Basement Waterproofing reviews in Columbia

    Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing
The initial installation went well except for the outlet for the water outside. They put it so close to the house, the water was effectively going back in. After several visits, I finally got someone to use a different plan that has mostly worked out. It has a few issues, but they are too hard to work with to try to get it resolved. I recently had a warranty call because part of the wall was wet. It took many calls and multiple visits before they installed a relatively simple fix.

The quality of the hardware that was installed is excellent. The water draining problem appears to be fixed (although their work has caused water damage in a corner of our basement where we have never before had a water problem in our 40+ years of living here). The patio blocks and the layout of the blocks look appealing. The backyard stoop also looks excellent. Our biggest complaint with this company is about how they handled communications about the changes that we desired and about our concerns. We informed them, in writing, within three weeks of their beginning the job, about our dissatisfaction with some of their design and plant ideas. The company representatives responded with defensiveness. In the negotiations that transpired, we reminded them that they had told us verbally, on day one, that they would work with us regarding the patio design, the location of flower beds and the plant selections. However, in the end, they were rigid in defending their written contract and justifying why we had to pay for plants and bed locations that we did not want. We paid what they demanded despite not being satisfied with the adjustment they made to the original contract when they planted considerably fewer plants than they first proposed, because we did not want those plants. This company does good work. However, we would not recommend using this company because they are so difficult to work with regarding changes and concerns that occur as the job proceeds. We would suggest that if one wants to use this company, that the consumer work to write out, very explicitly, in the contract, exactly how changes and alterations to the contract will be handled, including how adjustments in the fair cost would be made to accommodate changes and alterations requested by the consumer. All in all, the process was a very unpleasant transaction for us, although the quality of their work is good.

Clarence was easy to schedule appointment, receive estimate and schedule work for completion. Nelson's team was on time, friendly and efficient. Scope of work was scheduled for two days but the team was able to complete in 1 day.

Jay came for a consultation and was great. Professional and detail oriented. He gave me a quote that was fair and explained the work to be done. Chris and his crew came on time, were courteous and professional, cleaned up after the work and explained the work done very well. They specialize in basement waterproofing and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for waterproofing services.

    All Aspects Waterproofing
The "catch" was, because our old house (built in the late 50's) basement was wall to wall tiled in what was 99.9% sure to be asbestos based tile, the tile around the perimeter undergoing the work had to be removed first, before All Aspects could begin their waterproofing process. For that work I chose Maryland Cleaning and Abatement (who also did a great job). Once the abatement work was done, the crew from All Aspects got right on the job performing the waterproofing work. Frankie and crew were very through with doing the best they could "sealing" the rest of the basement from the work area, keeping most of the dust and debris contained and quickly demoed out the concrete, fitted the sump and drain lines, and prepped for re-concreting the removed areas. My job had an extra complication as I was remodeling a bathroom in the basement which needed some new rough-in work to be performed in parallel with already having that part of the slab removed for the waterproofing work. Nelson at All Aspects was very easy to work with and help coordinate this effort, the left that portion of the flooring exposed for the plumbers to come in and do their work, then followed up a few days later (for a small extra charge) to complete the drain tube/gravel installation and finish up the concrete work. BTW, Frankie's concrete finishing was fantastic, perfectly smooth, flat and flush with the existing flooring. For a relatively "invasive" process, All Aspects were quick, friendly, flexible, and did excellent work and very thorough clean up - all in all a pleasure to work with.

    Basement Remodeling Company
They did an excellent job completing the basement on-time, on-budget and in full agreement with what we had initially planned together. Basement Masters was neither the lowest bidder (-$3K) nor the highest bidder (+12K), but they were the most professional and reasonable of the five contractors I had asked for quotes. They worked with me to design the layout of the basement, guiding me through the regulatory requirements and engineering constraints. After we had designed and agreed upon the cost of the project, they began the project on time. The builders were very neat and professional, and the work was completed with minimal disruption to my home or others. The plumber and electricians were similarly very professional and have done a good job. Overall very happy with their work, and would recommend them for similar home-improvement projects.

Awesome job from start to finish. The owner of the company met with us personally, explained the process, answered our questions, and his workers were phenomenal: punctual, polite, and professional. Didn't leave a mark on a wall or the floor, they were so careful.

    Armored Basement Waterproofing
I've had basement water issues for years. I wasn't planning to deal with it, but we found a new house and decided to move. Now I was under a time crunch to get the existing house fixed and ready to sell. I called and spoke with Tara to get set-up for an appointment. Tara was great and answered all my initial questions. On estimate day, Jay (the owner) came out to my house and agreed to call me 30 minutes ahead of time so I could run home from work. Jay was already there when I arrived home. Jay did a full walkthrough both inside and outside of my house. Ultimately we decided on a new French drain along 2 walls and a sump pump. Jay also noticed a discoloration leak on the front wall and added remediation for that into the project. Chris led a team of 3 on construction day. They were on-time and very careful to keep the house clean. Chris reviewed Jay's write-up with me and jumped right in. Start to finish was about 5 hours and the house was left in great shape. From start to finish, Armored Basement Waterproofing was great. I would recommend to all my friends and family.

Very well. Instead of talking me into doing work, George showed me how our issue was less significant than I thought, and suggested we try some simple remediation methods for now, and then wait to see if we needed the expensive work. This put my mind at ease and probably saved us a lot of money and effort.

    Colonial Remodeling LLC
Absolutely stunning transformation in both look and color.  The previous cedar siding had severe and ongoing woodpecker damage.  The James Hardie siding replacement totally eliminated the woodpecker problem while giving our home an updated "new look."
Michael Shannon, project manager for Colonial Remodeling, is a true professional with respect to product knowledge, work detail, and customer relationships.  He provided us with excellent design insight to move forward with this project.  His work team was courteous, dedicated, efficient and hard-working.  The entire Colonial team treated our property as if it were their home.  The end product was a work of precision, in terms of both fit and finish.
We are 100% satisfied with Colonial Remodeling and would highly recommend this company.
