    Had lots of troubleshooting in the beginning and had to return 2 systems before a third one worked in our home. It was very frustrating as it took up a lot of time, but the customer representatives that I worked with were awesome, helpful and patient. One rep even followed up with me several times via email to make sure that my system was still working correctly. Due to the malfunctioning of the first two systems, I was compensated for one month of security protection. It was appreciated that they acknowledged all of the time it took for things to work correctly. Overall, I am glad I stuck with them because of their excellent customer service.

    Justin did a fantastic job installing my flat panel TV on the wall with a bracket that I provided.  He spent the time making sure it was exactly done the way I requested.  After he completed the service, I wanted to make a small change to where it was mounted and called him to ask advice.  He came back out the following Monday and made this change for me without asking for any more money.  He cares about his customer's satisfaction, has fair pricing and is an honest business man.  I would use him again for any of the services he performs.

    I am a landlord of a condo unit and unbeknownst to me, a tenant had an ADT system installed. The tenant ended up being evicted, so I called ADT to ask how to get the system removed from the home. The placement of the system is an eye sore in the front foyer and the wires are strung haphazardly through the living room. There is also a large charger screwed into one of the main outlets in the living room.
    I waited on hold for about 20 minutes, thinking how, with such a long wait time, it's a good thing that I wasn't contacting them regarding an emergency, or if my alarm was going off mistakenly. I got through to someone who explained how to unplug the unit to make sure it wouldn't go off. I asked her if someone would come get the equipment and she said no, that was not their policy. I then asked how the tenant would have had permission to install the unit without my permission, because I was told by another agent when I called ADT that she would have had to have a signed form from me. I said I was concerned about the damage to the walls that I was going to need to patch and paint. She connected me with another customer service representative in another department.
    This individual had a snide attitude, and basically went with the "It's-not-our-problem" line of reasoning. He said that the tenant signs a piece of paper that indicates that she has permission from the landlord to install. I said that was a bad policy, and he said it wasn't ADT's problem to check-up on what the tenant says, and it was between the landlord and tenant. I said, well then why did someone else I spoke to at this same phone number tell me that a landlord signature is required? He would not give me a direct answer about their policy and said that it was possible that different installers had different policies. I asked again if they would come remove their equipment, and he said it wasn't "worth their money" to remove the equipment and it is in the paperwork that the the equipment stays at the property. I said, well the paperwork wasn't with me, it was with the tenant so as a customer service measure, they should come remove it. He said they couldn't because it opens them up to liability if "something happens" when they come to remove it. Again, he said it is up to you to pursue this with the tenant. I also think that they purposefully don't remove the unit because their hope is that the next tenant/owner says, oh well, ADT is already installed, maybe we'll get a contract with them...dishonest business practice- not to mention wasteful and not environmentally-friendly (if I remove the unit, it is going to go in the trash (aka landfill) whereas if they took 5 minutes to come pick it up, they could re-use it.)
    I understand the points he was making, but his attitude was very uncaring and it seems like a selfish move of the company, to install a system so quickly and easily and then take no responsibility when it turns out that they didn't actually have permission to install it. It would be a simple step to require a landlord signature, but this might decrease their ease of getting service contracts, so of course they aren't going to do it.
    Even if I was in the market for a security system, I wouldn't use this company because of the crass customer service I received. If I were thinking about getting an ADT system, I would be wary of the customer service that is waiting for you once you are on the other side of signing a contract.

    Frontpoint shipped the equipment immediately.  The system is self-install and they provided excellent customer support during installation.  A couple of sensors had to be adjusted which they took care of.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality security service and monitoring

    I would like to first start off by saying that Richard Sr. and Richard Jr was very kind, courteous and professional. In today's society, companies just want your money and forget about what good customer service is, but not with this company and it was refreshing to have it. They even offered to pick lunch up for me when they went on there lunch break. How often does that happen! :)
    I received at least 2 other quotes and decided to go with them, because Richard Jr. explained the system very well and took the time to enter my home with foot booties, which showed me that he respected my home. The job took about 8 hours which was explained at the time of my estimate. All of the wires are very neatly done and they ensured that they cleaned up during and after the installation. 
    Also, before any drilling was done in certain areas, they asked for my permission and explained why. After everything was completed, Richard Jr. explained the system and helped me to load it onto several devices. He did not leave until I was comfortable with the system and even offered to come back out if I have any problems. 
    I would recommend them, if you are ever looking for a video surveillance.

    I just wanted to give you an update to say that this is the best company that I have ever used. I had an issue with my service and when I called, they came right back out to fix it. The service is still awesome and Richard is a great technician.

    The installation was fine but had quite a few problems with the way their equipment works though about 3 months, 4 months ago.  The person who did the installation was very friendly, knowledgeable, and he works quickly. It has not worked since they already installed the components of my alarm system. They are extremely overpriced. I will not use them again in the future.

    The security consultant went over all cost effective measures that would get me a customer of Ackerman.  Though I wasn't able to get the system I wanted because of the upfront costs I was able to get my monitoring fees lowered $10/month and I can save to start working towards getting the Z-Wave capability.

    It was very simple and easy. They sent us everything, and tried to upsell us on nothing. Their customer service has been great, and we even moved the system to a new location a year later, for which FrontPoint took care of all the state registration paperwork.

    Re: Richard Johnson I will recommend Guardian to my friends and family and co-workers. Richard is very knowledgeable and should be rewarded for his excellent customer service! He deserves a raise, in my opinion, ASAP! Also, Richard was courteous and patient, to answer all of my questions. Note: Bodi Joyce, Salesman, is exceptional too! Bodi also explained new alarm system thoroughly! I am happy that I purchased Guardian.
