Our heat had stopped working, I explained the issue, he figured out how to make the schedule work, called me prior to arrival, identified and completed a temp fix, and then defined a path for a longer fix. Very pleased!

    Could not be happier with All American's service. It's rare these days to have a company exceed expectations, but All American certainly did so. I called on a Sunday and Scott arrived Monday morning. I described the issue and without any unnecessary fussing around, he went straight to the problem at the outside compressor unit and had it fixed in 20 minutes. Price was very reasonable. I'm going to sign up for regular spring and fall services from these guys.

    FOLEY MECHANICAL INC
    I scheduled with Foley Mechanical to work on hooking up our radiators. The lady who answered the phone assured me that they could handle our project (hooking up 5 radiators) and gave us an appointment 3 weeks out. Yesterday, Brian showed up and told us that he could not hook up any of our radiators and left. Foley Mechanical may do some things well, but cannot handle radiators at all and they may waste your time (in our case 3 weeks).

    Burt and Brooks arrived on time, were very friendly and worked hard to get the job done as quickly as possible, but without rushing. The informed me that our gas fireplace had not been properly cleaned at the prior maintenance appt and apologized that their colleague had not completed the service as he was supposed to. They took extra time to correct this error. When it came to the AC unit, they performed the required maintenance per our service plan, but also made recommendations for the purchase of a new unit. Each of my options was explained to me in detail so I could make the best choice for my home.

    Work was done properly and as quoted and I assumed the invoice went straight to the owner. Apparently not as I didn't receive it until A YEAR LATER; I told them that there would be a delay as the owner was traveling. Then a week later we need emergency service and initially it was a hard "no" because of the past due balance despite the fact that I was willing to be sure this was covered up front and pay OT rates. Over $50,000 has been paid to this company over the last decade with no other delays in payment so was rater annoyed. Full disclosure, they did email back and were willing to come out but apparently I have more allegiance to them than they have to us. They do excellent work, always to code or beyond but can be pricey and (generally) their field staff is well trained, personable and knowledgeable if not punctual, but the office...eh PS - if you purchase the Eagle Agreement be sure to confirm end date. I always thought it was 365 days from the date of purchase but apparently it's the calendar year as it was purchased in January 2017 and I was told it expired 12/31/2017.

    Sila gets a D because they���re greedy and anti-competitive. It would have been an F except for the friendly serviceman. Our furnace died on a weekend, but a worker showed up for $200. He jiggled a wire and the furnace came on, but he said it will soon fail. His rough estimate to install a new circuit board was $550. I called the office on Monday to ask for the catalog number of the part so I could get a competitive bid. They won't do that because it���s ���policy.��� They won't tell me the part number. What purpose does their ���policy��� serve except to prevent me from getting another bid? Either I pay them their new price of of an additional $700 to fix it or I pay for another company to come out and tell me the part number before they can give me their competitive estimate. I paid Sila good money for that very information! Think about it. The only conceivable purpose for their so-called ���policy��� is anti-competitive greed. Are there any more unwritten Sila ���policies?��� When Sila says ���policy,��� it translates to ���if you don't like it, go stuff it.��� If only I'd known���

    When our central heating failed, I looked to Angies List to find providers in the area that were fair-priced and responsive. I have been very pleased with Tucker's AC - they took the time to listen to my concerns, including the fact that we were planning for a potential renovation that would significantly impact the required heating capacity. They provided several scenarios with pricing, and once selected they installed promptly. We have since signed an annual maintenance contract and I have been very pleased with their service - in particular, they are willing to service an overhead furnace unit that BG&E wouldn't touch (it is admittedly hard to gain access to) and, when our AC system went out over the summer during an extreme heat wave, they suggested that we purchase two portable AC units which they would then BUY BACK from us. Which they proceeded to follow through on, collecting the two units and issuing a check back to us. That was over and beyond the call of duty, but speaks to their commitment to customer service. Sometimes responsiveness has been an issue when I have a question, but when I have an issue / emergency, they are on the ball and I am able to speak with everyone necessary all the way to Mike Tucker himself. Plain and simple: it's really well run operation.

    I was delighted that a technician could come out the same day to look at our Aprilaire dehumidifier that we purchased from a Ohio distributor. He was first rate -- very knowledgeable and personable. The unit is now running smoothly. If we have further issues, I'll certainty be calling Home Air Services again.

    They're pretty pricey. The quality is excellent. They're very responsive. They're all great. We've probably used them for 15 years, and I would say the best thing that they did was remove the compressor outside, and it was up and running again. They found the problem and fixed it without us buying a new one. i really like that. Since then we've replaced both the upstairs and downstairs air conditioner and they were great to work with. Another person told me to replace the AC unit because it was not working. Honesty is the way to go because they have a loyal customer.
