  • Everything went extremely well. Thomas Johnson, who did the service, was very professional. He explained everything to me in detail. He was upfront about the pricing. He actually did the work much faster than I expected. I feel he saved me a lot of money. I was afraid that I would have to buy a new water heater (which I may have to do down the road), but for now, I can save my money and continue using my old water heater for a while longer. The bathroom work also went well. No complaints. I would definitely use this company again for any of my plumbing needs. Very reliable work.

  • Falal was very prompt (well within the assigned window), extremely professional (introducing himself and placing his feet protectors on BEFORE stepping into the house), actively listening, trustworthy, and very courteous when advising about the problem, the solution and the estimate. Very knowledgeable about the profession. We will DEFINITELY be using 24/7 Plumbing & Drain LLC via Angie's List.

  • Very bad service. First, the plumber told me repeatedly that two plumbers were fired in the same week, so he was very back-up and behind schedule in his service calls. Second, the plumber didn't fix the problem of my runny toilet; however, I still had to pay for the so-called replacement part that didn't work. Third, after making several excuses for not stopping by during the week to fix the problem, he stopped by during the weekend (after hours) to try to fix it again. Finally, after doing some homework and research online, I told him the part that he should use, and sure enough, the part that I recommended actually worked - but only after paying him more money "off the books" to get the job done. As a professional, he should have been the one to do the research online himself rather than me. And to make matters worse, when I initially called to schedule the first appointment, the plumber never showed up. When I called customer service to complain, they claimed they called me about the "no show" appointment, but I have no record of their phone call. I have used ARS for years for inspections for my furnace and A/C. system. I have a contract with them. They also installed my new furnace, A/C, water heater and other major work years ago. I always felt that I could trust them for plumbing - but NO more. I will never call them again for any plumbing work. I felt humiliated and extremely taken advantage of. As a busy professional, I just don't have time to shop around that much. You try to rely on companies that you used in the past and thought you could trust, but again, I will NEVER use ARS again for any plumbing work.

  • From the initial visit and quote, Basement Innovations was great. I had three contractors come in to quote the same job. Mike Doolittle was a great contact - honest, frank and willing to work within the constraints we had - for a great price. The project lasted two days. On both days the team arrived on time, and explained each step as it was being completed. Chris, the team lead - answered all of my questions - and was able to make changes/decisions on the fly without adding cost to the job. At the end of the job, the team cleaned up the property and hauled away all of the debris, leaving the space clean. I highly recommend Basement Innovations for any waterproofing needs.

  • I was referred to Grove by a family member after receiving estimates from two other companies. Garrett Grove arrived on time to provide an estimate. He was efficient, knowledgeable and unlike the other two companies, did not waste my time with a bunch of useless chatter. After reviewing my system, he was able to write up and print out an estimate on the spot. He went over the warranty and explained what all was included in the installation price. This process took approximately one hour. I went with the high efficiency system which vented to the outside of the house rather than up the chimney. After showing me what the outside venting would look like, I was not pleased with the appearance of the vents so Garrett showed me an alternative. Unlike the other sales people, Garrett was able to show me brochures with pictures and information of exactly what I was buying and online images so I knew precisely what I was getting. A down payment was made and a date established for installation. The team arrived on time and went about their job with little disruption to my household. I was kept informed of the progress and was told when I would lose water and/or heat while the installation was performed. I was consulted along the way as to where I wanted various pipes vented to the outside. The job took two days to complete. When the men were finished, they cleaned up the work site and showed me various points about the system, set up the thermostat and explained how it worked. While Grove's system was certainly not the least expensive, I am confident that I received a quality system and installation, and anticipate that I will continue to receive quality service in the future.

  • All went really, really well. David & Peter did a fantastic job, their crew was professional and focused and I was really happy with simply everything. In the past, the remodel jobs I had done, the finish work was kind of junky. I learned that finishings are really the major part of a job. Anyone can knock down a wall. I always admired houses where you can look around you and see quality and how precise and clean the job is. I never had that experience until now. It just looks so nice. It's a joy to walk into the house with the confidence that everything was done right. So happy with everything. Everyone who sees my house loves-loves-loves it. Was the project problem free? Heck no. Expect problems. The most important thing I learned over decades of remodeling is how does the contractor respond to those problems, can I communicate concerns/ideas and will the contractor receive it well and respect where I'm coming from. David and Peter addressed all of the issues that came up promptly and they respected my input. This was a major project for me. It wasn't cheap, but it was well done and I have not had any problems whatsoever since they finished. I am just so glad it was not a situation like it was in the past for me where you have profound issues with your contractor by the end of the job. It was a great experience and I could not recommend them highly enough!

  • Called Jiffy at about 9.30 am on a Sunday, Customer Service was "Outstanding". Promised a tech would be there in two to three hours. Tech arrived at 12:25 was courteous and very professional. He did some inspection and checks, gave an estimate which I accepted. He completed the job and cleaned up in about an hour. I paid and was a very satisfied customer. After he left I remembered seeing a discount on Jiffy's web site for Angie's List Customers of 11 percent. The following I called Jiffy ,explained my lapse and requested the discount be honored. Customer Service took a moment to bring up my info and without hesitation said "Sir, I will make the adjustment to your bill." This contractor was found on Angie's list.

  • The man who came out did a phenomenal job! Even the person on the phone was helpful and friendly. The owner came out to handle the polybutylene pipe system, as it is a major thing. The pricing was high, but I was pleased.

  • It went very smoothly and quickly. Alex was efficient, professional and courteous. It took two visits as the sink facet had to be ordered. They scheduled the appointments on the days and times we wanted (asap).

  • Unfortunately, the drain was no better after the service and progressively got worse. I decided to take on this task myself. I purchased a household powered snake and battery at Home Depot for about $130. I used the snake on the main drain. With a small amount of patience the snake broke through the clog in the main drain, the drain worked quite well immediately, and we've never had a problem since. On top of the failure to complete the job successfully, a professional plumber in the neighborhood told me that we had been overcharged by Definitive Plumbing. The cost charged would normally have been applied for snaking the main drain in a home, while the cost for the tub drain would have been more in the $200+ range.
