    LILLY SPORT BOATS
Lilly Sport Boats is an extraordinary maintenance shop. The entire team from the owners to the mechanics is passionate about sport boating. The communication is excellent and the quality of the service is phenomenal. I highly recommend this shop. You will not be dissapointed by the work and the enthusiasm of the team.

    A1 Marine Constructions Inc
It was a huge huge project, as you can tell from the cost. I had received a number of different estimates, including the ones from A1 Marine and my preference was to work with a family run business instead of a contractor, who has been hiring out someone else. The owner of the company actually is out doing some work with his workpeople and his pricing was very great compared to the other contractors I had contacted. After all the permitting was done, which takes a while, the timeline was followed very well when he was out here working. On days he could not work either due to weather or any other issues, because they did it in the winter, he would call and tell me he was not going to be here. His expectations for finishing, the job was done on time. He was replacing an old dock and actually raised it, because he felt it was too low for the tide, which was very helpful when we had the hurricane last summer. The dock was magnificently riprapped. It was done flat, as you do not want the rocks just kind of thrown in there, but they were very carefully and meticulously laid so the tide goes up and down on the rocks on an easy keel. He always cleaned up after he was done. When the job was finished we were very very pleased him. We just thought we got excellent excellent service, and I could not imagine anybody doing it any better.

    Holiday Point Marina
I need to explain that the last time we used Holiday Point was prior to our having to give up our 36' sailboat. We had used Holiday Point always for hauling, bottom cleaning and painting and all sorts of maintain like repair to fibreglass and, engine plus installation of equipment. The marina is family owned and owners Maureen and Ron are almost always on the premises. Hard working Pat, the office manage is always there, handling the difficult task of hauling schedules, and maintenance work. The marina itself is so conveniently located at the mouth of the South River. There is access to fuel nearby but they do not offer it. It is a basic old-time friendly marina and worth using even though it does not have a pool or  fancy rest rooms. But the work done is sure modern.

    Ferry Point Marina
I called to see when I could bring my damaged kayak in for them to take a look at. On my way there I got a bit lost, but Kim stayed on the phone and guided me in until she was sure that I was in the right place. Once there, they had a number of people take a look at the boat, and once it was determined that the boat was not fixable, they offered to type up a letter on the spot to that effect. At every point I felt that they were focused on the customer and paid attention to all of the small details-- this, to me, is the mark of a great business.

    Campbells Towne Creek
They are family owned, and there are about 20 slips on the secluded creek. It is a very serene and beautiful setting. The workers are very cordial and helpful.  It is located in a historic area, and well kept and lit.

    PAUL'S REPAIRS INC
He was very easy to understand. he will go over everything with you and list the issues. He will call you before he does any work. He works on all types of boats. He did a great job and I would recommend him to others. He is very punctual and responds quick to my needs.

    PODICKORY POINT YACHT CLUB
It is a nice place. Conveniently located on the Chesapeake Bay. Charlie the manager is a really good guy. Easy to work with. They have a pool for the kids. It was a good place. It had a clubhouse and pool. The dry dock, it is like a gridiron structure with three levels to keep boats in. The reason I stopped using them was the rust was ruining my boat. It actually got to be quite messy. I would use them again in the future.

    ESSEX MARINA & BOAT SALES
They have been very helpful. Two years ago there was a big storm coming and we were not able to take the sails off. The asked us if they would do it for us. They charged us something for it but it was reasonable. In the spring, we have them do the winterization for the engine and water system. We get them to repaint below the water line. They also wash and wax it.
