    GloRem
We could not be more satisfied with our new basement. Eugene, Viktor, and the rest of the staff were professional and extremely hard working. Any time workers finished up for the day, they always made sure to clean the site before leaving. Our project was completed on time and within our modest budget. I had a lot of questions throughout the project and had direct access to Viktor our project manager who was very patient with me and responded very promptly to my many texts ;) A++++

    R & A Home Improvement LLC
We found out about this company from a coworker and hired them to repair our basement after the flood in May 2018. They repaired the walls, put down a new floor, and replaced all of the moulding around the doors and the baseboards. They did such a fantastic job, that when we something happen in the kitchen and we decided to do some repairs we hired R and A again. The scheduling worked out that we would be on vacation when he had an opening so we left him with a key to the house. When we returned, all of the repairs were done and the kitchen was clean with no trace he had been there. For this job we had an old wall exhaust fan removed and the resulting hole filled in, plaster wall repair, a doorway opening that is the walkway to the dining room and the space over the bar all repaired and squared off, electrical moved so we could plug the over the counter microwave into an outlet in a cabinet, moved another outlet in the plaster wall, and a bunch of other miscellaneous repairs. Once these were done we decided to finish off a remodel of the rest of the kitchen. They took out the bar, pulled up the multilayered linoleum, put down a new sub-floor, leveled the floor, laid a new floor, installed cabinets, put in a dishwasher and garbage disposal, took care of all of the plumbing needs, repaired the plaster wall where water had leaked, installed a back splash and took care of all other miscellaneous repairs that were needed. Every time with every job they were on time, came to work each day until the job was done (no putting our job on hold to work on something else in between), cleaned up after themselves, and stored their equipment neatly out of the way. We have a few other projects in mind and we wouldn't hesitate to call R and A for them.

    GloRem
I cannot recommend Glorem highly enough. After what was a catastrophic flood in our basement, and a host of contractors offering to provide us with very little in return for a whole lot of money- Glorem was a blessing. Eugene understood the difficult and quite protracted problems we were dealing with. Before the rebuild could begin we had to finish tearing down what was left, and then go through the process of asbestos mitigation and the disruptive installation of a French drain system to prevent another flood from happening. Eugene understood the steps and the time it would take to complete them. He was completely fair in his pricing, and never blinked at the hurdles imposed by our overreaching mortgage company. His team was professional, personable, and thorough. They talked us through everything that was going to happen. They also clearly spelled out the time frame, the payment schedule, and then worked with us when unexpected course corrections happened. The end result was phenomenal- beyond what we could have envisioned on the day of the flood. Eugene and Glorem restored our faith in good people doing honest, quality work. Pride of workmanship is the hallmark of this team. I would not hesitate to hire them again if I needed work done on my home.

Stop Leak Foundation Restoration Specialists Inc
Stop Leak installed French drains in our basement. This involved excavating an area around the inside basement perimeter, installing a perforated pipe, stone, channel cove, sump pit, pump and drain, and re-concreting. The crew was professional, knowledgeable and technically skilled. This is a physically demanding job and crew members worked steadily as a team to get the job done. Their pride in their work was evident by the impressive end product. They cleaned up each day during the 2 day job. We highly recommend StopLeak to anyone who has issues with a leaky basement. It was a pleasure working with everyone in this company.

    CAMEO CONSTRUCTION
Ralph with Cameo Construction was easy to work with and understood what I wanted to do. He listened to my needs and offered sound advice that was professional and budget friendly. We required drywall hanging and finishing, pre-hung door installation and carpet installation. All services were scheduled and Ralph kept in contact through the project with arrival times and follow ups once the work was done. Very satisfied with the overall service and results.

    Ameri-Dry Waterproofing
Had difficulty nailing down date for crew to come out and install new sump pump & trench. Once we nailed it down, they arrived at said date of service and did the work quickly, efficiently, and professionally. However, they left a lot of dust and smeared mud on the floor of our basement. It took almost 4 hours to fully mop everything up and wipe everything down.

    Value Dry Waterproofing
The previous homeowners had our basement waterproofed through Value Dry with a french drain system and we had the warranty transferred to our names. Value Dry warrants on their website that "A waterproofed basement and peace of mind are the most important benefits of working with Value Dry. You can count on our promise of safety, quality and long-term effectiveness." Well, after our basement flooded with three inches of water during a recent storm, we called them to request they come out and inspect that the french drain and other waterproofing measures they undertook were not malfunctioning and the cause of the flooding. Obviously, with 6K+ invested in waterproofing measures through Value Dry, one would hope not to come home to inches of water in the basement. They assured us they would call us back, and twice we had no response. Finally, we got a hold of someone who said they would come out and inspect, but that if it turned out not to be their fault (according to them, I guess?) they would charge us a $230 fee to visit. Oh why thank you, what peace of mind you've offered us, Value Dry. According to their website, you're welcome to a free inspection to determine whether they can help you with waterproofing, but heaven forbid you need to call on them after a flooding incident, they'll be charging you an absurd amount for someone to come visit and likely pass the buck.

    Strickland Landscape
I called last week and scheduled an appointment for today (6/11/18) at 4pm. No one showed or called. Got their name from a recommendation on Nextdoor in Howard County. Plan to post their poor professionalism there, too.

    Tomas Brothers Home Improvement
They remodeled our walk-in basement and did a great job. We now have a handicapped accessible bathroom, a lovely utility room, a bedroom/study, and a repainted playroom. Some highlights include: 1. Thoughtful and tactful input on the design. They got my input before framing the new rooms, and helped me imagine the space so that I could see the originally planned utility room would be too small 2. Extreme patience with finicky decorating decisions. I changed tack several times mid project. I decided to use vinyl wood instead of carpet, I bought four different sets of light fixtures and then changed my mind repeatedly, and came up with a fancy and complex arrangement of tile in the bathroom. Each time they simply updated the labor and cost estimate and rolled with the changes. I also changed out the plan several times for the shower seat. Each time they gave intelligent feedback and rolled with the changes. 3. My son had an unexpected severe asthma reaction to some of the dusty parts of the remodeling. They worked to minimize the dust with extra filters on the ventilation system and changed the plastic sheeting arrangement. It helped. 4. The quality of the detail in the work is great. I am a very particular person. I like things to be clean and square--and they did an excellent job with all the details, especially the tile and the trim. 5. They cleaned up after themselves very well. 6. A few weeks after the job was done we found a few minor things--a light switch had gotten painted over and stuck, for example. They came out and fixed it quickly, and also installed my fourth set of light fixtures with no complaint. 7. Also the bathroom looks like it's from a magazine now. And the utility room. An attractive utility room is a whole new level of wow, and I've got it. Would hire again.

They were horrible. They wanted to know what I could afford instead of giving me a quote. My insurance adjuster was here also and couldn't believe the conversation. I bought a big deal package, No additional charges were charged.
