    Olympia Moving & Storage
Let me tell you it was HOT with 100% humidity, but that did not stop Florin and his crew. All three of them worked hard and were efficient. In fact, even though we were not completely prepared when they arrived, they finished a half hour earlier than anticipated. They were polite, respectful of us, our property, and our home. They were also patient with us and fun to work with.

    Potomac Moving Company
We moved with great ease, thanks to Potomac. They were prompt, and professional. When the leasing office failed to have the elevator available that I confirmed, they didn't let that stop them. I give them and A+. All items were placed in our new home, unbroken and reassembled. We definitely use them on our next move, Thanks, Jeff and the crew!

    Maryland Movers
The workers showed up exactly when they said the would. They were all very professional. They took care to wrap all items that needed it. Once the truck was loaded, they transported all my belongings to Ohio. My niece met them and said all the unpacking went great. She was very impressed with their professionalism. It was well worth it to hire them for my move and certainly took stress away from me. Highly recommend them.

    Two Marines Moving
This is the second time I have hired 2 Marine Movers. Both times I
have found them to be courteous, efficient, and through. From the first phone
call to the final handshake they were the epitome of professionalism. I will
definitely call again when the need arises.

    Pro100movers LLC
The move went very well.  Nothing lost and nothing broken.  Able to move some large and heavy items down and up narrow stairs.  They were very friendly and professional.  They had no problem moving furniture to different rooms to see if it "fit" better somewhere else.  Would definitely use them again, although I hope I don't have to.

    Great Scott Moving
I initially contracted another moving company to move my items from basement apartment to my new townhouse.  Unfortunately that company was not able to get my treadmill to the top level (converted spare bedroom into my home gym), which meant I had to try to find another company.  I came across Great Scott Moving initially via Yelp and then looked them up on Angie's List to compare views.  I contacted them late one evening and they got back to me the next morning asking that I call to arrange the move.  When I contacted them I spoke to Tom.  I explained what I needed done and Tom asked that I email pictures and measurements so he could assess whether it's something they could do.  I sent Tom pictures, video footage and measurements (treadmill and hallways).  He got back to me right away and said they are sure they can do it.  Three days later two men arrived at my home, took a look at where I needed to have treadmill moved and completed the move in less than 15 minutes.  The previous moving company I used had partially disassembled my treadmill during their attempt to move it.  Although the Great Scott movers weren't the ones to take it apart, they offered to help me put it back together.  With their help I was able to get it back together in much less time than had I done it alone.  They also made sure the mat under the treadmill was straightened out under the treadmill and the treadmill was properly laid on top of the mat.  Not only that, but they stayed to make sure it worked before they left!

    G&J Moving and Storage
I used G&J Moving almost two years ago when I moved from my two level townhouse to a temporary basement apartment. At that time they did a phenomenal job; so naturally when it was time to move to a more permanent residence the decision to use their services again was a no brainer - or at least that's what I initially thought.  The first time they moved me the crew they sent was more mature in age and did an excellent job moving all of my items, including my treadmill.  The crew they sent for my most recent move were three young men.  It was as if I had hired my younger brother and two of his friends to move me instead of professional movers.  They did a decent job moving most of my furniture out, but struggled with heavier items and most of all with my treadmill.  They didn't bring any tools with them, which meant scrambling to figure out what to do to get my treadmill fully assembled out of the basement apartment.  Finally they were able to angle it to make it through one of the larger doors.  I told them when we get to my townhouse I have tools they can use to remove the handrail.  It took all three of them to get my treadmill out of the basement apartment with frequent stops along the way.  When we got to my townhouse, I gave them tools and they removed the handrail from my treadmill in hopes that would make it easier to transport.  Even after removing it, they struggled to even get it into the bottom level much less to the top floor where I wanted it (I had most of my gym already set up in one of my spare bedrooms).  Most of the time they were at my house one of them commented over and over that no one puts a gym on the top floor, that it should go on the bottom level.  They even offered to move my lower level TV room to the top floor and bring my gym items downstairs! I explained again where I decided to have my gym and that the bottom level is already set up the way I want.  That should have been enough to stop the comments (and offers), but it wasn't.  At one point the lead mover contacted his manager to send pictures of the treadmill and my townhouse.  They said my townhouse is too narrow to move the treadmill upstairs and they could attempt it by trying to further dismantle my treadmill; however, the lead mover made it clear that his manager stated they would not be responsible if it no longer works after being put back together and did I want to proceed.  Absolutely not.  I wasn't confident they would be able to move it even after trying to disassemble it further.  Not to mention there wasn't much more dismantling they would do. Prior to hiring G&J I told them I had a treadmill that needed moving.  I told them the type of treadmill and also asked if they wanted to see pictures.  They declined to see pictures.  For the items they did manage to get into my house they dinged, scrapped, and marked my walls up doing so.  Not once did the manager speak to me or call me after knowing that my move did not go well.  The only upside is these young men were polite and like-able, but simply not equipped for my move.  Long story short I ended up hiring another moving company who sent two men and got my treadmill to the top level in less than 15 minutes.  Unfortunately that also meant I was out of pocket additional money to complete my move.

