    American Deck & Patio
Excellent. Sean and his team did a terrific, efficient job. We had expected to use composite materials, and Sean was thorough in explaining all the options and advantages of composite decking. In the end, because of regulations in our homeowners' association, we decided to stick with pressure-treated wood, a less expensive option. Sean could not have been nicer, despite spending so much time discussing composite decking with us. His team installed our new decks (one large, one small) and they look fantastic. Everyone was professional, from beginning to end. We highly recommend!

    Johnson's Landscaping Service Inc
My entire engagement with JLS has been a nightmare. We have a contract that clearly says that -- among other work -- they will install a half ton of river rock. They didn't do it, but sent me an invoice saying the work was done. But that was only part of the problem -- the initial design did not address the drainage issues that prompted me to work with them in the first place. So I agreed to pay more money, in return for more work, plus the installation of the river rock from the initial contract. Only part of the work from the second contract was done, still no half ton of river rock, and another claim that the work was done and the final payments were due. JLS's horrible communications serve as the perfecdt complement to their apparent inability to actually do the work they said would they do. Emails and calls go unanswered for days. Stay away. Stay very far away.

Mel's Power Washing & Window Cleaning Inc
Mel was very responsive, provided an estimate very quickly and was able to schedule the job within two days of being contacted. The crew did an excellent job, showing a lot of responsiveness to our concerns and needs. The company even offered to change the bulbs I had asked them to install for free, when I realized they were not the right color. Overall, excellent company. We will be hiring Mel again in the future. Pricing was very competitive.

    East Coast Landscape Design
I have to add my hearty thanks to all the others East Cost Landscape has received. We replaced an old wooden retaining wall in our back yard that had been undermined by poor drainage. Beyond the wall the ground descended steeply. We had doubts about how to proceed. Mark quickly assessed the situation and proposed a curved Semma stone wall, as well as underground drainage pipes for two downspouts running through a weephole in the wall. The project was completed in two days by a very hard-working team. We didn't realize how wide and beautiful the wall would be. Another team came to mulch and sod. We probably could have used a little more sod, but we're very happy. It's impressive!

    Adirondack Tree Experts
These guys are fantastic!!! They took down a huge tree next to my house that had become hazardous, ground down the stump, and did it at a fraction of the price quoted by other tree services that I consulted. (In fact, one of these other tree services recommended them, because they knew that Adirondack could do the job less expensively with the larger equipment that they had.) The workers came first thing in the morning, and were finished by noon. (All staff that I dealt with, both office and onsite, were very professional and courteous.) I would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs a big job like mine done right and at a reasonable price.

    East Coast Landscape Design
East Coast Landscaping designed a landscaping project that included dozens of plants and sod. They performed the work in just 3 days, and it was an impressive amount of work. The work crew was very professional and efficient, and the owner of the company provided us with ample advice about how to maintain the planters.

Amazing company, excellent job! We were preparing our house for sale, and were referred to Total Care by our handyman. We were under a very tight deadline. From Daniela in the office to Enselmo and his crews, Total Care went out of their way to meet our needs and accommodate our schedule. The work was top-notch, all the staff was friendly and helpful, and they are a company that cares greatly about their work and about impressing their customers.

    Avalos Stone and Landscape
Alvaro Monterroso of Avalos Stonework and Landscaping installed a split-rail fence around my house and built a retaining stone wall (see photo) on one side of the garden. With his crew the old fence was removed before installing a new one. I met with four companies for cost estimates on this project. Alvaros estimate was a mid-range estimate. Alvaro worked with me at considerable length on selecting stone materials and fence wood. He worked with his crew each day, tackling difficult structural problems that his crew did not have the kind of experience and expertise that he has. It is an excellent work done by his company. People from our neighborhood came to compliment on the quality and the attractiveness of the stone wall. I will soon be having shrubs planted in the garden by Alvaro and his crew.

    Alfaro's Tree Expert
This went very well. Unfortunately I have had to pay to have large trees removed from my property before. Therefore I know from experience that this work is expensive and dangerous. I also know that prices for work can vary widely so it pays to get bids. I got four, including one from Alfaro's who had removed a large dying oak from property a couple years ago. They did a great job with that difficult project and they were by far the low bidder on that one. They were not the lowest price this time around but were far cheaper than two of the other bids and close enough to the lowest that I chose them again for this job because as the pictures show it was a very tricky one. For my peace of mind I decided to go with known quality even though it cost me a little bit more. Even so I watched the work for the many hours it took to remove this large dying oak inches from my house. Fidel Alfaro supervised his crew closely and they took great care to remove the enormous tree safely without any damage to my house and without any injuries to the crew. Afterwords, they cleaned up the property, even getting the sawdust off my roof. While I hope I will not need Alfaro's services again soon (I only have 2 mature trees left) I will not hesitate to recommend Alfaro's Tree Experts to family and friends. They do great work, they are professional and Alfaro is great to work with.

    Chapingo Tree Care Specialists
They were a pleasure to work with. They came to give me the proposal when they said they would, and when I asked them to come back a second time (after I realized another tree needed pruning), they came without complaint. They did the work carefully and at the time specified, and cleaned up after themselves. One of the trees is especially challenging because it very tall and in a back corner of our yard without access to the street and with branches going over several neighbors' yards. They made sure I was satisfied before they left. On top of it all, their price was lower than the others I got.
