While I appreciated the amount of information given, and the excellent interpretation of my MRI, the doctor told me he would not repair all of the rotator cuff tears found. When I asked why, he would not give me a reason. I tried to make it clear that as a very active person, only getting 1 or 2 tears done would not give me confidence to resume my normal activities. I also attempted to explain my right shoulder injuries, which were the same tears, and had all been repaired, had given me complete confidence to not only work, but to go back to my hobbies. He did not respond.  I gave some thought to negotiating which body parts to fix, but then I decided that since this is my life, my arm, my shoulder, I wasn't going to compromise.
I had a bad feeling, and I did not trust this outfit to do what I felt was right for me. As soon as I walked out of his office, I called my former orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion.  After reviewing the MRI, my first orthopedic surgeon recomendended surgery ASAP. We set the date.
As soon as I made that appointment, I called this organization and closed out my account, and cancelled all appointments.
The next day, I got a call from the first doctor, wanting to know why I closed out everything. He was rather abrupt, and a little belligerent.  When I told him my first surgeon was going fix all 3 tears, he wanted to know why. I said it was because of the MRI results, my past rotator cuff injuries and because this was my preference.
    He hung up on me.

The covering doctor ordered an MRI on Friday but there was zero followup for the entire weekend and I ended up waiting 5 extra hours in the hospital on Sunday for a boot that I needed in order for them to release me. Needless to say I was not pleased at that point. I looked into other orthopedists and had trouble getting an appointment within 2 weeks of my call. Since no one had reviewed my MRI with me I did not know if I was going to need surgery so I wanted to see someone ASAP. I called this practice and was able to get in within a couple of days. Dr. Spirt was very friendly and did a good job explaining the injury and the prognosis. I would recommend her.

The doctor actually did surgery. The doctor was very knowledgeable, an expert in caring, I had a specific shoulder problem. He was thorough in his exam, and explaining all surgical and nonsurgical options. He was very timely in understanding of giving a nonsurgical option time and then discussing the surgical options to fix the problem. The surgical procedure was done and I am six to seven weeks out from surgery now and the outcome has been superb. The postoperative care was very well explained and followed. I have minimal pain and discomfort. Within a week of having surgery I was having less pain than I had had before surgery. It looks to me as pretty good. What really stands out is his care for the patients, listening to the patients, knowledgeable in his field and successful surgery.

I was having knee pain in September. I went to see the surgeon and he did an MRI. The MRI came back inconclusive and they sent me to physical therapy. During the course of therapy, the therapist said she could not help me anymore and that I needed a knee replacement. The insurance company said I needed to continue with therapy. Dr. MacDonald fought the insurance company to get a second MRI. The second MRI showed that I had no blood circulating to me knee and my knee cap was disintegrating. The surgery went extremely well and I felt better immediately after the surgery.

One of my daughters has had knee problems since she was 12. He is an awesome doctor. He has done quite a number of surgeries on her. He is the only doctor she will let her touch her knees. He was referred by the head of the athletic department who they used and they gave us Garrett Lynch's name.

Practice is impossible to contact via phone. I had to go to the office to change a date, while there, another patient was doing the same thing. This practice does not have handicap door openers. A significant oversight for a practice with many mobility challenged patients. Waiting times ranged from reasonable to extremely long.

I liked the fact that he did not rush into surgery. He prescribed trying a non invasive treatment plan first.