    Global Moving Systems LLC
Let me start by stating that this is the best moving company in the world! I have moved many times, including across state lines and have never hired a company better than Global Moving. The owner was attentive to details with well-trained staff prepared for specifics of move. He also provided follow-up after the move to ensure all went well. My move had many obstacles that could easily cause delays (no freight elevator, move apartment contents on shared, slow elevator from 4th floor, down hallway to exit near loading area) but nothing seemed to cause concern for the movers. The team included 3 well-trained professional movers that contacted me prior to arrival. They arrived on time and immediately ready to work. The team worked together moving boxes, wrapping and moving furniture, and overcame any obstacles, such as a slow elevator, with professionalism. I tried to assist by providing water and gator-aid on a hot day, but they rarely stopped or slowed down during the move-out. I think that I even accused them of being robots because of their super-human work ethic! The move-in was a few miles away at a house and the movers had no delay in arriving at the location. Upon arrival, they immediately began unloading all items and quickly placed in designated areas within the house. This included unwrapping and assembling all furniture. This is the best moving company you could ever want to hire. I would not hesitate recommending Global Moving to anyone with an upcoming move. I will definitely hire them in the future and will not consider anyone else.

    Friendly Movers
This was far and away the best moving experience I have had. First, the company was very easy to contact and their website is user friendly. Then the movers arrived on time the morning of the move. Even though I live on the top floor and was moving to another top floor apartment the movers never once complained. And there was NO extra charge! The movers were actually friendly and wrapped each piece of furniture quickly but also really well. The move was supposed to take 3 hours including travel time and they were just under three hours. They accept credit card payments. Oscar was the name of my main mover and he is wonderful! Both he and the other mover were fast and just incredibly nice. They also asked where to place each thing so I wouldn't have to rearrange later.

Overall, as I said a great experience. The cost is wonderful and they are truly friendly movers. I will use them again for my next move and I have already told all of my coworkers and friends about my experience. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

    JK Moving Services
We were extremely wary of having our things packed and moved by a company that was not of our own choosing.  We have some good friends who were moved by their company and the experience was not great as most of their furniture and valuable were damaged during the move.  However, this was far from the experience we had with JK Moving.  The man we had overlooking our whole move and driving the truck was amazing.  JK Moving has an awesome person working for them who cares about ensuring the customer's belongings are packed carefully and moved without damage.  He was very punctual which is always a positive thing when you are moving!  As we unpacked our belongings we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of care and precaution that was taken to ensure our belonging would incur no damage.
We had a local team that came to help pack up our house in South Carolina.  The team of three was fine but definitely did not move or pack with the same motivation as our lead mover.
The team that came to our house in the D.C. area was much better though.
The follow-up from the company was prompt and made us feel as though the company truly cared about the work that was being done by their company.
Overall, it was a great experience!  They are definitely pricey but if you want your move done right, this is the company to choose.
