At Yappie Cuttery, we have built a reputation for outstanding service, workmanship, and client satisfaction. We provide all our services at affordable prices because we believe cost should never interfere with the quality of grooming your pets receive. We have a uniquely large grooming staff that allows us to accommodate next-day appointments, as well as walk-ins before 11:00am. Our groomers are not driven to rush the grooming process. At Yappie Cuttery, all pets receive the care and attenti...

AYappies provided excellent service to my 17-year-old chihuahua. She hates getting her nails cut. They took their time and let me hold her so she would feel more comfortable. I highly recommend the service at Yappies. All of the negative reviews seem to be for boarding, which is not a service Yappies offers--this was the vet who shared their old building.

CNot so great. I’m writing this review at the request of the company which I found odd. After several email exchanges I could not get a straight answer on how much a bath and haircut would be. I found the website confusing as it emphasized various “bath” packages, but none combined with a routine haircut. The best answer I got was several emails down the line - that the “base service” was a “full bath and blowdry” and that haircuts were “$30 additional fee per dog” followed by another email saying that cuts “run from $80 to $130 depending on the size of the dog”. I felt like I was getting a different answer with each email so decided not to use this company.

AThe Owners are hands on. The staff is well trained, dedicated and caring. The facility is clean and safe. The groomers are gentle and do a good job. Individual care of the dog's specific needs and temperament is always given. The dogs are well cared for and happy there and love to go back!

AI have been going to the Animal Medical Center of Watkins Park for 15 years now with multiple dogs (and a cat) ranging from newly whelped puppies all the way up to my senior dogs and their final moments. The entire staff is incredibly attentive, kind, and caring, and the facility is always very clean. It's not easy to find a veterinarian you trust when you have a dog with special handling needs. Dr. Maturo and her entire staff have always helped make our visits go as smooth as possible. Don't hesitate to make an appointment. I highly recommend them!

ADog likes going there. Gets excited to go in and anticipating attendant coming out to get her. Gets excited when she sees me packing up her stuff to go to "sleep-away camp" when we are going on a trip. Equally happy to see us at the end of either a daycare or a boarding period. Other dogs seem similarly comfortable coming and going. I figure the dog knows if it's a good place or not. Few employees stay for long, but so far, most of them have seemed to have gentle manner with the dogs. There's no doggie cam, but again, if the dog's happy, things must all be fine. Dogs are crated for an afternoon rest period and at night for boarding. They do get short walks during the day, in addition to an outdoor play area.

P.A.W.S. (formerly Glymont) was purchased by Dr. Parkin and his wife Claire on Valentines Day of 2015. Since the purchase, Dr. Parkin, Claire, and staff have worked hard to revamp the current clinic. Upgrades can be seen throughout the building, as well as in our staffs skills and customer service. We are open 7 days a week, 8am - 7pm, and offer grooming and boarding on-site. Come see how we're different.

APAWS has an excellent staff and top-notch Vets. From the minute you walk in the door, you and your pet are treated promptly and with respect. Their wait times are very reasonable, and your pet is treated gently and with great care. All your concerns are addressed. I can’t say any more strongly how much I value Dr. Quigley, who has been taking care of my pets for many years. Dr. Parkin made sure to introduce himself to me and my pet so we would both feel comfortable with him if Dr. Quigley was unavailable. He has treated my pet on occasion, and I would highly recommend him as well.

I have been grooming for 13 yrs. I started my grooming career in Maryland where I groomed in several different shops training under some of the most experienced master groomers in the state. Because of my wide experience I take pride in grooming all breeds of dogs and cats, in some shops I was the only groomer to handle cats. I have built an excellent reputation for treating animals as if they were my own. My customers are loyal and I work hard to satisfy their individual needs. Since I ...

ASeveral years ago, one of our neighbors who owned a labradoodle, mentioned that she had used Kelli Horner for years, and was delighted with her service and expertise. Not long after this recommendation, the groomer we were using became ill and would be out for a number of months, providing an opportune time for us to make an appointment with Kelli. On grooming day, I arrived at the shop slightly after 8:00 am with Cleo and some sample pictures showing what we were looking for (there is no standard grooming protocol for labradoodles). Kelli looked at the pictures closely, asked many detailed questions, and made notes on her client card. Needless to say, I was impressed with her desire to provide the grooming we were looking for. When Cleo was picked up a few hours later, she looked beautiful, and had clearly enjoyed her stay. (Well-behaved dogs are allowed to socialize). At this point, our labradoodle has had 23 groomings with Kelli, at 9 to 12-week intervals (starting 5/14/15). Kelli is an unusual groomer in that she keeps detailed notes on her clients, allowing her to produce consistent and exceptional groomings each time Horner’s Corner moved in 2018 to her current location at 370 Maple Avenue West, Suite #3, Vienna VA 22180, (across the street from Amphora); there is plenty of parking in the back of the building complex). We are so grateful that a labradoodle-owning neighbor recommended Kelli, and we have been so delighted, we recommend her whenever possible. Thanks Kelli!

AGroomingvilleThey did a really good job! They knew what they were doing. The price range is AMAZING! The job they did, with that price honestly blew my mind because for the job they did, it would’ve been $90-$120 maybe. I got it done for way less! Honestly I will go from now on to their place.- K A.

APAMPERED PETS CURBSIDE GROOMINGDawn was great! A little bird recommended her and what a treat! I sent her a text and she was quick to respond. Within minutes we had a plan for her to come to my house. We talked about exactly what we needed for our little King Charles and she delivered. No more grinch feet! For anyone with anxious or shy pups--this is the route to go. He was ready to go after about an hour and a half. He even said goodbye to Dawn which is always a good sign. Highly recommend!- Lauren S.

AShroeder ShearingI’ve used Shroeder Shearing at least 2-3 times a year for the past 8 years. Twice a year she shears my goats and then a couple times a year she’ll stop by to trim their hooves. She always does a great job. Could I trim the hooves myself? Sure. But I value having an experienced shearer looking at my animals and offering advice or support. I’ve learned a lot from Anne over the years. She always puts the welfare of the animals first. Highly recommend her. I have a couple animals that are pretty unruly. She never lets it faze her.- David V.

DANNANDALE PET SPAOur dogs were dropped off at 9 am and were ready at 2:30 pm. They looked good but were lethargic and acted drugged and traumatized the rest of the day. Our youngest dog had 2 bleeding toes and three others with hangnails from the nail clipping, as well as a bothersome sore on his stripped tail. The next day he refused to walk and the sore developed into a hot spot requiring a vet visit. He is now on antibiotics and anti-itch medication. The front desk person wore a mask, but the groomers did not.- John W.
