    Half Moon Custom Homes
We requested several quotes for the addition to our home, but Robb was the most professional contractor that I dealt with. He listened to what my vision was, made recommendations on how to make what I wanted even better while not hiking the price. He was very patient with us when we made changes before the project started. His entire team was trustworthy, on time and kept us informed every step of the way. I would definitely recommend him to anyone have a big or small project. Best investment we've added to the house and the perfect company to do it.

    Deck and Shed Pros
We had a great experience with Maryland Deck and Shed. The price was right, the product selection was expansive, and the construction was completed efficiently and expertly. We had a bump in the road with scheduling our initial consultation, but everything was worked out nicely and professionally after that. We were happy to have stuck with them rather then let the scheduling issue color our opinion. We would definitely use them again for further services.

Twin Locust Barns At Gunpowder Falls
The barn took longer to be built and delivered than I expected. However, it was delivered timely once the date was set for delivery. And the deliverymen were very flexible as it was very rainy that season and the date had to be rescheduled. I felt the price was reasonable as well.

Home Pro Roofing & Remodeling LLC
Home Pro was very helpful every step of the way.  I had the estimate done several months ago but was not able to do the work until recently.  They worked with my schedule and listened, and provided helpful suggestions and ultimately exceeded my expectations.  The shower is lovely and looks to be a quality job that was affordable.   Additionally, I was called out of town while the work was being done.  Kyle kept me informed on the process and progress from start to finish.
I would use the Home Pro Team again! Thanks.

We received estimates from three contractors, and talked to two more at home-improvement events.  Of the three that we asked to give us estimates, Doug, from Marrocco's impressed us the most with his explanation of the process, the type and depth of concrete used.  He also had samples of the colors and stamp patterns.  Our son is a licensed concrete inspector -- he told us what we should look for.  Doug hit all the check boxes.  The cost of the job was higher than the other contractors, but we felt that the Marrocco approach sounded better, and Marrocco's also proposed using a thicker pad of concrete on the driveway and carport, which more closely aligned with what they were removing.  When we agreed on the terms for the work, they were ready to schedule us almost immediately.  However, we had a short delay obtaining the county permit to replace the driveway apron.  The crew began work on a Monday morning.  They worked at least 12 hours breaking up and removing the old concrete, and removing the old brick and timber stoop.  They had multiple dumpsters delivered and removed during the demolition.  The next day they laid in the gravel, rebar, wire mesh; put in all of the frames, etc.  It was again at least a 12 hour day.  On the day of the concrete pour, there were at least 8 men working, including the company owner.  A couple of the men came and went, but most of them were there all day.  The color and stamp process was fascinating to watch.  And the workmen carefully went over most of the lines with hand tools.  It was almost dark when they left -- and they had started before 8AM.  A couple of days later, a crew came back to remove the forms, power wash the concrete and cut in expansion joints.  They came another day to make adjustments to the carport posts and to clean up the site.  The final step was to apply a sealant, which happened a few days after the washing.   All in all, the job took about 10 days to complete, including one or two days between a couple of the steps.
All of the workmen from the crews that came to our house were very professional and worked really hard for very long days.  The work looks wonderful and is exactly what we wanted.

    Harrison Contracting, LLC
We had this company recommended to us by a fellow contractor and Dave Harrison himself came out to give us an estimate. We found him to be a pleasant, honest ,straightforward guy who was very knowledgeable about the product and installation. All the things I was concerned about making sure they used during installation were included and were all top notch brands. The fellows showed up right on time and began the daunting task of removing all the existing cedar siding and beginning to  prep the house for the new stuff with as much care as possible so as to not damage our landscape and plantings. They even took the time to set aside some of the better pieces of our old siding for a neighbor who had asked to use on their house.  The work team was here bright and early every day and worked a long day with few to no breaks. They all seemed to be friends from the contracting business and were very good at what they did. It seemed everyone had a speciality. Dave was on the job every day cutting, measuring and caulking so he was an integral part of the subcontractors which I was pleased about. The finished product is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, and every single one of our neighbors has stopped by with compliments. All the small details I was picky about were addressed by Dave himself and we couldn't be happier. A great job by a great company at a great price.

