    Cyrus Construction LP
Cyrus put in a basement apartment which included: 1 and a half baths, a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, laundry room, living room, dinette and a large deck. The quality of the work is excellent. The foreman and his team are very professional and pay close attention to detail and the quality of the workmanship. They take pride in a job well done. I couldn't ask for higher quality. They left the area very clean when they were done. They're not the fastest workers, but that's because they take the time to do it right.

    KBR Kitchen & Bath
Excellence, perfection, and quality best describes KBR Kitchen and Bath of Bethesda, Maryland. After meeting with four top (A) rated companies from Angies List for kitchen estimates, KBR was the only company to provide an actual (kitchen design in 3D format), while other companies submitted worded descriptions devoid of any creatively or imagination. KBR sent kitchen designer Catherine Harvey to my home, who immediately offered functional design ideals, sketches, material guidance, and budgetary advice to support the best design. Mrs. Harveys knowledge of construction and materials was beyond impressive, to include her artistic design execution. As a result, Mrs. Harvey submitted a 4-page kitchen design estimate complete with a 3D design illustration, pricing, and additional sketches. The type of professional estimate you would expect after watching DYI television or the Home and Garden channel (awesome). I immediately hired KBR of Bethesda to renovate my kitchen. After accepting the estimate, I met with Mrs. Harvey at KBR Bethesda headquarters to pick out my materials and to sign the finial contract for construction. Mrs. Harvey presented four designs of top quality material within my budget (see photos) with additional material options. Next, I selected my design and then read over the contract for construction. The contract was very well written, which covered start and completion dates, a detailed construction outline, materials, and flexible dates for unforeseen emergencies. What is more, Mrs. Harvey explained my next meeting would be with project manager Adam Salniturk, who would conduct a walkthrough of the kitchen and introduce me to the construction tech. Project manager Adam Salniturk conducted a comprehensive walkthrough of my kitchen and the construction process, while introducing me to my construction tech Carlos Chicas. Mr. Chicas provided construction updates each day explaining his work and progress. As a result, the kitchen project finished ahead of schedule by 1 and a half weeks (outstanding job). KBR of Bethesda surrounds themselves with a very eclectic group of talented people. People that take pride in their work and care about customer needs. Mrs. Harvey proved to be an exceptional designer, Mr. Salniturk was a firsthand manager, and Mr. Chicas exceptionally talented in every area of construction; each demonstrated great teamwork, pride and coordination. Talent like this is hard to find in todays home improvement climate. If you want to do good business, I highly recommend KBR Kitchen and Bath of Bethesda. (Im hiring them back to renovate my master bathroom next year)

    Reyes Construction & Design LLC
They did an excellent job. I'd definitely recommend Cesar Reyes Construction company. In fact, I'm going to hopefully have them also refurbish my outdoor deck. They came out quickly for an estimate, did the work soon after that and went above and beyond expectations. They painted the room, laid down wood floors, installed new floor trim. Great job.

    James L Graves Construction
I was very impressed with the detailed quote I received. There were a couple of unexpected expenses (replacing old skylights and a door not included in the original quote), but they were dealt with efficiently. Any issues were brought to my attention and a solution worked out. The workmen were professional, courteous, and friendly. Jim and Mark came up with a couple innovative solutions to structural issues. I am very pleased with the work and look forward to many years of enjoying my new kitchen, bathroom, and family room.

    Archangel Remodeling
Archangel Remodeling completed a kitchen renovation this summer. I cannot express how pleased I am with their work! They were extremely time efficient, communicative and intricate with every last detail. The owner, Stephen, was extremely involved in the design process. I provided him with a vision that he helped come to life. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with the end result. I would hire Archangel Remodeling in second for any additional work I need done.

    Victoria's Marble & Granite LLC
Workers had a difficult time removing the old back splash and also installing the biggest of the two countertops. The biggest countertop came in two pieces due to its length. When the installers laid the two pieces down on top of the base cabinets, one of the countertop pieces was sticking up way above the other piece where the two met. In order for the two pieces to meet flush, they had to install shims in several places between the one countertop piece and the base cabinets. These cabinets are 26 years old and one of the workers mentioned something about house settlement. However, the house is 54 years old and one would think that it would have finished settling by now, unless I have a foundation problem. Anyway, despite the difficult installation, the new countertops look great and the installer did a great job matching up the two pieces. However, this left a gap between the countertop and the cabinet on one end, which I have ordered molding to cover. The owner offered to have someone come back and install the molding, but this is something I can easily do myself. I would have given this company an A for overall performance. However, I paid $120 extra to have them haul away the old countertops, sink, garbage disposal, and faucet. I decided to keep the faucet, until the new one got installed and they hauled away the old countertops. However, they didn't take the garbage disposal or sink. I thought no big deal about the garbage disposal, but when I found the sink several hours after they had left laying in a flower bed near my front door, I was not too pleased. By this time, it was too late in the evening to call the owner to have them come back to retrieve it. Since trash pickup was the next day, I decided to drag the sink, which is cast iron, to the curb, along with the garbage disposal, for trash pickup. However, I underestimated how heavy the sink was and I pulled my back when I picked it up and it was sore for several days afterwards. The owner did call me during the installation to let me know they would not be providing molding to cover up the gaps left by the shims, and that's when he offered to have someone install any molding I purchased. However, once the final payment was made, he never gave me a courtesy call after the job was completed to see if I was satisfied with how everything went. So, I didn't give him the courtesy of letting him know that his employees didn't take everything I had paid them to haul away.

    Keilas Remodeling LLC
I purchased a fixer upper and had a HORRIBLE experience with a contractor who was a liar and didnt know what he was doing. My 4600 square foot home was in shambles when Wilder came to give me a quote. He had the best quote and he was able to start immediately. Wilder was very professional and knowledgeable. I have since recommended him to 3 other friends who need work done in their homes. His work ethic is amazing and he has a great personality. He is a honest, a hard worker and very accommodating!!!

    METROPOLITAN BATH & TILE
I used a different company that turned out to be great but this was my experience with Metropolitan. A very nice gentleman came out to give me an estimate. I felt he had good ideas and was very professional. You are not supposed to go to their showroom until after the estimator comes out and you make an appointment but I was able to talk them into letting me see some options so I would have an idea what materials were feasible within my budget. They were much more expensive then the company I used but what I really didn't like is that they would not give me the paper estimate. They told me the cost and then I had to take notes to try and remember the details. They said the estimate was proprietary and that I could not take pictures of the tile and granite until I signed a contract!. Also the materials that fell within my budget was in their "value" line so I wasn't even thrilled with the choices I was given. The company that I went with gave me an estimate on the spot and then later, one that itemized everything. I'm sure that Metropolitan does beautiful work. My neighbor used them and was very happy but I think there are other places to consider that are more flexible and open.

    Deluxe Kitchen & Bath
We recently had our bathroom counter top and kitchen counter top replaced by Deluxe Kitchen and Bath in Bowie, Maryland (Fairwood Green shopping center). We worked with Kat who provided us excellent design guidance. Once our choices were made, the work was scheduled and completed within our time frame. The counter tops are beautiful, the installation was perfect as was the plumbing work to connect everything. We are very pleased with Deluxe Kitchen and Bath and give them the highest recommendation.
