  • Dale Darden owns Service First and has been in the car business for over 20 years. He was recommended by a friend of mine several years ago to perform headlight restoration, which he did an amazing job on. The recent work he did replacing/painting the rear bumper was phenomenal. My car is a 2003 and he matched the paint perfectly. The front bumper needed painting as well and again, the color match is spot on and looks incredible. The body work done on the rear quarter panel and wheel well is perfect also. I've attached before and after photos so you can see how much of a difference the headlight restoration made, as well as the wheel well damage and repair. The photos speak for themselves but I can't say enough about the professionalism and expertise given by Dale and his team. Although located on the Eastern Shore, they are just a hop and a skip over the Bay Bridge in Chester. SO worth it!

  • They are honest. They always give you estimates on the work before it is done. You can trust that your car is going to be safe and secure when you leave it there. They make sure that your car looks just as good when you get it back as it did when you dropped it off. Everybody smiles and they treat you like they know you. They are very gracious and professional. They are nice, trustworthy, and everything that you would ever look. I also like them because they are a local mom-pop store, and they treat you like family.

  • Shortly after dropping the SUV for an oil change and service on this leveling problem, they called to inform me that BOTH of two load level sensors were apparently damaged (with only 70K miles on the vehicle) and that the parts alone cost $447 EACH to replace. Several inquiries ensued: - What makes these or ANY sensors worth nearly $450 each? Combined, that 2% of the cost of the vehicle new! (That's just what they cost) - How can both fail at the same time? (Can't tell you, the tech just said they are both bad) - Can I simply disable this leveling system since I don't load the vehicle enough to take advantage of it? (No) - OK, then save and provide me the old parts so I can see what a $450 switch looks like On an unsolicited, follow-up courtesy call after the vehicle was returned, I was questioned about my experience - which I reported as described herein - and asked if I'd like a manager to contact me for further discussion of my concerns, to which I responded 'Absolutely, I need to understand why these simple parts were so expensive.' To date (1 month later) I have not received a callback from anyone at the dealership but I will be paying them a visit soon, with my $900 worth of failed switches in hand, to see if the GM can offer me a better explanation. I will report back the results of that meeting. I have been ecstatic with the quality of this SUV but service and parts have been consistently and disproportionately expensive. Judging from the (at his time only) other review of Sheehy Lexus on this List, which is very positive, I hope this was an anomalous situation and there is a rational explanation for the cost of these parts other than 'that's what we can get away with charging for them.' But so far, I feel as though I was grossly taken advantage of... stay tuned.
