    Avant LASIK Spa
    Extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment scheduled for a consultation. I took a day off of work and drove an hour and a half one way (3 hrs total) to get there only to find out that no one showed up for work that day. The office was locked up and dark. I called the listed number and it appears that I spoke to someone in a call center. They were courteous and after a short wait, they assured me that someone was "going to be there shortly." When I asked how long "shortly" was because I had a baby with me, I was told about 10 min. 45 min later, no one had still showed up. I called back and spoke to a different person who apologized and said to not wait any longer and that someone would contact me to remedy the situation. I got a call today by someone who opened with "So, what's this about?". Call me crazy by I believe this is not proper customer service. After I explained to her what happened, she asked me if I was available on Thursday. I told her that I don't plan on "just" rebooking as if nothing happened. Avant Lasik "Spa" wasted my day and cost me money (because I had to take a day off of work). I don't want to just rebook. I want to hear what they will do to remedy this. After she heard what I had to say she mumbled something and said hold on and I got transferred to a someone's voice mail. I guess I'd expect a little better service from a place that calls itself Spa and charges upward of $4,000 for a procedure. I held off on writing a review in hopes that when I was contacted by them they had some sort of apology or explanation, instead I got manhandled by a rude secretary. Her entire tone was like SHE was doing me a favor by re-scheduling me.

    I don't know the name of the doctor. I think she is an Asian woman and her name may by Dr. Nguyn. I followed her from another location which got me started going to Sears. I am loving my glasses. In fact, last night people were complimenting me on my glasses. They are helping train me to use my new glasses. They are great. My doctor recommended them. No more bifocals for me and they are very stylish. Apart from one bad occurrence -- I think I talked to the doctor's office manager and that person is not there any more -- it has been really good. The rest of them go above and beyond. I get my contacts there now.

    I was 10 minutes late to the appointment (my own fault). The staff told me that the doctor was stickler for timeliness, and they would have to see if she would still care to see me. When I replied that I could certainly go elsewhere, they apologized and quickly processed me through. I won't go into how ironic that is since I generally have to sit and wait for my doctors well past the actual appointment time. The doctor then proceeded to make me feel she was doing me a favor by still accepting me despite my tardiness. I guess this is the view from the other side, however.
    Once the exam began, the doctor took her time to explain things in much greater detail than any of my previous doctors. She was very thorough, and the called attention to some things that were incorrect from my previous doctors. She also ordered 6 months of contacts for me and gave me a coupon that, when combined with my VSP plan, netted a great cost of about $25.
    Good value, and good quality of service make it a good mark overall in my book. I'll just have to note that this doctor doesn't mess around and will actually be on time to your appointment as she expects you to be on time to yours.

    My appointment went very well. The staff is friendly and courteous, and Dr. Weisman is outstanding. Upon arrival and check in, I was seen by a nurse almost immediately. Dr. Weisman was running behind, which is normal. He is usually 10-20 minutes late to the appointment. All told, I was in the office for approximately 60-75 minutes.

    He is very good. The first time I saw him was almost 25 years ago. He operated on my eyes. He was very good then. However, my health insurance changed and I could not see him anymore. Now, I have a different health insurance and I can go back to him. I decided to go back to him because I was very pleased with his service that I had received before. He had told me that I could go back to him. He is very thorough and very knowledgeable. However, his availability is a little difficult.  I am not sure if he is doing full office hours. I think he is cutting back a little. I will use his services again in the future.

    Every time I go there I get great service. Sometimes there is a long wait for getting an appointment with them. You have to call them a couple of months in advance. The doctors are knowledgeable and friendly. They cover all the tests. They are just great. I am very happy with them.
