Foundation Repair reviews in Columbia

  • Technician, Hugo, arrived exactly on time, was professional and courteous. Reviewed job list and order in which things were to be done. Began work and asked for my approval of change in cabinet spacing to properly rehang in bathroom. Last was leveling the foundation for the small resin garden shed. The technician leveled the ground and built a foundation for the shed from existing wood, positioned shed on foundation and insured it was level and stable. Skilled labor all performed in less than 3 hours--an Angie's List special offer! Handyman at Your Command provided excellent service at a great 3-hour price!

  • Mike advised on the best course of action to repair the crack. I chose to go with the epoxy injection from the interior wall to permanently seal the crack from both sides. This solution required an opening in my drywall. Mike make a clean cut in the drywall so that I could easily repair it. Overall, Mike is very personable and knowledgeable. He is certified to do this work and was highly recommended by a neighbor.

  • JES inspected the void, showed me how they would fill it gave me a complete work-up, including cost and schedule up front.  Everyone at JES knows their business and they are all absolute professionals, well above and beyond my expectations.  When Alex Pastella and Sean Hook showed up exactly on time to do the work, my wife and I were confident the job would be done right.  We were impressed when they knocked on the door in just 45 minutes and showed us the results.  Alex showed us the finished product and explained how the JES 5 year warranty worked.  Having talked with friends who are going through costly basement repairs now, the $1,500 paid for this repair is an excellent investment, highly recommend calling JES if you have any questions or concerns about your foundation.

  • I learned of this company via an Angie's List Big Deal.  It was highly rated and recent reviews were positive.
The vendor phoned 45 minutes before my original appointment, informing me that Robert was running about an hour late.  He arrived promptly within the new window.
While I have no immediate issues, Robert explained how construction decisions could lead to some later.  He made an excellent case for pro-active work, which I'm seriously considering.  This would involve replacing and angling the drainage pipe, enlarging the sump pump hole, and installing a new pump. The initial quote was about $7000. I will conduct additional research before I decide.
Although Robert knew that I wasn't a sure bet, he invested 30 minutes beyond the inspection to show me photos and explain how the remediation process would work.  That time and customer care will likely influence my final decision.

  • Jay came out to inspect a potential water issue we had the in the basement. He determined that a 'home fix' we had applied to our concrete foundation had appeared to resolve the issue, and to assure us that it wasn't necessary to dig trenches around our home and apply waterproofing. He also gave other DIY solutions we could do to improve drainage around our house. Finally, he mentioned with all the snow melting, that would be a good indicator if the fix was holding, and if we did see evidence of water, he provided a very reasonable estimate for some internal work that would be performed (compared to other reviews). There need to be more companies like this out there, honest and ethical. Even though they "lost out" on some revenue in the short term, they definitely gained a customer for the long term, and would be the first ones I would recommend to any of my friends having basement moisture issues.

  • It was impressive.  First a guy came out to inspect the foundation and found no problems!  I am used to inspectors finding problems just to pay their salary.  Two weeks later another guy came out to inspect the sump pumps by pouring water into the sumps.  One of the sumps was full of rocks so he cleaned it out.  That in itself was a lot of work.  If he charged three times as much, it would have  been worth it.

  • I was told by a structural engineer that we have some major drainage issues in the back of our home with multiple factors contributing to these issues. One contractor told me I should check in with a foundation expert, so I gave stop leak a call. Adrian answered the phone and scheduled a same day appointment to come out and look at my home. He came to my home and determined that other providers would be necessary to help me with my problem- so he wouldn't need to give me an estimate. He walked me through what he thought needed to be done in the problem area, and walked through my home with me helping me with other areas of concern I had with the foundation. Although no work was provided, Adrian's knowledge was very helpful and I would certainly consider using stop leak again in the future should we have a need.

  • An other contractor had been by 2 days before and gave me a 'scare speech' about how my foundation would be compromised if I did not get a 12" trough dug across the back of my basement. Jay did not think any work was needed once I addressed a minor plumbing issue. He explained the visible minor damage and proceeded to examine the property for other signs of water wear. He gave me good practical advice on how to prevent water damage and was straightforward and professional. Instead of trying to scare me into spending $4k, he earned my trust by sharing his knowledge. I don't anticipate needing waterproofing, but if I do have an issue I will call Armored Basement.

  • My wife and I discovered that a portion of our foundation was damaged from poor settling of a concrete slab at the entrance to our town home.  The damage allowed water to seep in after heavy rains and general dampness from the outside air.
We found All Aspects through Angie's list and were very pleased working with them.
The estimator was extremely professional and well versed in foundation repair and waterproofing.  He took the time to explain all of our options and was very honest in proposing a solution that addressed the problem.  He did not try to offer us something more than we needed.
The crew that did the work was awesome.  They arrived on time and were very quick.  Removal of the existing slab was very clean with them hauling away the debris.  The process of fixing the foundation went smoothly and they really seemed to be experienced with the method of repair.  The replacing of the concrete slab was done perfectly.  The leader of the crew listened to my requests for replacing the slab and didn't hesitate in meeting my requests.
I also think the crew did more work than I thought would be done!  They sealed the exterior of the foundation that was damaged and installed a drainage system under the new concrete slab to remove any water that might seep under the slab after a heavy rain.
While they were waiting for the concrete to dry, the crew advised me on other things I could do to help with drainage of water from around my foundation.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with the work and feel it was worth every penny.
All Aspects appears to have very good workers who know what they are doing.
