    Sensa HVAC
    Avoid Sam and Sensa at all cost. Especially if he utters the words "Trust me." Sensa was foisted upon me by Choice Warranty. But what happened was Sam did not want to report back to Choice the problem he found with my AC. Instead he cajoled us to allow him to replace our entire heating/cooling system for around $10K, while ASSURING us ("Trust me") that our homeowners insurance (Liberty) would pay for it. BUT, the adjuster from Liberty came to check out our claim and denied it for two main reasons: 1. Instead of leaving the system that he said had "burned out," so that the adjust could inspect it, Sam disposed of everything and tried to simply use pictures to justify the repair for Liberty. 2. He also told Liberty some information that was different from what he told US. So when the information I gave Liberty did not match what Sam had told them, we were done for. The adjuster even insinuated that Sensa had tried to get us to commit insurance fraud, and they showed me several online instances of BBB complaints against Sensa, customer lawsuits against Sensa, and even where customers had indicated that Sensa had tried to get them to commit insurance fraud. Just say "No" if you're considering Sensa.

    Davis and Davis My air conditioner died on July 24 2018. I called Davis and Davis. They sent a guy out for a service for the same day. He found that the blower had died and had a large freon leak. The Davis and Davis guys came over on July 27, 2018 and they removed the old equipment. They had the new system installed and working by 1pm. It was clean and quickly done. I am very happy.

    Bill Royston of All-Pro Services was able to come out within a few days, examined the existing system, and provided the most detailed estimate that we received. He explained why his solution to the position of the vents was a bit more complicated but better. His follow-up crew was able to provide additional details on how they would handle some additional electrical work. The work was started within a few days and completed in a timely manner. We had working AC at the end of the first day, which was very much appreciated. The clean-up was complete and everything was left in good shape. I was impressed by the size of the crew and their ability to work on all aspects of the project at the same time. They worked hard and long and did a great job, including a lesson on using the new thermostat. We went from never being comfortable to always being comfortable.

    I have an 11 year old TRANE system in my house and have not had a bit of trouble since the house was built until this year when the compressor failed to start on the first hot day. The guys at As You Like it were great. The owner was pleasant and responsive and was able to get his crew out to me ASAP. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad electrical capacitor. They replaced it, recommended a "hard start" kit to upgrade it, and completed a full inspection and servicing of the unit inside and out. I had no problem adding the hard start kit as their service call prices and labor rate for service were excellent for the DC Metro area. I will definitely use them again for maintenance and repairs.

Mr. Gusky was straightforward about cost expectation, accurate to cost (revealed at closeout that Angieslist customers have a 10% discount, a wonderful perk!), and all technical communication was simple. Did not insist on separate, cost-added diagnostic as previous tech had already identified source of problem, and it was easily demonstrable. Technician was prompt, efficient, tested for any failure modes. Part replacement was swift and system runs normally now.

    They crushed the job in two days, and the install was done with an exceptionally high level of quality. Their rates are exceptionally competitive, honest, and straightforward. They easily beat every other offer for the same work. They are an authorized Lennox installer, and signed me up for the extended warranty completely on their own; did not take any risk that I'd fail to do so myself. I asked them to do a fall tune-up as well, and even though they were doing work on a coupon, they gave me the discounted rate for that, too. They didn't have to do that--they want repeat customers, so they choose to do that. I'll be a customer of their seasonal inspections for as long as they'll have me. 100% recommended.

    Great. We had the heater installed about four years ago and figured it was due for a flushing. A neighbor's hot water heater just failed and flooded his basement, so thought it was time to have ours checked. Technician arrived on time and got to work. After the job was done we discussed preventive maintenance measures. I'd use them again. I thought the price was fair and the service very professional.

    I purchased the AngiesList Big deal for a gas furnace inspection. A few days later, I discovered the furnace would not come on. I did some troubleshooting, but could not determine the source of the problem. The company���s owner arrived within the scheduled time period. After inspecting the furnace, he examined the thermostat and discovered the existing contact pins were bent. He then straightened the pins and installed new batteries. The contractor recommended the furnace not be replaced anytime soon.
