the office but they said it wasn't necessary and they were just going to send it to me for free. I received it within the week. I was so pleased because the problem was 100% our fault. I mention the service because I think that's when a lot of companies seem to ignore you or try and change the terms of the warranty because they already have your money. To me they really showed they stand behind their work. We were so pleased with out window installation that we had them replace our kitchen a year ago. The work included: bulkhead removed, cabinets completely reconfigured and installed, peninsula removed, register moved, counter top installed, sink & faucet replaced, built in microwave installed along with a vent that actually vented to the outside (it drove me crazy that it never vented to the outside before!). I was pregnant at the time and very worried it would not be done in time for our baby's arrival. I did not want work done once the baby arrived. I was assured that they would be done in plenty of time and I shouldn't worry. The entire install went so well. I was able to be home during most of the installation. The workers were very professional and definitely seemed to take the time to do everything correctly. They were even able to facilitate a couple last minute changes we asked for and still finished within the deadline. They had really good suggestions but also allowed me to make my own selections while also helping me stay within my budget. The office always responded to our concerns and it always seemed like everyone was on the same page. The entire job was finished 6 weeks before my due date and I couldn't be happier. The old 80's oak cabinets are gone and now it looks beautiful! I love my soft close cabinets and granite counter-top so much. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

  • We couldn’t be more pleased with not only the outcome, an absolutely beautiful, updated kitchen, but the process was the best possible given the disruption such a remodeling can cause. The remodeling team was wonderful, respectful, and offered excellent ideas when we were unsure about some decisions we had to make. They were highly responsive and clearly are experts. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will surely contact them for any future projects we might have.

  • I hired Mike to come in remove and replace a medicine cabinet and also take down a shower stall and he did an excellent job was very punctual professional as well as very knowledgeable and i will be hiring him to fo more work in my house. The only downside was i had to find a way to dispose of items he removed oh and to mention he cleaned up afterwards.

  • the service was very good. they were efficiennt and clean. they promise the work to be done. they did it very well and very detailed work. the owner is there to supervise making sure it was done right, he is very accountable.

  • Like an idiot, I paid for their 16 hour "special" that's only $1,900. They sent a new guy out - Patrick - who had just left a family owned business and spent a lot of time talking about how he's not appreciated by his current company (instead of working). It was very hard to get him to stop talking and start working. It took him 8 hours just to finish a powder room. He put it together very badly the first time - the finishing was obviously very poorly installed with spaces around the toilet and the walls. He had to take THREE trips to Home Depot to find the write hose to attach the pedestal sink. It would take all the time in the world to list the problems we had with Patrick. He came the second day 2.5 hours late. He was only supposed to work for four hours that day! That time was never made up. He spent most of the first day on the phone! I could never find him inside the house! He would take 2 hour coffee/Home Depot breaks. He would arrive late, pack p early, and told us he needed to avoid traffic! We paid for 16 hours. He worked incredibly slowly. He spoke a lot about his resentment for the company he worked with but begged for a positive review b/c he was new. I did call his boss Rose and discuss ALL of the problems we were having with Patrick and she said Brian would talk to him. The next day he showed up and was surly. I quickly realized we'd only be able to get the house ready before listing if I humored him. I wrote "great job" at the end b/c I was so relieved it was over and also b/c I felt a lot of pressure from him to do so. (When we did pay him in cash that weekend he worked like a fiend - which makes it so obvious that he just didn't give a **** while he was working on company time). Obviously, the company never made this right. Weeks later I realized we'd been conned and it was ridiculous not to dispute half of the charge. I filed a dispute with AmEx. I got an incredibly aggressive phone call from Brian who said, "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" Um, yes you can dispute transactions if the merchants are terrible. I've never had to do it before but you better believe I did this time. What happened? Brian sneered that the problems had already "been resolved" after the multiple phone calls with Rose. Oh? Resolved? We didn't get any type of a refund, Patrick didn't work extra hours - nothing. Literally nothing was done - we had to pay the entire price. Next, to my amazement, Brian said they "ALWAYS win AmEx disputes" b/c customers have to sign that they approve when they pay at the end of the day. I couldn't believe he was openly admitting that merchant disputes are a regular problem for this company - that says quite a bit for how they operate! I tried to calm Brian down by explaining we were only disputing half of the charges (even though after all of this we will be asking the national company for a full refund). Brian abruptly said he'd speak with Rose and hung up. AmEx credited us but then sent us 2 emails that we couldn't open and neither could the AmEx agents overseeing the dispute. As a result, since we couldn't actively communicate during the dispute, it was resolved in the merchant's favor. You better believe we opened up another dispute right away and will be calling AmEx regularly to make sure they don't mess up again! I have an actual voicemail from Rose calling me back to discuss all of the concerns we were having with Patrick! SO - BE CAREFUL - go with a handyman you know in your neighborhood. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They either don't pay the contractors well enough (Patrick kept complaining he was treated like he didn't know how to do anything even though he could build houses, blah blah - wish he'd shown us some of that while he was on the company's dime!). I can see the most recent review has the exact same problems we did - the guy came hours left, worked as slow as humanly possible, etc. Home renovations are EXTREMELY expensive - this company should be ashamed of how they take advantage of consumers. Absolutely disgusting. Heads up - Patrick asks to be paid in cash so he doesn't need to pay the IRS. He will work hard but as soon as you leave town he'll try to screw you over. If we had had more time we would have switched to another company immediately before listing the house.
