  • Everything went extremely well. I found Grove a completely professional organization with highly skilled workers. Their plumber subcontractor handled the installation of all gas piping in my house, oversaw the hookup with BGE's gas line and installed the hot water heater. Grove provided a skilled crew of 5, with 2 working outside and 3 inside to remove all old equipment, do some duct repair and install the new air conditioner, gas furnace, humidifier and thermostat in 2 days. They also removed all debris from the worksite and swept it clean. Their work proposal included a year's maintenance, which I feel sure will be equally satisfactory. This was a big project (3 days including the plumber), but I am confident they would handle both small and large jobs with the same competence and professionalism. I highly recommend them.

  • Guy showed up over an hour late. Made the leak worse. Called back to have it re-evaluated. Took time off work. Didnt show up. Called up again, same guy, no idea what he was doing. At first tried to tell me a I needed a new water heater. Eventually came to conclusion expansion tank needed replaced once he had broken the threads on it. I asked about the cost and I already new cost of new expansion tank. His estimate included another call out fee, even though he had worsened damaged the problem beyond a straight forward patch up. Guy was rude and kept having to make calls to find out what he should be doing. I went to home depot, replaced the threads and fixed the issue for less than $40.

  • Gentleman was highly professional; explained what he was doing at each step in the process and made sure I understood how to check my own system in the future. When I mentioned my gas fireplace hadn't been checked in a while, he offered to do it on the spot, despite that not being part of the original trouble call. Fixed my heat, checked and cleaned the fireplace, all in less than two hours, for a very reasonable price. Haven't had a problem since, but if I do, I will definitely be using these folks again.

  • When your water heater dies and floods your basement, you want the job done, NOW. I did some quick but thorough research to identify the best replacement available, called around to identify local contractors who handled that brand , and settled on Brumwell. Within 24 hours, they arrived, completed the job, and job left the work area pristine. Who knew there were anal retentive plumbers? If the need ever arises, I will use them again, and I highly recommend them.

  • They were prompt and courteous. Bit more expensive than other providers but ended up going with them when they offered to price match against comparable equipment. Ultimate decision came down to their warranty which was better than the standard 1 yr with other providers and actually as long as I pay the annual maintenance after the initial period, the warranty labor and parts will be extended with it as well. Also I figure they will still be in business 10+ years in the future to service my warranty. As for the install, they came on time, laid down coverings in their work area, booties on their feet and cleaned up after themselves. They did all the warranty paperwork, scheduled the inspection and when the water heater failed inspection for a minor thing, they came back and fixed it and rescheduled the inspection. The only slight trouble was getting in trouble with the right department to figure out who was to remedy the inspection failure. Other than that, I had a good experience. Even when I noticed a back cover plate on the thermostat (which they upgraded to a wifi one with the price match) was pretty scratched up when installed, they sent someone out promptly to replace.

  • Did a good job tho it took all day. He knew his tasks but was a not knowledgeable about faucets and outlets--although he claimed to know. He also was selling goods and services where ever he could. I will bring him in only for water heater/pump issues as I bought the warranty. I thought the prices were excessive and will get more than one opinion the next time I have those needs.

  • before 3/28/16 Navien Tankless Water heater stopped making hot water & required a reset sporadically (once every 2 to 3 weeks) 3/28/16 Heidler performed maintenance and replaced Flame Rod & Flow Sensor After 3/28/16 to 4/20/16 water temperature varied and heater needed to be reset once every 1 or 2 days 4/20/16 technician said that this was all new error codes and replaced Air Pressure Sensor, Gas Pressure Sensor and hoses 4/20/16 to date water heater needs to be reset almost each time we want to use hot water 4/25/16 Heidler came back and checked gas pressure and air intake. They then asked us to document each time the system went off and the error code 5/3/16 Heidler replaced gas regulator and said that Navien recommended replacing a gas valve 5/4/16 Steve Heidler recommended replacing the unit instead of the gas valve for $4,200 they would discount this to $3,000 The unit they recommended costs less than $1,800 with sales tax and not including a plumbers discount. If they had done this with a gun to our head, it would be called robbery. Heidler calls it excellent service. After 4 visits where I had to be available on the days THEY could schedule and then the schedule was a 4 hour window, I gave up. For me there is no customer satisfaction when Heidler charges high rates and does not fix the problem. When I discussed this with Steve Heidler, he takes no ownership in the problem. He blames the manufacturer. That may seem ok to him to blame anybody else, but I believe I paid a premium for professional services to fix a problem. Heidler only wasted my time and made the problem worse.

  • The guys were so rough with everything. I was upset with it all in the first place. I have been very dismayed about the people that Home Depot supplies to do work. They double charged us for a safety valve on the hot water heater. They never got us reimbursed by way of the company who did it. They, actually, gave us a gift card instead and I don't understand that at all. They had to at least work reasonably with the type of things - the plumbing and all that they had to do. I had a safety pan on the bottom of the old water heater and that was a total wreck. The guy is trying to give it back to me - taking his pliers, trying to straighten it out. I found that absurd. They just seem to have people that are just mis-trained or rough on things. They responded within the time that they had given. I had no problem there. I have promised myself and my wife never to use them again.
