  From start to finish, these guys were awesome. John Roda sold the work and was so professional without all the BS marketing that you get with most outfits. I asked for three estimates and he laid out each one along with his recommendation. No pressure, just calm confident presentation. The crew arrived at 7:00 am and were cleaned up and gone by 5:00 pm. A guy named Nick was the crew chief and kept me informed every step of the way especially when additional (minimal plywood and fascia board) work was reqired. The roof looks fantastic and we couldn't be more pleased. Next project is siding and we will most likely go with American Home!

  Less than a year after having the roof replaced, I currently have a leak in my family room after it rains. I requested a water test to see if it was the flashing and that was never done. They tried to do everything else, but the water test to see if it is the flashing. I made an appointment for another roofer to come take a look at it and he informed me that it is most likely the flashing on the roof line and not the siding as Homelife proclaims it to be. It has been over a month with this same issue of water leaking into my home. Also, it took over 4 months after I signed the contract to even get the work done and that should have been a clue for me. The contractors they used I believed were subcontractors and not full company employees. They destroyed my lawn and I reported that to the owner, but nothing ever happened with that and now I have a brand new roof with a leak. The guy they keep sending out is doing more harm to my home then good. My home was built in 2001 and I never had a leak, until Homelife came to replace my roof in 2018. This has been a nightmare for my family and I in 2019.

  After receiving a thorough roof inspection from American Home Contractors, I was informed that I needed to replace my roof. My inspection was performed by Chuck Fistek. It was detailed, photos were taken, and measures were taken to temporarily resolve the issues until the roof was replaced. I was able to schedule an estimate for the next day. I met with Steve Borsa. He walked me through the process, worked with me to select the appropriate (high quality) shingles, and even called my HOA to ensure that we were selecting the appropriate color. In less than week, I had a brand new roof! It was installed in 1 day and was a seamless process. I received outstanding service from both Chuck Fistek and Steve Borsa. They were both knowledgeable and skilled and made the process go very smoothly. They are a testament to the service American Home Contractors provides and you will not be disappointed!

  I was very pleased with my gutter cleaning service. I like the fact that Russel (Technician) took before and after photos of my gutters. He also cleaned up all the leaves that were removed from my gutters. He made a couple of suggestions but there was no strong push to sell me any other services. I would use this company again, based on my positive experience with this service.

  My positive experience with this company began before I even interviewed them. We wanted to do a full house residing - capping, siding, and gutters. Bowie Siding and Roofing was not on our radar, particularly, until we mentioned to different friends what we were hoping to do. Their name was consistently given to us with positive feedback. We looked at four different companies to get estimates. One did not call us back. Of the other three, one was a very large regional company, and the other two are local to Bowie. Frankly, Bowie Siding and Roofing won us over in the interview/ estimate process, first because the owner took time - nearly two hours - to measure, evaluate, explain, and answer my many, many questions. He was knowledgeable and experienced. Their estimated price was reasonable - well lower than one other high quality local firm, and right in line with the large regional firm. And they were as good as their word. They stayed in communication with us, being up front that it was going to be several months before they could get to the house, and then letting us know the timetable as they had to wait for rain. The work was well done, and done quickly - about a week to do EVERYTHING external to my house - which looks great. The house has been warmer, too, because of the process they use to insulate behind the siding - my heating bills did go down a little this winter, though I had the thermostat up. They also cleaned up after themselves well. They were - and have been - responsive in dealing with two minor issues that have to do with external wiring work we were having done at the same time the siding was going up. In short, I've become one of the people who recommend them to my friends when I hear that they need home improvement work done. I am grateful for the work they did, and love the results. Could not be happier.
