    Levy, Dr. Marc
Dr. Levy gave me the wrong prescription. When eyeglasses arrived, they weren't right for me. I made an appointment and he quickly gave me a better prescription. The thing is, I spent a long time in the wait room waiting, and he spent the shortest amount of time determining my prescription. I suspected something might be wrong. When I came back to get a corrected prescription after the eyeglasses didn't work for me, he quickly wrote it out but again nearly no time measuring to get it. I wasted my insurance by using it at this place. Bethesda Vision Eye Care has a lot of employees and also customers. It also has parking. I believe, based on my experience, that the emphasis is on selling the eyeglass frames and lenses rather than getting the eye exam right. The prices of the frames and lenses is high, but one can use insurance to pay some of it. It would be cheaper to get eyeglasses at Costco or Walmart, but one spends more buying eyeglasses at the eye doctor's facility in part because one is grateful for getting an accurate eye exam. I don't trust this place for getting a good eye exam, at least not from the one who examined my eyes. It's partly my fault because I wanted a place close by rather than drive further to a more highly rated eye care place.

    America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses
I see America's Best for my eyes. I see Dr. Yang. I don't know about anybody else but I love Dr. Yang. She's an ophthalmologist. If she left, and she knows this, they'd have to tell me because where she goes, I go.

    Wilmer Eye Institute - Bethesda
They are short staffed.  The doctor (Dr. Gire, the only optometrist on offer), seemed was very good, but I was unhappy about having to wait a month and a half for the first available appointment with her.  I got the prescription right away, and she
made a recommendation on contact lenses and ordered them.
Two weeks after my appointment, I got a call from the optical services department that my contact lenses had arrived.
That was not an unreasonable wait.  However, the first available appointment to try them on was three weeks away.
I've been going to Wilmer in Baltimore for many years for both regular eye care and glaucoma treatment, and have had excellent
experiences there.  But until they are able to provide services in the Bethesda office with reasonable time horizons, I
would strongly urge people who want to go to Wilmer to go up to Baltimore.  Being asked to wait three weeks to try on
contact lenses that have already arrived is absurd.  Had I been warned that this might happen, I might have been able
to set up an appointment for a fitting when I was there for my eye exam.
I should note that I was offered one other appointment that was only two weeks away, but could not make that one.
The appointments desk person with whom I spoke was polite and sympathetic, so I assume the problem is that they
    just d.

    Bethesda Vision Care
Had only good experience and service from Bethesda Vision Care. The scheduler at BVC was always very friendly and professional and wasn't bothered a bit when I called the same day as my scheduled appointment and asked to change the time to later in the day (which they were able to accommodate). Parking was not a problem as they have free! parking in their downtown Bethesda lot. My appointment was on time. Dr. Marc Levy was excellent, spending time to perform a thorough exam and explain things to me. My vision has changed where I am on the borderline of needing glasses. Dr. Levy (who introduced himself as Marc) asked if I would like to look at BVC's selection of glasses and I declined. Given mine and others' experiences with places that sell glasses, I expected to be pressured to consider purchasing glasses, but Dr. Levy didn't seem to mind that I was not interested. BVC is on my insurance plan (Cigna) and my out of pocket expense was only $10 (copay), I certainly plan to go back for annual eye exams or any eye issues.

    Visionary Ophthalmology
    1. I expected it would take one hour or so for eye exam and seeing a doctor, but actually it took almost two and a half hours:
I was called in 30 minutes after my appointment time; they used at least 5 examination instruments to see my eyes, some of then were totally new for me; I had to wait another 15 minutes or so to see Dr. Cremers; Then after that I had to get another picture taken; After another ten minutes or so waiting, I saw Dr. Cremers again.
    2. Dr. Cremers gave me several instructions in order to improve my dry eyes. The only instruction given by another eye doctor I went to see last year was applying warm compresses. Dr. Cremers directions seem to be working for me.
    3. It seemed most of staffs are Spanish bilingual. I observed more than half of the patients are Spanish speakers.
I would say this practice seems to have good doctors but business organization is not good at all. If you have time to spend two hours or so for an appointment, I recommend the Visionary Ophthalmology.

    Glenn, Dr. Donna M.
Dr. Glenn is the best optometrist that I have found in suburban Montgomery County. She treated me sympathetically and with respect. Most important, she took her time getting the best correction for my eyes and discussed some issues that were important for my glasses. This was my second visit to Dr. Glenn, and I plan on continuing to see her in the future. I should also say that my wife has also visited her 2 times and shares these opinions.

    Professional Vision
My son and I have been going to Dr. Barnstein for two years. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Barnstein is really great with kids and understands their needs. With my son, he will need glasses but Dr. Barnstein suggested that he wait until the end of the summer since he really didn't need them while playing. We will be back at the beginning of August for a quick check and the select the frames. Great experience every time.

    Colonial Opticians - Bethesda
They were great. They spend time with you and give very good attention. They are expensive but I never had a problem. They pay attention and they never rush you when you pick up a frame. They give good suggestions; we've never had a problem with their lenses. The lenses have always been like exactly whereas our experience with cheaper lenses.

    Solomon, Dr. Richard S.

I've been a patient of Dr. Solomon's for over 15 years; he is without a doubt the best ophthalmologist I've ever used. He takes the time to explain everything in detail, and to find solutions to one's vision issues.

    Bahn, Dr. Charles F
Dr. Bahn and his staff were wonderful. The staff has been with him a long time and they know many of the patients quite well. I was seen pretty much on time. Dr. Bahn took his time and carefully explained everything to me. He suggested I needed glasses for far vision and noted astigmatism in my left eye that other opthamologists had missed. It runs in my family but he did not know that before he noted it.
I have since had my glasses filled and it is amazing the clarity with which I can see with such a small magnification. He recommended I initially get different glasses for seeing far as opposed to transitionals, I already use reading glasses. He stated most patients preferred different glasses since it can be challenging to get used to transitionals.
So far I have been happy with using 2 different pairs.
I would go back to him in follow up.
