Woodfield came to my house to provide an estimate for a project to repair/replace a walkway and patio along with some other landscape related work on 9/6/2018. He explicitly stated he would provide an estimate. I made 3 attempts to follow up with them for the estimate via email and by leaving a message with the receptionist: 9/13 - EMail 9/17 - Message with receptionist 9/21 - Message with receptionist (message also stated that I would like a message either way if he could support the project or not) To date (10/9) I haven't received any communication from Woodfield at all. Not even a courtesy email or call to say he couldn't support the project per my request.

We had two trees removed and one was from storm damage that landed on our carport. They responded very quickly and the price was ok. It took two weeks to have the trees removed after they came out for the estimate. They did a excellent job in removal of the trees. I came home from work and both trees were gone. They did a excellent job in the clean up. Not even a twig was left. A+ job. Highly Recommend their company.

The first part done in the fall was fine. They were punctual and efficient. But some plants and trees needed to wait until the spring to take root. I was told I would receive the rest of the planting’s in the spring. It’s now almost August and after countless phone calls I have been blown off. We still do not have the plants and trees I paid for back in October. They keep promising they will be out in a couple weeks. The time goes by, I call again, and am being ignored. I would never use them again. I feel taken advantage of, and quite frankly, they’ve taken my money and have not provided the services contracted on. Steer clear of this company!

What a fantastic company! I contacted Brian at Rockspring Landscaping after reading all the great reviews. We were disappointed by another landscaper so I was careful this time. Literally an hour after I called he showed up to survey our property and discuss the project. A few days later I received a detailed proposal. Throughout the process Brian was responsive and despite weather delays kept us in the loop with follow up emails and phone calls. He arrived a few days early to begin the project and not only finished early but did a lot of extra work not in the proposal which was extraordinary. Overall the work was amazing. Brian is a hands on owner and was on site for most of the 4-5 days. The stone he suggested looks amazing and is the perfect accent border for our plant beds. Without our prompting his crew trimmed back 3 huge trees in our backyard creating more sunlight. The trees now look incredible. We plan on using his company for other projects and will definitely recommend to our neighbors, family and friends. If you want a dedicated, professional and honest landscaper call Rockspring Landscaping!

I would like to caveat anything I say here by simply stating that the pictures below are, in fact, the work that was completed by Solid Brick Contracting. If you feel the quality of work displayed in these pictures is professional, then you can ignore this review, but I do recommend reading because their responsiveness after I paid for the job in full was essentially nonexistent. This may concern you if you have similar issues in the beginning or in a year from now if you have a warranty issue. After the job was complete and I paid in full (my mistake), I contacted Solid Brick Contracting on 5/3/2018 via email. To date (6/19/2018), they have not even come out to look at the issues, let alone address them. They have made 4 attempts to schedule something, but they never followed through or cancelled. My main issue is with the brick work around the porch. I actually mentioned some of the issues below to Solid Brick Contracting before I paid. They said that the pressure washing and cleaning would address the issue regarding the mortar residue and the mortar joint shaping, uniformity and smoothness. I did find this hard to believe, but I gave it a chance. My mistake was really not allowing it to dry overnight before paying him because it was still wet when I came home so it made everything look uniform. (Note: Just as a side note, notice that a lot of the pictures in the reviews on various sites show it wet. This hides a lot of the imperfections and I assume that is why they do it.) While the pressure washing did remove a bit of the mortar residue, it did very little if anything for the uniformity and smoothness of the shaping of the mortar joints. As I see it, here are the issues with the brick work still: 1) There is still a lot mortar residue on the surface of the bricks around the whole porch. 2) There is significant color variation in the mortar joint. 3) The brick pattern is not consistent. (I don’t know why I didn’t notice that before I paid, but I didn’t). The top row on the left side and one of the rows on the right side does not match the offset pattern of all of the other brick work. 4) The bricks are not level, plum, or laid flat. The surface looks jagged as you can see. 5) The color of bricks also do not match, they replaced 3 bricks in the bottom row on the left side. You can clearly see which ones they are. 6) The difference in the widths of the mortar joints in general on the brick around the porch is significant. They should all be uniform in width. 7) The mortar joints themselves should be smooth and shaped evenly through the entirely of the work. They are clearly not. Oddly enough, the brick work on the border of the walkway is relatively fine. I am not sure what happened on the porch. It is such poor craftsmanship that I cannot accept it. I don’t see any other option other than completely removing the brick border on the porch and redoing. In addition to the brick work, they also left A LOT of mortar residue on my concrete driveway and left the debris from the excavation in my backyard. If it was clean fill, I would not mind, but it ended up being almost all rock and pebbles. Rock up to 4” or 5” in diameter and A LOT of it. I cannot even run over that area with my lawnmower or it will damage it. I asked him to address this before I paid them and it appears they didn’t do it or did a poor job doing it. I should have checked that before I paid, but I just didn’t. There were a few other things not done to contract, but I did not mention them here, but may decide to as the resolution to these issues progress. Prior to being paid in full, Solid Brick Contract was quite responsive, fair in price, punctual, and professional and I would have rated them highly in these categories if they didn’t completely ignore my concerns after I paid them. This is the true test of a professional contractor in my opinion and I am sure others would agree. These are the picture of the work they did and they did essentially become unresponsive after I paid. This IS a HUGE flag if you are considering to hire them regardless of whether you think I am picky. They didn’t even come to my house to look at the issues yet, let alone address them. Good luck if you choose to go with this company, but I highly recommend going elsewhere.

Outstand, especially considering the problem of getting removal equipment in and out of our property. Mark Driver and team solved these problems with great equipment, professionalism and work ethic. Thank you, Mark.

Matthew helped install siding, storm door, lights/fans, cabinets, and enclosed our steps. He was very professional and thorough. Any questions we had he educated us along the way. His prices were great and we have used him for multiple projects. We even left him to work alone when we could be there for the entire job. I recommend giving him an opportunity to help you out!

Outstanding as usual. We have used Rock Spring Landscaping many times over a 10 year period on projects ranging inn scope from $6,000 to $600. As time goes by they are transforming the appearance of our property as well as providing valuable maintenance of a few trouble areas.

Harry and his crew were a delight to work with and greatly enhanced the look of our yard. Harry wound up giving me several estimates because the work changed over time. We thought we could get it done in the spring but the tree trimmers, whom I hired before Harry, defaulted on the job, so the weeding and mulching was moved to the fall. We had a lot of work to do and it took 5 young men two full days to complete the job. I highly recommend Mulch Masters as they are very professional and easy to work with, finding a way to do all I want without nickel and dimming on everything. I will definitely be using them again.
