    Complete Enhancement, LLC
He was very professional at first and came out to survey the area and assured they would not close up the ceiling without checking to make sure the noise was eliminated. What was supposed to be a one-two day job had me displaced from my bedroom for three weeks. Over five men came in and out over the course of a week and a half. They conducted all of their wood prep work in my house and did not cover my room to protect it from paint and dust. As a result it was so dusty and paint got on my furniture and pillows. They broke a perfume bottle which seeped into the carpet and was so strong that I had to air out the room for days. They left my bedroom in shambles and it took the owner days to get someone here to clean up. I eventually booked my own cleaning service. They never checked for the noise before closing the ceiling and the noise continues to this day. The Comolete Enhancement owner then changed his assessment of what the cause of the noise was and determined it was a different expensive job that would fix the problem. Needless to say we did not reemploy him.

    Handyman At Your Command
Rodolfo and Robert carried out every step in the all-day (single day) work process in an extremely professional manner. During his initial inspection, Rodolfo pointed out (and we agreed to) a new low-cost 'modernization' step in this home insulation replacement process, that had not been considered by the company that had originally built the house, but that we are confident has resulted in a permanent improvement to our home's insulation.

Smithwright was excellent.  I found Smithwright on Angie's List.  I own a rental property in College Park and wanted to prepare it for sale.  Over a six month period, I engaged Smithwright to fix many cosmetic and minor structural items.  Bill Smith was perfect for the job; he worked independently, helped me identify things that needed to be done; communicated what the expected expenses would be, and when things went over provided detailed explanations.  Best of all, he worked great with the tenants and got all the work done on the schedule I wanted to put the house on the market.  I was able to put my complete trust in him, and he delivered.  Thanks Bill!!!

Home Pro Roofing & Remodeling LLC
The work turned out really good, and only took a few additional hours. They did an excellent job, and they cleaned up well. However, I had to ask them several times to send me the invoice that I had paid in full.

    The Painting Company LLC
Very high quality job.  Extremely responsive.  Foreman Freddy is great--listens well, manages team, gets the job done and navigates unforeseen problems well.  Company offers fixed price service and 2-year guarantee including touchups.  It's expensive, but they are responsive, efficient, and high quality.  if you want something done well and quickly, I recommend them highly.

    Home Breakthrough LLC
From the very beginning we liked Francisco. One thing we looked for was someone who was able to understand the look we wanted and had specific steps that outlined the process and timeline of construction. We also looked for someone who was able to draw the concept on a computer program rather than hand drawing a sketch on paper.
Francisco is a knowledgeable, people-person and has great taste. We felt like we could trust him to make all of our ideas a reality and after about four months our home is amazing! We began with weekly Tuesday night meetings just to make sure everything was moving in the right direction. Between picking out kitchen cabinets to choosing bathroom toilets, Francisco listened, went to a few tile stores with us and provided great expertise because we had no idea ALL the decisions that we had to make. Kim and the crew (who we trusted to work in our home every weekday while we were at work) were on point. They moved our extremely heavy furniture, knocked down walls with absolutely no mess by the time we arrived home from work, and worked to accommodate our every need especially when we had a change of mind about a few things after it was installed. They were extremely neat and sometimes stayed late until we arrived home to give us updates on the renovation. We've added additional toe-kick lights under the kitchen cabinets and about 12 recessed lights which all had to be LED. We were so indecisive so many times and Kim was extremely patient with us.
The price was just right and it was a true pleasure working with very experienced people. We lived at home through the construction so we were able to see the process. We are very, very happy!

Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel and North PG
I usually have a running list of items that need work.  This is the third time I've used this company.  I've had three different people each time.  This time it was Marc.  They are always on time and they always do a good job.   What I'm especially pleased with is that besides doing a good job every time they have knowledge of lots of other jobs that they give opinions and prices on.   I will be using this company on many more things.

    Unicorp Home Energy Services
Originally, I called Unicorp for a price on replacing the siding on the second story of my house.  Mary Ellen looked at the house, and said, "you don't need new siding, you need a new roof."  I knew this was true, because the roof was starting to shed shingles, but I thought I could not afford to replace it.  I got a couple of estimates, and Unicorp came in with the best price.  They also had great reviews on Angie's List and in the Washington Consumers' Checkbook, so I decided to have the work done.

The crews were excellent, dropping off the materials in advance, and showing up on time on both the promised day and the following day (the work took two days.)  I had asked Mary Ellen if, while the crew was on the roof, they could remove the old, nonfunctioning television antenna.  When the crew was removing the shingles near the antenna, I noticed that it had not been removed.  One call to their office, and the antenna was down within 30 minutes!  I was very pleased with the customer service, both in advance, when keeping me updated with the start date and timeline, as well as on the days of the work.

The crew did a good job, covering my plants with tarps, and avoiding discarding the shingles onto the flowerbeds (my gardens are VERY important to me!)  There was some minor plant damage, but that is to be expected when doing such a major job.  I did a few snips with the pruning shears, and the shrubs were back to health. They also did a very good job cleaning up after the project was done.  I'll admit I am compulsive about nails in my car tires.  I found a couple of nails on the lawn (and weeks later, one mysteriously appeared right in front of my door after a storm.)  Unicorp offered to come back and sweep for nails again, but I declined, readily admitting that I would not be satisfied until I thoroughly inspected my yard, driveway, and street.  Unicorp did a much better job cleaning up than other contractors I have used (who shall remain nameless!)
I really enjoyed working with Mary Ellen (so nice to work with a woman!), the office staff, and the crew.  I have, and will continue to, recommend them to friends and neighbors.  When the time comes that I can afford to have my gutters and siding replaced, I will definitely call them.
By the way, the new roof is gorgeous!  It almost makes my vintage 1948 house look new!

Bill's estimate and quality of work were excellent from start to finish.  I used his services two times and would recommend him again to anyone needing a handyman.  He was always polite, on time, and he completed all work promised.  He is very mindful of cleanliness and ensuring the work requested was finished to my satisfaction.

    Perry Railworks Inc
I was very impressed with their quote and professionalism and would recommend them as far as they went. They had a focus on quality and new what they were doing and were very easy to work with. I ultimately did not go with them as I got a very good proposal from another company that was closer and just a little better. It was a tough choice and I would have been happy going with Perry Railworks had I not gotten the other quote.
