This is a challenging review to write because my experience and my spouse's experience have been incredibly different. I like Katie Sirianni, the PA whom I see at this practice. My wife (who has a different last name) was seeing Dr. Castro, who left the practice. We have been completely unable to get the practice to assign my wife to a new doctor, which is disappointing. We've called and requested appointments, but haven't been able to make them because "the practice needs to assign a new doctor" (and have been told the office will call back, which never happens). I've asked in person for the office to call my wife. We've used the "contact us" web form and received no response. Everyone at the office seems very nice and caring, so I have no idea why it's been impossible to get my wife an appointment when she's an existing patient. I don't wish to continue with a practice that ignores my spouse, so I'm in the process of looking for a new doctor. I hope that the practice will read this Angie's List review and remedy the problem, since no other method has seemed to work.

Dr. Magday has been my Primary for a few years now.  His style of medicine is an older style meaning he doesn't prescribe anything that he doesn't think you need as opposed to most physicians these days who prescribe to keep the patient happy.  However, there is no follow-up when tests are preformed.  Even if the result is negative, it would be nice to receive a phone call saying everything is ok.  My OB/GYN has told me more about my health in one visit/follow-up than Dr. Magday has told me in years of going to him.
The office is small and very outdated.  He needs a new receptionist as well.  She has the personality of a wet sponge.  I am used to office staff that represents their boss in a friendly and outgoing manner.  When I go there, I talk to her as little as possible.  I was fortunate enough to be there one day when another lady was filling in for the regular receptionist (I can only assume it was his wife or one of his daughters) and it was a completely different experience.  She was friendly and had a smile on her face and seemed genuinely happy to be there and happy to see his patients.  His normal receptionist on the other hand leaves one to feel like we are interrupting her day by asking any kind of question.
When this form asked if I would "use this provider/practice again in the future" I answered yes because I just don't have the time right now to look for another provider.  However, I may call my health insurance to see if I can use my GYN as my primary.

Due to my insurance, I had to go to the Columbia office and see Dr. Bullock. The office was clean and friendly although not all that private. I have noticed with newer doctor's offices that you can hear what is being said in the next room. In fact, my exam room must have been next to one of the office used by the physicians to dictate patient notes and I heard every word. If contractors are going to build doctor's offices, privacy should be one of the issues in the design phase.
Anyway, back to the case in point. Dr. Bullock was very professional and respectful. He took x-rays (which my primary did not) and referred me for physical therapy. He even allowed me to pick my own PT office from a list in my area. We shall see how my return visit goes (I don't think PT is working).

Steinmetz Medical Associates have about six doctors there and lab work and other things done right in their office. They also strive more for the holistic viewpoint, as well. They recommend certain vitamins. They also actually listen to what you are concerned about, as well as giving you different ideas for different medications that you may or may not have issues with. They're really geared towards taking as few medications as possible and still maintaining your health. They do family medicine and OB/GYN. I've seen old patients to young patients there. My doctor was very thorough in making sure she got my medical history, as well as people in my immediate family. She's great, as far as follow-ups. You can make appointments on line and look online to see what the results of any testing was. I've seen another doctor there for female problems. She was able to fit me in to see her when I had an emergency. She's very knowledgeable and gave me a referral to a specialist. She helped me through a tough time. I like them a lot. They're very responsive. They definitely care about the people that they're caring for. Their office is actually the top floor of an apartment complex, so that makes it different.