I should probably start with the good things.  It is a nice shed and everyone was initially polite when I did reach someone. However, their office hours are only from 7am to 11am and even then I rarely reached a person and was forced to leave a message.  It would often be multiple days before I received a call back.I originally called a month before installation to order the shed.  The person I spoke with was very nice and scheduled the installation for the soonest available date, which was a month out.  They mailed me the estimate and explained what I needed to do to prepare for installation(buy a bunch of concrete pavers).  I needed to have the shed put as close to our house as possible, so I called a few days before installation to find out how that was handled.  Steve called me back and explained that they would build the shed about 18 inches from the wall and one I painted that side to call him and he would come out to move it.  Sounded great! The builder showed up on the date he said he would and built the shed.  They use pavers (which I bought)  to level it on the skid.  They also used excess shingles as shims to make up the difference (which I was not told about).  Not the prettiest solution, but it will probably work fine.  If you have a problem with that, I would suggest leveling your site and laying down a couple inches of gravel.  I ordered vents for the shed.  The front one was installed fine, but the rear one was terrible, with less than 1/4 of the vent cut out and the rest covered by plywood.  Also, the shed was so close to the back of the house it was a terrible problem painting at the top as no ladder would fit, so if you need to have your shed moved up against your house be sure there is enough room to be able to paint all the way up to the top.  I called the next day to have steve come out that friday to move the shed back and see about fixing the vent and adding a ramp.  I spoke with someone who said it shouldn't be a problem and that Steve would call me tomorrow (thursday).   Thursday passed without a call back from steve.  Steve did call Friday morning and left me a message saying he would try to get to it later that afternoon, and if not Saturday morning, but would call me later in the afternoon to let me know how his day was going.  I never got a call back that day.  He did end up calling Saturday afternoon and he discussed the situation, saying that he would not be able to do the ramp and might have trouble moving the shed if he did it that day, so he said he would be out monday with a helper to take care of everything.  As promised, Steve showed up monday and moved the shed back and built the ramp.  He did not fix the vent, which he said he couldn't because there wasn't enough room.  I don't know that he actually tried to fix the vent and may have only thought about it after he had already moved the shed back.  So I am left with only one fully functioning vent.  Very disappointing.  After he left that day, I realized that one of the sets of pavers that was holding up the shed had been knocked over and was not supporting the shed at all!  In addition the shims(shingles) on ones on the other side were no longer centered and looked as if they might come loose eventually.  I called Steve and he said they must not have checked after he moved it and just assumed they were fine.  He said he would be out Tuesday Morning at 9am to fix it.  Steve never showed up and never called.  I called and left a message that evening, didn't get a call back the next morning but was able to reach him when I called around 11:30.  He said he didn't come out because of the rain, although had no explanation for why he didn't call.  I don't believe there was any rain that day until the afternoon.  Steve said he would be out later that afternoon to fix the pavers.  He did not show up.  I called and left a message that afternoon that was not returned.  I called again in the morning and spoke with him and he was incredibly rude, talking over me and yelling and actually said "this will teach me not to be nice to customers, I told you I wouldn't come out in the rain.  If you leave a check for the ramp ($95) I will come out today"  For the record, there was no rain all day until 6:30 pm.  Excuse me?  If he had set the pavers the first time he had moved it he would not have had to come out.  Saying on 4 occasions that you would be out and not showing up and not calling is completely unprofessional.  Then, instead of apologizing, he yells at me.  Unbelievable!  The excuse of rain was also just not supported by the facts.  In both cases where he used that as an excuse there was no rain until well after he was supposed to have finished the job.  He did finally come out today to fix the pavers, although he didn't reset the shingles under it so they were centered.  It took all of 5 minutes.  The quality of the shed itself is good.  However, the lack of quality control, attention to detail and generally poor customer service and responsiveness has really ruined the experience for me.   I would not recommend them to anyone nor hire them again.

    Horizon Unlimited Home Improvements Inc
They were very cooperative in design and planning phase and prompt in answering questions and offering options.  The job got off to a rough start when they found out that one of the units was the wrong size, after construction was underway. It was not clear why they didn’t measure all units while at their shop ( they had to paint them first) so they could have  found the problem ahead of time; they reordered the unit and came on a Saturday to finish the job and install the correct size piece. I paid extra for them to paint my basement steps with Drylok foundation sealer/paint and the job they did was awful. I complained and they redid it, but I was very disappointed in their initial work. These miscues prevent me from giving them an overall A. At this point everything is completed and they provided a high quality product and job.

    Clarksville Construction Services, Inc.
Adam August at Clarksville Construction truly goes above and beyond all expectations when it comes to the quality of his craftsmanship, the personality of his team, and the pace of completion of his projects.  I will hire him again and again.  I will not let anyone else paint, install, or fix anything in either of my two homes again.  I trust him utterly and completely with a key to my home and keeping my home in good running condition.
