  • Dr. Canary and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate about making sure that my hearing was and is the best it can be, he took his time to explain every detail and also helped us understand both the technical and relational aspects of hearing and being heard.   • I believe that my father, Dr. Gregory Smith, would still be with us today, rather than having passed away of a massive heart attack during a humanitarian trip to China just days after visiting this practice had Dr. Groszkowski given him print out results of his EKG test and referred him to a Cardiologist.

  • While I appreciated the amount of information given, and the excellent interpretation of my MRI, the doctor told me he would not repair all of the rotator cuff tears found. When I asked why, he would not give me a reason. I tried to make it clear that as a very active person, only getting 1 or 2 tears done would not give me confidence to resume my normal activities. I also attempted to explain my right shoulder injuries, which were the same tears, and had all been repaired, had given me complete confidence to not only work, but to go back to my hobbies. He did not respond.  I gave some thought to negotiating which body parts to fix, but then I decided that since this is my life, my arm, my shoulder, I wasn't going to compromise.
    I had a bad feeling, and I did not trust this outfit to do what I felt was right for me. As soon as I walked out of his office, I called my former orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion.  After reviewing the MRI, my first orthopedic surgeon recomendended surgery ASAP. We set the date.
    As soon as I made that appointment, I called this organization and closed out my account, and cancelled all appointments.
    The next day, I got a call from the first doctor, wanting to know why I closed out everything. He was rather abrupt, and a little belligerent.  When I told him my first surgeon was going fix all 3 tears, he wanted to know why. I said it was because of the MRI results, my past rotator cuff injuries and because this was my preference.
    He hung up on me.

  • I was floored at the hateful demeanor of this doctor. He left me waiting in the waiting room for about 45 minutes. Then when I'm called in, I'm called into his office, not an examination room. He snidely asked me how he could help me like I was wasting his time. This guy did absolutely nothing but condescendingly talk to me, yet he still got paid by my insurance company for an office visit. He should have his license to practice revoked.

  • Have visited Dr. Marcalus as my regular internist for about 8-9 years. Making appts. is very easy, often the same day if need be and for sure the next. There is essentially no wait in the waiting room and usually less than 10 mins while seeing the nurse first for taking vitals, etc. Visits with Dr. Marcalus average 30 mins though I've been there longer. No bums-rush like most docs that have to see six or more patients an hour to make a profit. There is a phlebotomist available all day so no visits to outside labs for blood work.  Dr. Marcalus keeps in contact by e-mail, text and I have his cell number if needed. I feel I can contact him anytime. Most importantly, I (and my spouse) feel he cares about our health and that he has the knowledge and experience to do so.

  • I like him very much. He's an internist but he also treats a lot of Parkinson's patients. He always has enough time. He listen to what I say, seems to be on top of everything and he uses a computer to keep notes so all the information is readily available. He doesn't have to go through paper notes. His staff is nice. They're very kind people and I like the building its in. Overall its a pretty good experience. They seem to be very clean and up to date. Parkinson's is just a long-term condition and I think he's doing a good job in treating me. They are very available. I will definitely use them again.

  • She is awesome. She is not in a group. It is just her, every time I go I see her. She does have a nurse practitioner but we mostly deal with her. She delivered both of my daughters and she did a wonderful job.

  • I go to them for internal medicine. The doctors are very good. They spend time with you talking and explaining things. You do not feel rushed. It is a large practice. The staff is fine. They have a walk in clinic for a cold or fever, availability now is very good.

  • It turned out great. I've been seeing him for 10-15 years. He's a great guy, he listens and works very hard to resolve problems. The office environment is good, he has a large staff and referrals are always provided whenever i ask and in a couple hours turn around. They are great.

  • I liked the fact that I could park right in front of Dr. Malta's office, and he was adequate for my needs since I am basically in good health.  However, he works a short week, and at one point did a survey on weather his patient's would pay an additional fee for a 'boutique" doctor (better phone access etc.).  Ultimately that is what he did, but I had already changed to a different doctor.  My husband died of cancer in 2010.  A friend that had lost her husband to cancer suggested that we use our Internist to treat symptoms.  We had the first appointment in the morning with Dr. Malta.  When we arrived, there was nobody else in the waiting room.  Soon the room filled up, and then it emptied.  Finally, having waited several hours, we were taken into an exam room and waited some more.  My husband was too sick to wait any longer, and we left.  He had a radiation appointment an hour later.  He died a couple of weeks after that.  Of course, people feel worthless when they're very sick, and being ignored exacerbated that feeling of depression.  I mentioned my disappointment to Dr. Malta.  He cut me off with a loud voice, and that was the end of it.  I knew I wouldn't be his patient for much longer.  Really, it was cruel to keep a patient that was that sick waiting a very long time.  My impression of Dr. Malta is that he feels that he is overworked and underpaid.  Therefore, he has worked a short week and has asked for a surcharge from each patient.
