Shoulder Pain reviews in Annapolis

I've been extremely pleased with Dr. Srikumaran. I was initially impressed with Dr Srikumaran's professional yet very personable manner. He presents himself as very competent and confident but not in any way arrogant. Dr. Srikumaran ordered X-rays and an MRI and identified the cause of the pain as tears in the rotator cuff and the biceps tendon. He thoroughly explained the anatomy involved and what was going on in my shoulder. He explained the options and recommended beginning with a steroid injection, physical therapy and naprosyn.
After two months of physical therapy, the therapist, Dr Srikumaran and I agreed that I had gone as far in recovery as therapy would take me. I still had some pain when I made a full circle "windmill" fashion with my arm. Since swimming is my preferred form of exercise I found this result to be unacceptable. He explained that the next step would be surgery. He explained the procedure, the risk of complications, and the expectations for recovery.
The morning of the surgery he came to see me beforehand and answered all my questions patiently and completely. Following surgery he met with my wife and explained the what to expect during my recovery.
After the surgery he was very responsive to my concerns about pain management and has been available to answer questions. After 6 weeks he says my recovery is progressing exactly as he had hoped it would. There is still a little stiffness and the range of motion is limited which he told me allows more time for the tendons to heal.
