Agape Physical Therapy at the Arena Club
Excellent, professional and friendly staff, excellent facilities at the Arena Club in Churchville...the warm salt-water therapy pool combined with the highly trained Agape staff is the best therapy I've encountered in my 65 years.  I would recommend to people of any age who suffer a joint or muscle injury or who have had related surgery---this will certainly hasten your recovery.  Even without specific injury, if you are out of shape, the therapists combined with the therapy pool will help you get back into good form in a buoyant atmosphere that is very low-impact and soothing.  The warm-up exercises and then training on specific muscle groups, as needed, will serve you well for years.
Again, the staff are all professionally trained; there is somewhat of a team approach, so you are never kept waiting, yet have all the benefits of different professionals' perspectives.  My highest recommendation.

Agape Physical Therapy at the Arena Club
Each session included a very tailored set of exercises in the pool ( an excellent , heated therapy pool at the Arena Club ) and hands-on physical therapy to work on each problem. Definitely NOT a one-size-fits-all approach! John Taylor and Brian Edwards are particularly knowledgeable, and very good at teaching you what you need to know to take better care of yourself in the future. With just one or two exceptions, most of the staff are kind, attentive, and consistently encouraging in getting you through the healing process. I had to be away for the month in the midst of my treatment program, and a senior therapist even corresponded with me by email to help me stay on track. I really looked forward to my sessions! Be patient, though. Physical therapy requires some retraining of your body, and that takes time. Also, be faithful a it doing the recommended exercises between sessions. I was fortunate that my insurance covered 60 sessions, and I really benefitted and learned so much that i am certain will continue to help me in years ahead. I can't recommend these people highly enough.

    Craig L. Chavis, DC
I went on Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday I could not lift my head off of the pillow. I was extremely nauseated and dizzy, with painful migraine headaches. I suffered thus through the weak getting slightly better each day, but with persistent nausea and migraine. I finally went back to my former chiropractor, Dr. David Ballenger in Timonium, who I had been seeing for 7 years. After a thorough neurological exam, he would not touch my back, but recommended that I attend the neurological department at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. I spent two days admitted to this hospital on a variety of drug therapies; fortunately there was no stroke or aneurism. Instead, there was swelling, edema, and complex migraine. I am continuing drug therapy and will have to return to see the neurologist in one week. Treatment will be followed by physical therapy; I live in Bel Air and will go 45 minutes to get to Sinai. Apparently, the vestibular PT is rather painful at first. The nerves to my ears were damaged, thus causing the nausea, and the nerves need to be reprogrammed.
I honestly don't know how anyone can take the kind of therapy Dr. Chavis dishes out.

    Ballenger, Dr. David
I saw Dr. Dave for five years of exemplary chiropractic care. He knew I have fibro-myalgia and treated me with gentle chiropractics, using the activator and pressure point stimulation. Dr. Dave will not exit your appointment until you are in a better state than when you walked in. He is thorough. Yes, he uses diversified for patients who require it; he did not use it on me due to my fibro. He seems to have a sixth sense as to what is needed with each patient and goes about accomplishing what needs to be done. I have never had such outstanding treatment as I got from Dr Dave. I will miss him terribly in that I have moved away from the area and must find someone closer to where I live.

    Towson Orthopaedic Associates
So far, so good. He recommended some physical therapy. It was a long wait time to see him and then he didn't spend a lot of time with us in the exam room. I was surprised that he didn't order a MRI or more testing - we're a family with a lot of knee problems - so I think we might be asking for more testing. However, we were able to get in pretty quickly to see him.

    Gold Medal Physical Therapy
The reason for the B rating on effectiveness of treatment is that I went from about 50% mobility/flexibility to almost 95%. I wish I could have regained full usage. I am pleased with what they were able to accomplish. And yes, I did do the exercises at home most of the time.

Agape Physical Therapy at the Arena Club
Agape Physical Therapy at the Arena Club was very professional. They get right down to working with me and they were very helpful in fixing my problem. They listened to me and they did not keep me on a schedule if I wanted to stay there for three hours. I can stay every two hours or they gave me lots of exercises to do at home to help my progress and they really wanted me to get better.

My first visit with Dotty was around July 2012 and I have continued to go to her ever since. I see her on a monthly visit and more often if I need an ER massage due to a fibromyalgia flare-up. Her prices are extremely fair and competitive. She is extremely personable and flexible. Although I have not had any facial, etc. done on me by Dotty yet, a few of my friends have and were pleased. I intended to utilize Dotty's expertise as an esthetician very soon.

I am currently going to physical therapy three times a week for recovery from rotator cuff surgery. The therapists at Agape have been great. Very caring. Lots of personal attention. Very impressed with everyone at Agape.
