  • The technician who was writing the quote did not under the make and model and what was needed to be included. It turned out that the part that I thought needed to be included wasn't in his quote. That was one of the reasons why t turned out higher. And then he said they would have to inspect for hidden damages, and I told him I didn't want that but he put it down anyway and I was charged for that. That was disappointing on the part of the technician, he didn't know what he was talking about. They need more qualified technicians.

  • It started out very poorly, the technician who was taking all the information didn't seem to know what he was talking about. He didn't know the particular car that I had brought in, and he didn't know all the details I thought an auto body shop should have about that particular make and model. He had trouble even finding the registration number, so I had to find it for him, so I was not pleased with him. He included things in the estimate that I really didn't want but he wouldn't take out. The work was done very nicely by the other technicians. It was more than they quoted, and that's one of the things that really irritated me. When I went in to complain to this individual about the fact that he blew his estimate and he should have known something was needed and it wasn't included in his estimate, he just blew me off. He said "just forget it" and I said "It looks like you did a good job, but I'll never use Jeff's Auto Body again". Other than that, it was fine. They need better service technicians, this guy didn't know what he was talking about. I was very upset and gave this feedback on a comment card.

  • I chose this body shop because my previous experience with the Ford dealer had not gone so well. I was assured that the shop had experience with hybrids and this would not be a problem for them to fix. I'm not so sure it was that easy for them, though. The repairs took over a month, after having had a 2-3 week estimate. The delay was explained as having been a question of not being able to get the right parts. The owners of the shop were very attentive and despite having some personal problems at the same time did make special concessions. I'm not sure if I'd use them again because of the delays involved. But that said, I believe they did the best they could considering they are a small shop.

  • They repaired the front end of my Civic car after an accident. They were very friendly and professional.  They helped my contact my insurance company and expedite the paperwork they needed. They gave me a ride up to the car rental so I wouldn't have to walk.  The work was completed on time and looks great.  They washed my car.  I would definitely recommend this company.

  • 2016 marked the 65th year for me and the 20th year for my TL 2.5 Acura.  One of us was due for a face lift.  I chose the car.
I went to several auto body shops in search of reversing some of her obvious blemishes -- paint peel on the hood with some rust spots; noticeable deep scratches on both sides of the back bumper; a severe indentation caused by an "adventurous" cyclist and the black trim around the windows, that once offset the white color, had faded over the years (she's not garaged kept).
Yet her engine is noble; her reliability, irrefutable and with millage less than 100,000, I expected a little better respect from shops on my search.  Some dismissed me with "Why spend money on an old car?" or " At 20 years, isn't it time to join the 21st century?"
One shop gave a respectable quote of $1,578.00.  But, I opted for Darrin's crew (yes, with an "i") for the obvious cheaper price and his "A" rating with Angie's, but the other component was Darrin himself.  He was thorough with his assessment; he gaged the amount of time to complete (which was right on point); made it easy for delivery and even delivered her back to me some 25 miles down the road.  I think this last perk was the "little old lady with no wheels" line.
Even "that" didn't surpass my first gaze at my new "old Acura". She looked great!  Back to her old self.  She even drives differently, like she's primed to take on all those younger start-ups out there by sheer dignity.  Something I understand.  As retirees, it is important that you respect us.  After all, "You are never too old to become younger!" - Mae West

  • Contacted Carty's due to prior positive experience with repairs to my car. However on this occasion Carty's completely lied about there ability to perform work to repair a broken adaptive headlamp to my BMW. Carty's office manager quoted me a fair price for parts and labor, and claimed they could perform the service. The following day I received a call that the work was completed, however upon further review at checkout I found the adaptive headlamp still not working at all. At that point the office manager then admits that they couldn't reset the adaptive headlamp as originally claimed. I am then instructed by the office manager to take my car to a BMW dealership to have the headlamp repaired which will cost significantly more money.

  • Tony and crew took special care to bring the car back to former glory.  Work was done so well, you'd never know it was in an accident -- especially key when you consider the age of the car. It's MY classic but some wouldn't treat it that way.  These guys did, paying close attention to matching the unusual green color.

Update:  Two months later, the Volvo sustained another injury after a car backed into the front end in an attempt to park. It sustained scratches and paint remover on the front passenger side.  Once again, this group performed their magic; transferring it back to its original state in a day using leftover paint from the first job.  Labor was $103.00.

At first glance on this second trip, I noticed some of the bruising bleeding through, but the comment caused immediate action to rectify the problem.  If the phrase "The customer is always right" seems a bit old-timey, these guys take it seriously.

  • Panther Auto Body did an excellent job repairing the front end of my car.  The car was ready early and the cost exactly matched the quote.  Communication was superb and scheduling the repairs was easy.  The owner really cares about his customers and the quality of the work.  I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

  • Overall, it was a positive experience. The Venza was a certified pre-owned vehicle. Russel Toyota wanted to charge us for the certification. We pointed out that the cost of certifying should be theirs, not ours. The vehicle was dented, which they offered to repair at no cost. Overall good experience, would buy from them again.

  • I found Panther Auto Body here on Angie's list after being unhappy with local, large collision center's attitude. I needed my front grille swapped with another and removing the front bumper was required to effect the swap. Not a huge, complicated job, but I needed someone that I felt I could trust with a rather expensive piece of hardware. Pete (and helper, sorry did not get your name) did a great job and from start to finish it was clear that they cared about the quality of their work, proceeded with finesse without forcing anything or hurrying through the process. There were more than a few fiddly steps to get through so very glad I did not try this with a friend who was very anxious to DIY. Step by step, they reversed the process and the job was done. I could not ask for nicer folks in Pete, Mary and crew. I highly recommend Panther to anyone. Give them a shot as I'm sure you'll be happy with the finished product!
