    It was a long wait in the waiting room. They tried to have us see a nurse practitioner. I asked if we could see the doctor. She came in but it was very brief. If I had not asked I think we would just have met with the nurse practitioner. The wait was over an hour. The office was crowded but it was nice and convenient. It was very professional and clean. I had to get up and ask how much longer. It went through my insurance and I had to pay the co-pay.

    He is great and his services are top notch.  He is certified and renowned in laser treatment.  He has great equipment and he has very pleasant staff.  He is generally available whenever I need to get in.   There is no long wait.

    Dr. Kates takes her time, explains what she's doing and why, seems knowledgeable and highly competent, and truly seems to care about her patients. She answered all my questions about my funny moles and pathology reports and has wonderful bedside manner. I once had a question for her regarding my pathology report that I didn't think to ask when she called me with the results. I called her office and Dr. Kates promptly returned my call that evening and happily answered all my questions. She's by far the best dermatologist I've been to (I've seen about 3 others).
    Her office staff is super sweet, professional, and caring - from the receptionist to nurses. Top notch!
    I healed well from all 5 shave biopsies and the one excision of margins I've had (2 more are pending). I've had no complications, infections, etc.
    Three of my visits I was taken back in less than 15 minutes and seen by the doctor in about another 5 minutes. One visit, though, I waited about 45 minutes before being taken back and at least another 15 minutes before I saw the doctor, perhaps longer. In their defense their computer system was down that day and the staff was doing the best they could while having to do everything manually.
    Twice I've had issue paying my co-pay while there. Once their computer systems were down altogether and I was unable to pay. No big deal... I got the bill in the may and simply paid it through the mail. But, during my next appointment they were unable to take my credit card payment, initially saying it was a problem with their computer system. They called me the next day and tried to re-process my card however they were still unable to process my payment but said other customers were working fine. I have had no problems using my card at other vendors and even called my bank who said they showed no sign of the dermatologist's office even attempting to charge my card. It seems likely the issue is on their end. They were pretty cool about it and just asked that I bring them a check when I go back this week to have my stitches removed. A minor inconvenience.
    One other thing that frustrated me a tad was that after my last round of biopsies it was determined that I need to have 2 more excision of margins performed. Dr. Kates said I would need to do this in two separate visits - one for each mole. I said I would prefer to do both at the same time but she said she didn't have an appointment available for many months where she would have time to do two of these procedures. This is unfortunate, since it means I will need to pay 2 co-pays instead of 1 and take off work twice instead of once. I'm aware that some doctors use this practice to get more money from their patients and insurance companies, though I don't think this is what's happening here. I called several days after originally scheduling the 2 appointments and talked the receptionist who said they were happy to do it in one visit, but not until April since it required a double appointment on their books.
    Overall, I love this office and Dr. Kates and recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

    I was examined by Dr. Barnett in the Annapolis office. I only had to wait for a few minutes before my name was called. Dr. Barnett was somewhat abrupt in his manner but he examined my scalp, removed the lesion (test result came back benign), froze some other possible lesions and I was out of there in less than 30 minutes. He also assured me that the lesion was probably benign before I left which gave me peace of mind while the lab results came back. Overall it was a positive experience.

    My husband sees a physician's assistant at Dr. Finzi's practice most of the time. The physician's assistant is very thorough and very communicative. I can't remember the last time my husband saw Dr. Finzi himself. Dr. Finzi has a large practice and has several other doctors working with him and he has his physician's assistant who does the routine work; Dr. Finzi himself does surgery most of the time and the physician's assistant does the routine checks on my husband and she is very efficient. My husband had never had any complains; he has had nothing but praise for the physician's assistant. She has to go over his whole body and check everything, and she has given him medication that has helped his problem and has been very effective.

    I found Dr. Callender through Angie's List. The address on the website was wrong, so we ended up being late for the appointment, but she still took us. I was impressed with the waiting room environment, though. Her staff was very professional. I was able to get an appointment rather quickly. We were early for the follow-up appointment and she got to us late. I won't be using her again in the future because I value my time. Anything above a half hour wait I feel is unreasonable, so I will not be going back. Dr. Callender is very aware that her punctuality is an issue with patients.

    They always go above and beyond for you. They have samples for you before you have to spend for prescriptions. They are always courteous and professional. The staff is very professional and when they say that they are going to call you back, they do so.

    When I arrived at Dr. Crawford's office, the receptionist greeted me and asked me to sign in.  I waited about 15 minutes before I was able to be seen by Dr. Crawford.  The routine exam lasted about 10 minutes. She has always been very competent and professional.  Although her communication skills may leave something to be desired, I have always found Dr. Crawford to be friendly and polite.  I'll take competence over bedside manner.

    Bedside manner was horrible. Communicaiton is worse. She was rude, pointed out moles she thought needed to be removed. I wanted more information before I agreed to having a mole on my neck removed (my previous dermotologist had wanted to watch the mole, which hasn't changed in 20 years.) When I asked follow up questions (in a respectful manner) she said "I'm the doctor and that is what I recommend, but you do what you want." She didn't listen to me, did't try to discuss options, acted offended that I would want to gather information before having a mole removed. She quickly left the room, she saw me for no longer than five minutes. As a nurse, I have enough experience to know that my quesitons were not out of line, but rather her behavior and treatment of a patient was.

    She keeps up with current and new medications, techniques. They use a combined approach. She is cutting edge. She has helped me get my acne under control. When my son comes home from college he tries to get in to see her as well.
