    TERRIBLE. This gym should be condemned. Before Covid literally every single machines was covered in dust, the second floor reeked of mold, the hand weights and such are old, rusty and falling apart. This gym is ALWAYS empty because it's so bad. Any location you go to is empty. They will not follow Massachusetts state law to let you out your contracts. They send in you in circles, and fight with you over email. SO low-class. I would only recommend this gym to my worst enemy.

    I got the chance to work with William for a few months just prior to Christmas. I was getting married and my grandmother who at the time was much slimmer than me, so I had a lot of motivation to get into that dress. My mother knew William from the gym that she went to and since he was leaving the military she thought it would be good to have someone to make sure I wasn't goofing off. At first I was worried that he would yell at me but he was very patient but firm, he has very good at motivating and at times he worked out along me. The workouts he came up with were intense and at the end of the day there was no doubt I had worked out. After 3 and 1/2 months I lost about 18lbs I went from 148 to 130. I was so happy and I will continue to work with William whenever I am back in the Boston area.

    Core Correctives provides the best personal training in the Boston area. Raisha is meticulous and comprehensive in her approach and it shows in the results. She takes a holistic view of health and fitness which includes elements of nutrition, flexibility, strength and cardio. The way these elements are balanced out in sessions will depend on your personal goals. I have been working on strength training and my fiancée has focused primarily on weight loss. We are both extremely pleased with our results so far. Raisha started us with individual fitness assessments then drew up unique, practical nutritional plans for each of us in a nutritional session. She provided us with home programs to work on outside of her sessions and these are adjusted as necessary depending on where the current focus is. She spent most of our earlier fitness sessions focusing on muscle release and flexibility to prepare our bodies for exercise. She also pays attention early on to small muscles that are underused in a modern lifestyle and therefore strain easily during exercise. She builds up slowly and safely from there and the results over time are genuinely impressive. Raisha does a lot of work on trigger points and deep tissue massage, especially early on. This type of work can be quite painful, particularly with muscles have atrophied or seized up over years of sitting at a desk or slouching on the sofa. Do not let that put you off! It's absolutely worth working through this part of the program because it's critical for avoiding injury and for general muscle health.  I suffered from pain and nerve problems in my back, chest and arms for many years and I was seeing little to no improvement while working with neurologists, drugs, chiropractors, physiotherapists, and acupuncturists. After a few months of working with Raisha these problems are almost all gone. My fiancée has struggled to lose weight on her own before. She has been successfully and progressively shedding the pounds since she started the program. She's feeling healthier and better overall now than she has in years.   Core correctives are on the expensive side but I believe that their program is great value when you take into account the preparation, the detailed approach and the results. We are both absolutely delighted about the work that Core Correctives has done with us. Neither of us would have any hesitation in recommending their service.

    I have been going to Fitness Together in Andover, MA for almost two years, and I love it.  I joined with the intention of losing weight to feel better.  I did not anticipate loving strength training.  I also didn?t realize how important the motivation and accountability was until I started with the Fitness Together system.  Not only do I get one-on-one personal training with guidance on form so I don?t hurt myself, I receive personalized nutrition counseling when I want it, and a weekly weigh in that keeps me accountable.  Amy (the owner) is my personal trainer, and we review my food logs when I request it, and she provides me with the encouragement that I need.  I love that every six weeks, Amy performs a ?retest? so we can track progress that may not be immediately apparent, such as flexibility, and percent body fat.  The most recent ?retest? showed that I was down 4 pounds overall in the last six weeks, but almost 7 pounds in fat because my muscle mass had increased. Benefits: Guided weight lifting that makes sure you progress and have proper form Weekly weigh in On-going encouragement 6 week re-tests where body measurements are taken, as well as flexibility assessments and a short fitness test to show progress Goal setting for every six weeks Change in workouts every six weeks Nutritional counseling on demand where we actually review my food logs together Tailored nutritional plan Tailored workouts

    Working with Justin and his crew has been great. I get workouts tailored to my needs and ability, with the encouragement and push to help me keep getting stronger and fitter. I have lost 20 pounds, 4 dress sizes, and no longer have the back pain and sciatica I had. My bad knees are better as my legs have gotten stronger. I strongly recommend him. Knowledgeable, experienced, personable, and organized.

    Mach Evolution
    We have now been attending the Mach Evolution personal training program for several months now and it has been going great.  We attend 3 times per week for 30 minute sessions. The sessions are non stop for the entire time with a combination of cardio and weight lifting/resistance training.  They really tailored the program to meet our needs and fitness goals. We actually have a lot of fun attending, in a twisted sort of way. It is more expensive to attend here compared to a "regular" gym, but I think that the accountability makes it worth it.  If you are a member of a regular gym, but are not attending on a regular basis, then I would highly recommend checking out Mach Evolution.  They just recently doubled the size of the gym and added a yoga studio and yoga instructor.  Yoga is not my thing so I can't comment on that portion of the program/gym, but we really have been enjoying being part of the Mach Evolution family.
