    ARDO Contracting Inc
ARDO Contracting is absolutely amazing! After many varied experiences with many contractors over many years, ARDO has raised the bar to exceeding expectations. During last season's wind storm, an enormous old oak tree fell on our house puncturing the roof and and destroying our newly built screened in deck. Paul came out that day, promised to "button up" the roof early the next morning before the predicted rainfall. And he did!! On time, competent, and kind and friendly to boot!! What we learned over the extensive repairs was that EVERYONE at ARDO was spectacular. From Lisa, who answered the phone, to every man who showed up ON TIME AND WHEN EXPECTED(!!!) throughout the job, you couldn't ask for more. Not only did they do an exceptional job, but were generally a delight to have around. In the process of repairing the house and deck, we asked for additional work: adding insulation to the attic, replacing a water heater, electrical work, etc. Nothing, no job, was too large or too small. All were completed beautifully. There is no doubt that if we ever need ANYTHING, ARDO is the first call we'll make! Amy and Charles M

    JUNK Be GONE!!!!
Mr. Cauthorne was very responsive in communicating with me. He met us at the store ahead of time. He made sure it was strapped in well. I was amazed to see him pick up the dishwasher by himself and bring it in the house. He removed the old one the same way. He made sure everything was cleaned up and straight before leaving. I would rehire him again in a second. He gets an A in each category and more. Finding someone like Mr. Cauthorne is extremely rare. He is polite and extremely professional. I am already looking for more projects for Junk Be Gone. The name is deceiving of the type of work and professionalism displayed.

    Attic Sweepers Hauling
I only talked on the phone with them and I thought I listed all of the items. He quoted me $389 and we scheduled a pick up. I didn't get anything in writing and don't remember being directed to his website which said there was a 5% charge for credit cards and no checks accepted. He looked at the cabinets and tacked on $80 to include the largest. He did take some smaller items to make it more worth while.

Rodney Booth Junk & Trash Removal Baltimore
This couldn't have gone better. Rodney's crew (he and three others) arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled 8:30 AM start time. They immediately got to work hauling things from the den and two bedrooms. Items moved to the basement were positioned as requested. Most impressive was the range and execution speed of the handyman tasks, which ranged from replacing a broken flange that held a stove burner coil in place to setting up a new TV. While I could have done a few things myself, what a pleasure to have them done so quickly and efficiently by professionals. How wonderful to have three normally separate specialties -- trash hauling, interior moving, and handyman -- available through a single vendor. I used Rodney about five years ago to remove basement trash. After this great experience, I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. Thanks Rodney and associates for making this big job so easy.

    Rent Movers
We hired Rent to remove and dispose of the contents of a house. Chris and his team were on time, and they managed to squeeze out every bit of space in their truck to maximize the amount of stuff he could fit into it. He charges a flat rate and sticks to it. There was going to be an extra charge at the dump for the truck being overweight because of a piano. Chris let us know ahead of time and just passed the charge on to us with no padding. I would hire Rent again.

    Spartan Junk Removal
After a zillion dump/give-away runs from the house we left and unpacking at the new house, we ran out of steam. I found Spartan and made the appointment same-day and they were on time, personable, quick and very helpful! Preston and Don were just fantastic, loading up our crazy piles and offering help while I loaded my car with some last items. The experience could not have been better and I felt a load was lifted off of me - because it was! Thank you, Preston & Don!

    VKB Kitchen & Bath
VKB was very helpful in getting us started and deciding what style etc we wanted. Once the work began the workers spent 8-10 hours a day until the jobs were finished--very impressive. Jason was the project manager and helped us through any issues that came up as the project continued. He even solved a post-production problem by ensuring that they weren't done until we were happy with the entire project.

    VKB Kitchen & Bath
VKB is currently doing a complete renovation of our kitchen and bath. I will update this review upon completion of the job. So far the overall experience has been excellent. I had a lot of trouble making decisions during the process (which color, which countertop, etc.,) and our designer, Sean, was very patient and helpful while I went back and forth trying to decide the small details. They were also good at helping us stay within our budget, with any upgrades being initiated by me, and not from any pressure sales tactics; for example, we were initially going to only replace half of the hardwood floor but I was so happy with the results I asked for them to replace the whole floor. Sean worked with me to incorporate the most important upgrades to the cabinetry (spice rack pullouts, lazy susan, double cutlery etc.,) while not blowing up my budget. There was one minor miscommunication with sink size (I thought I ordered a smaller sink than the one received) but the bigger sink turned out to be a much better design choice, as well as more functional. Lesson learned: sometimes you should just trust your designer; if you are unsure, make sure you communicate your concerns clearly! Junior really tuned in on my focus on functionality, even down to how the sink faucet felt in my hand while using it, and upgraded it to a model he knew I would like (on his dime). After the design process, the majority of our communication was through buildertrend emails and texting directly with the project manager. I found greater success communicating with Sean through email rather than by phone, but overall he was very responsive. The final proposal that we signed only partially broke down the cost for items, but the costs were verbally covered prior to signing, with Sean pulling up the actual websites they would be ordering the items from so I could see the costs. Any additional changes or upgrades that were added later, and the exact costs of those upgrades, were recorded on an updated contract that I had to digitally sign approval for. We went to 3 other companies for quotes and VKB gave us a very fair price along with a larger selection to choose from. We negotiated a bit to come to a final cost, but at no time were any high-pressure sales tactics used; if there were, I would have walked out immediately. I suspect they may have given a higher estimate at first knowing we would want to negotiate a better price, but I feel this is standard for any company. Ferhat was our project manager, and he was amazing. He responded to text very quickly, and made sure to visit the job site at every stage of construction. On more than one occasion he caught problems before they happened, and also helped us with design choices (I didn't know what color stain to use for the floor and the color he recommended was perfect). We had two types of tile we were using for our backsplash, and Ferhat noticed there would be an inconsistency in grout line width. He was concerned it would result in a look we weren't going to be happy with and he was right. We were able to change the choice to one that flowed better before the tile went up. The color of the tile in the showroom also looked different then when it was on our wall (not necessarily bad, just different); if we had gone with our original combo choice, it would have looked terrible. Disaster averted. Little things we hadn't asked for but were nice touches were added, such as dimmer features on lights at no additional cost. I felt like he cared as much about my kitchen as he would his own. Erci and his team took care of the actual demo and installation. I want Erci to work on my house for life. His attention to detail and doing the job right was fantastic, and he made sure the rest of the crew followed his lead. Again, the little things really mattered here. We have 2 kitties that we needed to keep out of the construction area, and Erci made sure to seal the area off very well to make sure they wouldn't get in. He even got down on his hands and knees to clean the floor by hand from the kitchen to front door so the kitties wouldn't find any small construction pieces to eat. There are only a few finer details to be finished in the kitchen, and the powder room hasn't been done yet, but I am very happy with how everything has been going so far.

    VKB Kitchen & Bath
VKB did an excellent job in all aspects of my kitchen remodeling project. Deniz helped us choose the cabinets, and designed a plan that improved the functionality of our kitchen. Perhat did a great job of managing the installation team, which completed the demolition, installation, and clean up in less than a week. We had a functioning kitchen within three days from the time work began. The team worked on Saturday too! We could not be happier with our kitchen and quality of work. We would definitely hire VKB again. Great job!
