Landscaping reviews in Clarksburg

  • I'm super happy! My only regret is that I didn't take a before picture of my lawn. I had been trying to fertilize and overseed on my own with products from Home Depot but my lawn just wasn't responding. I've been using Blades of Green for about a year now, and the results have been great. They've been a great company to deal with, and I highly recommend them.

  • I selected Great American Landscapes because they worked with me to find the right solution to correct a flawed egress. Casey was great to work with and the team of installers did a fantastic job. Each associate of Great American Landscapes was polite, professional and respectful. My yard looked so much better when they were done. I would definitely hire them again.

  • Everything is good except one time I expected a call after an issue but they promised will fix the issue next time.

So far they have been okay. I have only used them for 6 months so I will know more next summer.

  • We have been using them every year to fertilize and prune our trees and what-have-you. They are a pretty big national company. I have used them for, like, 20 years. I think they are traded on the New York Stock Exchange. I am president of the home owner's association and we have a lot of trees in the neighborhood and there is some kind of virus going through this entire county of Maryland. The county contracted with them to take care of some things so then we decided to contract with them too. They have an excellent reputation. We have been dealing with them since about 2001. There are about 90 trees here. I just know the district manager, John Wright. He has been with them for, like, 20 years. They did not charge us anything for the consult. I think it is because of the nature of the relationship and the years we have used them. They are professional. Problems always arise but the thing is they have a solid management structure so that if a problem does arise you go up the food chain and management gets on top of it right away. It is a professional company and I would recommend them to anyone. I used them in a previous home I lived in. I have been working with them since 1991. I can't think of anything bad about them. Anybody else would have charged us $150 for the consultation. They are a professional company; everybody has cell phones and pagers. They text you if somebody is going to be 15 minutes late. They send email follow ups with hard copy letters. They are on top of things. This is a straight A company. It is not a franchise company.

  • I have used them personally for over 20-something years. The homeowner association I belong to has used them for over 15 years. I think probably the fact that I am on the board of directors has had a lot to do with it. I have to bid them out and I have compared their pricing. It is a once a year service.

  • Great work and customer service from the start. I paid for quality work. Very skilled professionals by a general contractor. They will get more business from me in the fire. It was great working with Rodolf. Excellent customer service.

  • I could not have asked for a better provider.  They performed all of the work I requested very well in a prompt, efficient manner.  They were very hard working.  Reliable. We communicated well. The price was more than fair. I highly recommend this provider. I am having them come back to do more work in the weeks ahead.  Do not hesitate to hire them.

  • Dave Evans came to my home and provided me with a written estimate for a complete landscaping spruce-up. The first part included the clean-up, weeding, pruning, edging, and dividing perennials. The team did a very nice job, and were polite and efficient. Before leaving, they watered my newly divided day lillies and helped me get my 50-foot hose into the plastic holder I had purchased for it.
Part two will include adding a walkway in my back yard, fixing my picket fence, and adding some new shrubs and perennials to make my landscaping more appealing. Stay tuned for the review!

  • I had some frost damage to trees at my home and wanted to have Bartlett inspect and suggest a plan of action for the damage. After arranging for Mike Burke to come to my home May 8th I was contacted a few days later to reshedule for the following Friday May 15th. I was going to be out of town, but I was reassured that I didn't need to be home for Mike to inspect the trees. I waited for a report or estimate to arrive, but after almost two weeks I called their office to inquire regarding status of the inspection. I left Mike a message and followed up with another a few days later. Now an additional two weeks have passed and I still have yet to receive a condition report , estimate or return phone call. Today, June 8th, I emailed my original contact, Kim Actis, to inform her that I would no longer need their services and described my lack of service.

  • I don't know what the deal is with these folks. It took quite some time and effort to get them to show up. I had to go back and forth with them several times with phone tag then messages through Angie's List while I was away on business. They seem to not want to use email for some reason but for me personally, that is the best way to communicate. This does not pose a problem most of the time for other business I conduct.
When they did show up and send a proposal, they did not give me what I asked for. When I messaged them, they did respond with ok we'll come back. But then they showed up yesterday without making an appointment first. I had to tell the guy face to face that we'd already given the business to someone else.
So I can't really say anyone was unprofessional or that they didn't or wouldn't do a good job. I didn't get that far with them. What I will mention is that their proposal was just a price quote. No details on anything that would have been done had I hired them. I think in the landscaping business it is better if you have a detailed proposal listing clearly what work is to be done so both sides know what they are signing up for.
