It didn't go. I am not great about email and at first Mr Bonilla was very good and patient about answering my questions and waiting for my response. He, eventually called me. We had a nice chat and agreed on the scope of work and the price. I asked him to send me the written estimate. He agreed. Over a week later I still had not received an estimate. I left him an email via Angie's List. That was August 22nd. I have called and left him messages twice since then. It is now September 4th and no response. There were some additional things I could have added to the work if he had been interested. This idea of just not responding to someone is just disrespectful. I have trouble believing his is a successful business if this is how he handles his clients.

    Renaissance Restoration Inc.
This is the third time we have worked with Rene and Renaissance Restoration. Rene and his guys are a pleasure to work with, and they do high quality work. Work performed included: Repairing and painting walls in kitchen, family room, bathroom and laundry room Replacing track lighting with pendant lights with dimmer Power washing and painting large front porch floor and steps Replacing and painting a casement basement door. Rene is very accommodating with schedule, shows up when he says he'll be there, responds quickly to questions, and he and his team do beautiful work. We will definitely continue to look to Rene next time we need any carpentry, painting, or repair work.

    TYG Handyman Services
Fairly straightforward process. I messaged TYG over Angie's List, and got a response I believe within a day. His office is in College Park, which meant logistically, he could hop on over to my house to repairs easily, and that increased the flexibility when it came to coordinating schedules. I think he was on site within a week after I accepted his scope and estimate. Quality was good, and he texted me progress pictures when he reached milestones. He also coordinated and discussed details with my tenants who live at the property. And he did a follow up visit 2 or 3 weeks later to verify the new tile floor and toilet were set properly with no follow on issues. For future work in CP, I'll probably end up coming back to him. His pricing was reasonable and comparable to other contractors I've hired in the past for similar scale work.

    JTP Painting Co
I was really pleased with the work that Julio and his helper did. I had a tricky problem with the handrail in my staircase, and they came up with a good solution to get it installed safely. Their prices also seemed quite reasonable. However, it was really hard to get in touch with them. We had a scheduling failure, which resulted in me waiting around the house an entire day for nothing. When they did come after I rescheduled, they were running two hours late. I discussed having them come back for some follow-up work, but they never called me back after that. Bottom line, I would only recommend using JTP Painting for handyman services if you're willing to put in a lot of legwork to actually get them to come to your place. But they do quality work.

    Handyman At Your Command
Went well. Contractor was friendly and attentive, and did a great job. The price is expensive for $100 an hour so I had to show him all the repairs from outside. He forgot to trim the rose bush and pull some weeds growing on house.. More work needs to be done, but he was positive and gave good advice and gave me his business card offering to help again. Very nice.

    Handyman At Your Command
Rodolfo and Robert carried out every step in the all-day (single day) work process in an extremely professional manner. During his initial inspection, Rodolfo pointed out (and we agreed to) a new low-cost 'modernization' step in this home insulation replacement process, that had not been considered by the company that had originally built the house, but that we are confident has resulted in a permanent improvement to our home's insulation.

    Handyman At Your Command
It turns out replacing the attic stairs was a bigger job than expected. The work took extra time but they tried hard to minimize the price. The specialist were very nice, explained their work, and did good quality work. I like how another member of the company came to the house to check on progress throughout the day.

Smithwright was excellent.  I found Smithwright on Angie's List.  I own a rental property in College Park and wanted to prepare it for sale.  Over a six month period, I engaged Smithwright to fix many cosmetic and minor structural items.  Bill Smith was perfect for the job; he worked independently, helped me identify things that needed to be done; communicated what the expected expenses would be, and when things went over provided detailed explanations.  Best of all, he worked great with the tenants and got all the work done on the schedule I wanted to put the house on the market.  I was able to put my complete trust in him, and he delivered.  Thanks Bill!!!

    Priority One Construction
When my beloved 95 year old next door neighbor passed, I bought her little house built in the 1920's.  She hadn't done any work on the house since 1961 when she moved in.  I knew in general terms what i wanted to do but not how to accomplish my goal.
Than a friend introduced me to Joe Meehling and Priority One Construction.  We wound up gutting the entire hose, adding insulation and completely redesigning.  The kitchen, breakfast nook and living room were opened up and transformed from three rooms to one big one.  The bathroom was enlarged, completely redone with a shower.  The electricity was completely rewired.  Windows were all replaced.  Central air was installed.  Joe was patient and very helpful in working with me and providing practical advice.  He always responded to my questions.  Not only was his work on the job handled well, Joe also got permits for everything, including adding major structural support.  It saved my a lot of time and effort - which is exactly what I needed with such a large project.
The work was excellent.  Not only was it excellent, it was also done in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost.
Tenants have lived in the house for almost five years now and they have loved that little house and there have been no problems (OK, I had to hand tighten a socket under the sink one).
Since then Joe and Priority One have done a variety of jobs for me from as small as replacing a dishwasher to repairing my attic / crawlspace after a raccoon decided to take up residence ( a large creature that can and did cause massive damage).
As a homeowner and as the owner of a rental home, I am far more comfortable knowing that I can call on Joe Meehling and Priority One Construction for support when a job needs to be don and done right.  I continue to recommend his services to anyone I know that needs something done.

    Robert Stout's Handyman Service LLC
Robert Stout whose full name is Robert Walter Stout Jr. does construction work in Alachua County Florida, and the surrounding area. His business name is Robert Stout's Handyman Service LLC.
I employed him to do some work on my bathroom. That was a HUGE mistake! For one thing, he has a criminal record. His latest offense was in 2009 for trafficking in stolen property. Had I known that, I never would have let him near my house!!
To see his criminal record you can Google ''mugshot for Robert Walter Stout Jr.''
Robert talks a good game but doesn't follow through. The floor in my bathroom around the tub and the toilet was rotting out due to a toilet leak going unnoticed for quite some time. Robert was supposed to remove the rotted wood and repair it, and fix the leak. He was also supposed to rip out all the tile and lay down Pergo like wood flooring.
Robert charged me around $1200. I paid him half up front and then I paid him the balance when the work was 'completed.' I paid him the balance without first inspecting the job as I trusted him. That proved to be an error in judgment.
Robert's work ethic was horrible. He would never show up when he was supposed to and when he did he'd work for an hour or two and then leave instead of working a full day. On at least one occasion my tenants lost wages as they stayed home at my property waiting for Robert to show and he never did. Nor did he have the common decency to call. They had taken off of work to be there when he arrived.
Robert is someone who takes no pride in his work although his words would make you think otherwise. The flooring he put down is lifting up after less than a month. The floor sinks in two places which is very dangerous. The reason it sinks is he ran out of wood, and in those 2 places the plywood sheets don't connect to each other!
The tenants even told him they had extra wood. Apparently he couldn't be bothered. He never even connected the drain under the shower and all the water is draining underneath the home. Why was he called out to my home in the first place? Oh that's right, it was to repair a water leak!! How utterly ironic.
You can see the grass through the shower drain when you're in the shower. He was supposed to stop the toilet water leak. However, I must now hire a plumber. He was so incompetent with everything else, I don't trust he rectified the problem.
In order to install the flooring he had to take down the baseboard which he never bothered to put back up. His explanation was that I didn't pay for that. Really?!!! He also didn't bother to finish the edges of the floor around the entire bathroom. I gave him every opportunity to rectify my issues and he chose not to. He seemingly has no scruples. He will take any job regardless of whether he is qualified or not.
