    DOUG SELMAN BUILDERS
Had a new home built after we lost our in a fire. This contractor never showed up on the job but had his cousin who has a full time job as a tire man come check on it after work occasionally. Leaving the "help" to do what they wanted. The home was not even built according to the blue prints. Everything they touched had to be redone 2,3,4 times and still is not done correctly. Subpar is being to kind. This contractor took my money and never paid the subs leaving his drunk friends to have to come finish the job leaving lots of liens that we are still dealing with. RUN, DONT WALK FROM THIS SO CALLED CONTRACTOR!! There is not enough time or place to type the nightmare we went through. He even went as far as posing as my husband to try to get a check released from the bank. Do yourself a favor and keep looking!

    Creative Deck Designs
I really liked working with Creative.  the only flaw I ever saw was that the office and sales can be very slow to return calls, work out issues, and answer questions.  Have to keep on them.

    ARH Decks
From start to finish, ARH decks made this entire process exciting, easy and stress-free.  This was a huge investment for our family so we met with numerous companies, all highly recommended by Angieslist, before deciding to go with ARH.  Tony responded to all of our contacts within hours, gave us a very competitive estimate, and met with us several times prior to signing the contract to answer all of our questions.  He also agreed to complete several additional requests we had without increasing the initial price quote.  The entire crew worked SO, SO hard each day until the project was completed and often worked well into the evening to ensure that progress kept moving forward.  They were courteous, respectful and demonstrated such an impressive work ethic and commitment to quality.  The crew followed up to ensure that we were satisfied with every single detail of our completed porch, and the finished product has more than exceeded our expectations.  We have an amazing outdoor space to enjoy and are so happy we chose ARH to complete the project.  We have already recommended them to family and friends who are completely impressed with our porch.

    Patio Enclosures
The work began on June 12, 2012 and was completed on October 9, 2012.
We experienced many problems with the project and needed to contact Patio Enclosures on numerous occasions. The problems occurred due to the lack of a complete set of written plans and the use of subcontractors.
The owner of Patio Enclosures always acknowledged our concerns and promised to make good on them; however, it generally took a long time to do so.  Ultimately all issues were resolved, but the project took 4 months to complete, instead of 4 weeks as estimated.
We are definitely satisfied with the finished deck and enclosure, but it did require a lot of our time and took too long to complete.

    Sheridan Construction & Remodeling Inc
I have contracted with Sheridan Construction for a number of projects in my home including a kitchen renovation, great room renovation, replacement windows and facelift, painting, exterior patio construction and numerous miscellaneous improvements.
As a project manager for an architectural design firm I oversee and inspect numerous design construction and renovation projects. I have always been completely satisfied with the work performed by Sheridan Construction. They made recommendations to improve ideas, reduce cost or improve the quality of the project for my consideration.
Sheridan Construction performed the work on time and within the prior agreed upon budget.
I would recommend Sheridan Construction for any new or renovation project.

    Timothy's Home Improvement
Job #1, Roof: Results were excellent. The bulk of this job was centered around the dormers.  The shingles near the dormers were replaced along with new flashing and hardy board siding and repainted.  Originally, the estimate for starting this job was September once the summer temperature cooled somewhat.  However, I received a call from Timothy in August when we had a break in the heat and he started much earlier than planned.  Timothy values the craftsmanship and reputation of his work.  He personally inspects the job progress.  We had the ultimate weather test with Hurricane Sandy in late October.  We now have a water-tight roof over our heads.
Job #2, Porch Ceilings: Once again, great quality and craftsmanship.  Very neat and thorough.  Two screens were accidentally damaged during the demolition phase, but these were addressed and repaired.  Timothy even came back at our request to trim the ceiling beams for an aesthetic improvement.  We received a credit for any leftover materials that could be returned.
Timothy's Home Improvement is a solid, credible contractor.

    Welcome Home Decks
They poured the foundation and added the addition to the back of my house. They put a screened in porch on as well. I can't say enough positive about them. They were there every day and worked like beavers right through the cold weather! They were great! I would use them again in the future without hesitation.

    Superior Home Renovations
Eric designed and constructed my walk-in shower, tiled the entire shower, added a bench seat and several tile shelves. My shower looks like a spa shower now, including all the neat plumbing and shower heads. I really wanted a bidet toilet, and Eric researched, found and installed my favorite appliance in the house--my bidet toilet. When my son "inspected" the plumbing in the "master" bathroom, before Eric drywalled it, he made the comment that Eric's plumbing was "a peice of art" and that Eric is a total perfectionist. I wanted drawers in my vanity, but the vanity that was chosen, didn't have drawers. Eric built them in for me. Eric left the house in the same condition that he found it, every day, when he left. I've never seen anyone clean up after themselves on a "construction" site, every day like Eric did. He put down drop cloths every morning, and picked them up on his way out. This young man is a perfectionist. His cost estimate was very good. His time estimate was not as perfect. It took him longer to complete the job than he originally thought. But he never left my job for another job. He stayed right on it until he finished, and would have worked much later into the nights, if I had allowed it. He is a one-man show, and has to do everything himself, and that's why it takes him a little longer to get it all done. However, the end product is totally worth the extra time.

    T W Ellis LLC
They mixed old and new materials. They used scraps from other jobs. They cut my roof back to the rafters and the next day there was water pouring into my kitchen. They did over $28,000 worth of damage because of incompetence. They didn't fulfill their contract. There were numerous contract violations. They used false advertising, had discourteous sub-contractors and the owner's brother used foul language. The workmanship was extremely poor and had to be redone. I had based my decision to hire them on the brochures they presented and the yellow pages advertisement they had. Maryland home improvement has my complaint and I have requested arbitration with them. Their inspector has documented the damages and workmanship. I also filed a complaint with the BBB and the office of the Attorney General.

    DICOCCO CONTRACTORS
WE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH DICOCCO CONTRACTORS. THIS IS A FAMILY OWNED COMPANY WITH VERY COMPETITIVE PRICING. THEY CAME OUT AND DID A FREE ESTIMATE, AND GAVE US A TIME FRAME IN WHICH THE JOB WOULD BE COMPLETED. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN A TIMELY FASHION AND IT LOOKS WONDERFUL.
