Let me run out of oil while on auto-delivery and did not listen to me when I told them it was low, guaranteed I would not run out because they kept track, while I ran out of oil that night. Said they would come in the morning between 8 & 10 am with a technician to prime the furnace and a small supply of oil until the truck come come two days later- took off work sat in the cold for a NO SHOW. Called while I waited on hold an hour and was told they would be there between 7 & 10 pm another NO SHOW. Called and waited for over an hour and they said there would be there by midnight while I waited up for them they were a NO SHOW. Was then told I would be the first appt in the morning at 8 am, unbelievably, they were a NO SHOW. Called again to fire them, they said they would send a technician and oil delivery that day I told them I was not going to count on it after they let me run lout on auto delivery and didn't show up for 4 times over two days while I had no heat. I went out and got some diesel at the gas station and put in in my oil tank and contacted Griffiths who sent a technician within a half hour. People say that companies don't care and I really don't expect a business to care about me but there is a professional standard if they want my business and this company doesn't care and has no professional standards.

Excellent! The team arrived promptly as scheduled and performed the work efficiently and professionally. They satisfactorily answered all the home owners many concerns both during the tank removal and the installations of the new equipment. After the work was completed the job site was neatly returned to its original state. Also, the billing and administrative work was performed in a very friendly and expeditious manner by the office personnel.

For TERRIBLE customer service, high prices and shady work- head to Murphy's! My husband and I contacted Murphy's about filling our oil tank this winter. We'd had a cheaper company (by $0.30!) tell us they'd have to remove some of our decking in order to get to the pipe. To avoid that, we called Murphy's whom we knew the previous owner of our home had used in the past. We spoke to two people at Murphy's, one of which being the delivery driver who claimed he had been to our home and delivered oil without damaging the decking. We decided to pay more money for the delivery with Murphy's to keep our deck in place. The day of the delivery, we came home to see that the decking had simply been ripped up by the driver without as much as a courtesy call to tell us he'd ruined our deck. When I called Murphy's to express my displeasure the OWNER told me I was lying about his pricing being higher (I wasn't- Kero-Del in Glen Burnie was exactly 30 cents cheaper) and there's no way the driver did such a thing and hung up on me. This was my first time using Murphy's oil and it will be my last. That's certainly not the way to gain customers.

We have an agreement with them. They check out our air conditioner and furnace; they do it all. I think the price is $90 a year. They are responsive, on time, punctual and they answer questions sufficiently. They do a good job.

Provider is under contract to service and maintain heating and air conditioning at residence - heat has gone out at least 10 times this winter - with increasing frequency as the weather has gotten colder. This is equipment they installed and are supposed to maintain, using oil they deliver. The outages have increased to a daily basis this week, with no explanation of the root cause or any attempt to fix the root cause. The service staff sent are frequently new, without sufficient experience and no apparent commitment to resolve the clients' long term issues with their equipment and service.

    Researching alternate providers asap.

During coldest days of winter, Griffith offered fastest delivery at best price in local market. Mike from the office was friendly and informative and the service backed him up. we also had a service technician come provide a tune up. He was prompt and worked efficiently. We have since 100% of business to Griffith.

Jeanie (Genie?) who we worked with on the phone the past two days was superb. She set it all up quickly and got us a good rate. She even dropped my first time fill rate to $3.399/gal as part of a military discount. Thanks!
B/c our tank is outside, we didn't even realize Griffith came buy and dropped off another 210+ gallons of fuel.
We'll definitely be sticking with Griffith for oil heat.

Excellent experience! Great combination of family-owned business and very knowledgeable owner. Greg, owner, serviced oil furnace and happily explained, and showed me, exactly what he did. For example, I now have a very good understanding of my Riello burner parts and how they work (e.g., fuel nozzle and turbulator). Greg explained the barometric damper and air adjustment smoke tests and adjusted the air intake. Greg showed me the sludge on my filter ( I have it changed every year) and suggested I add an oil treatment to my tank every so often. My oil tank is only four years old so I never really thought about this but Greg talked about all the tanks the fuel oil is in before it gets to my tank.
Greg and I discussed my oil furnace vent pipe and flue gas condensation. Greg meticulously explained the factors causing this and suggested I consider a tee with clean out section. I did some research and decided this was perfect for my situation. Melinda, Greg's wife, and I priced out the section ( a little expensive since I have a stainless steel vent pipe). We ordered the Duravent stainless steel tee section with clean out and two weeks later Greg came out to install it. Again, great service! Greg even took the existing stainless steel 90 degree elbow and used it to replace the 90 degree galvanized elbow inside the furnace panel at no charge. Total charge about $225.
I highly recommend GreenDean and plan on using them to service my air conditioner and oil furnace for years to come.

Been getting oil from Murphy's for several years now. Always next day service even after heavy snow. Never checked prices but understand they are competitive.
Disregard service date and cost entries - they're just dummy entries.

The multiple problems were a result of our ignorance as first-time home buyers not knowing what we were doing (like unknowingly flipping on and off the emergency oil burner switch), but the guy was very helpful in explaining how the system worked. He even showed us where the thermostat for the electric baseboard heater was located (not their responsibility). They charged us for the oil and starting up the furnace, but tips and information were thrown in for free.
